The watch is not carrier specific. As long as you have a smartphone to pair it to, it should work.

In french it doesn't say "pro" anywhere.
Some glimps of hope maybe?
Do European models of the LGOG come with 4.2.2?
Sent from my LG Optimus G
Nope.
So no update for the OG? Damn....
So far the only official version we have is 4.1.2 for all variants.
Would be nice even if one variant gets 4.4 cause then it can be ported like how the Korean rom was ported and then later the HK one before NA officially got 4.1.2
Just remember, the fragmentation of Android don't benefits the Google... So the company has been trying recruiting all devices eligible to dissemination of SO... Including LGOG... Maybe not in October, but most fast possible.... My opinion

LG would be the saddest smartphone company if they didn't update their one year old Flagship. Take hints from Samsung, LG
Sent from my LG Optimus G
Most smartphone users do not care about software updates. They do not know the importance of it. Just want Facebook working well on a big screen and durable battery. Why in my opinion it would take to update our OG is trying to avoid fragmentation of Android, not the anxiety of a minority of users ...

If such phones like the L7,L5 and L3 will get the update im sure that our G will get it too.
C'mon guys what a comparison L3 vs the G, its more a joke.
LG should drop their own software and form a partnership with Cyanogenmod. Simple as that. No problems with software and they could only concentrate on hardware.
please not!!!!
LG UI is one of the gratest interfaces i´ve ever seen!

Weird how LG replies with news of an update, when they ignore everyone who needs support
I'm hoping above all else that we do, but it just seems weird that an LG phone would be among the first to receive an update considering the company's history
Sent from my LG Optimus G
I think the Nexus devices would have the exclusivity for at least a month before any other device gets the update.
Well i just read that lg france answered a user asking for the kit kat update for our lgog and they said it will be ready to launch this month

why does the feature to learn other remote controls is not implented in the G pro ?
is there any technical limitations on the G pro?
are we going to see some update so we can have this brilliant feature as well ?

This was my one disappointment with the G pro's remote feature, out not being programmable via IR
Sent from my LG-E980
Exactly. This would made this remote ultimate forever.
Actually I'm curious about this. Is it hardware limitation?

I believe the G pro only has a IR LED and no IR photo diode, so it is not possible to receive any IR signals into the device. Whereas the G2 should have both an integrated component with both an LED and photo diode. So the G pro can only transmit and its a hardware issue. I'm assuming LG did this to save money, but its a little strange that they would go for something cheap here as the device is meant to be premium and the cost is minuscule.
Are you positive that it is a hardware limitation? The quick remote apk from a G2 could solve the problem for the g pro. I can give the apk if someone wants to try out.

Correct. I read this somewhere and cannot remember or I would provide the link. It is a hardware limitation. The phone does not have the receive part or IR only the send.

I live in nyc in an Optimum (Cablevision) area and want to buy this tablet as an XMAS gift to replace a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for my fiance. About 75% of her usage of the tablet is to watch live TV via the Optimum app.
We know the Optimum app is not compatible/available for all Android tablets. Seeing as the G Pad 8.3 is new, I'm concerned I'll buy this tablet and the Optimum app will not be available for it. Can somebody who has the app please let me know??
1. Is the Optimum app compatible/available in Play store (I don't do rooting...I'm scared of it lol) for install to the G Pad 8.3? And note I'm not talking about the Optimum DVR manager but rather the Optimum app that allows you to watch live TV when you are home via the app.
2. If it is compatible, does it work well?
Thank you thank you thank you to anyone who can help!! :cyclops:
Anyone???
Can somebody just go to the Google Play store on their G Pad 8.3 and tell me if they see the Optimum app there? If it's not available yet, it wouldn't show up.
A little help, dudes!

Actually - I'm really confused now because the optimum website actually lists the Google Nexus 4 as one of the Android devices it is compatible with. Hmmmm.....

Did not work at all and the last picture tried to keep popping up throughout the tablet until I uninstalled it.

Maybe the GPE is compatible? If you are looking for 8inch tab, the Tab 3 8.0 is pretty good. Just an opinion.

This is odd - as there is a thread on Android Central about the G Pad and Optimum app and they all claim it works fine: http://forums.androidcentral.com/lg-g-pad-8-3/341304-lg-g-pad-8-3-optimum-app.html
Anyone know what the heck might be happening?

Any chance somebody who is an Optimum customer can give it a shot one more time and try running the app. I'm being told by people on Android Central that the app works perfectly fine on their G Pad 8.3.
This weekend is buying weekend for me so I need to figure this out.
Thanks! Happy Holidays!
im planning on getting either a K7 or a K10 on friday. Anyone know which is easier to root?
Ive seen a lot of stuff on google for the K10 but most of it has bad english and makes me skeptical
I have a K10 on TMobile and I have not found anything solid either about how to root. I would recommend the K10 though. Since they are both budget phones and not as high end as the G5 I don't think you will find anything really.
The K7 has less RAM and only 8 GB of ROM. You will hate it on no time flat. Just don't...
