They do but luckily for you, HTC have pulled the most recent update as it was causing problems for users! When the update is back up and you flash it you will be unable to root your DHD as HTC have patched the exploit we have used to attain root.
The lastest update didn't add any unmissable features, but just fixed some bugs (such as the above mentioned exploit) and added others, there is an improvement in battery life but that is due to the new radio, which you can flash seperately.
Ahh. Thanks for the info, but is it difficult to root the DHD? I previously had a rooted HTC hero.

Hey everyone. I wanted to ask a question about the GPE HTC one m8. I was wondering if it's possible to put the stock HTC one m8 Rom on it. I've tried the stock Rom on the Verizon version and I liked it but am unsure if I can put the stock Rom on the gpe HTC one.

Yes it will get an official Lollipop update around March - April!
If your dying to have Lollipop you can use the official CM12 until then.
HTC has been rolling out Lollipop updates to Desire 816 since April 15. But Not many of us are lucky enough to get it first. How many of you have already got the update and what variant are you using?
