Test Lollipop Custom ROMs

HI all! I just saw a test build from COMMOTIO for the E980! And it is LOLLIPOP! B74 is out now in their latest nightly experimental. Anyone who wants to test it just go to their download links!
I can't test it properly as I have F240. So anyone with E980 can test it!

Well I tried it. Smooth and good looking, though more stock than custom. Of course since I use F240, I have no sound and external SD is not being read.

How long did the rom take to boot up for you?

Hmm. Around 5 - 6 minutes. It takes long but it's worth it.

If anyone can build/port a Lollipop kernel for F240, then it would be freaking awesome. Even the stock L ROM is gorgeous.

BooYah Baby. It's installed on my E980.
Wipe data/factory reset
Install ROM
Then gapps
If phone will not Boot flash the fix from Optimus G3 ROM.
Main issue is no home button unlock

very smoot user interface,
first boot take 2 minutes,

Since it's just an experimental, expect BUGS and here and there not working. Anyone here that visits Chinese and Vietnamese forums may find updates for the F240?

I use Philz Touch and it works well. It's for E980.

I know it is still early days, but anyone who has run this rom for 1 day , 'feels' any improvement in battery life? Project volta was touted as a big part of the lollipop update

Since the e980 has a CM12 device tree up there on Github, doesn't that mean anyone can compile the kernel to use with any CM build with it now? (The only CM I've built was Pac-man a few weeks back, so I'm fresh fish in this.) I know if I were going to go CM again I'd love to tweak some Lollipop with Pacman (love that one).

I just installed using cwm....camera not working, sound settings doesn't open so far....

anyone got any ideas ?

you are using cyanogenmod repos to build omnirom... but omnirom doesn't have all the optimizations that cm has regarding watchdog and demigod handler.. the error is related to EFS (efs means modem that means modem subsystem error for watchdog)

Only cyanogen repo i am using is for the kernel and vendor files.
Do u have a g3 aosp tree?

there is a reason why omni is not realeased yet for g3 ^^ that's because it's not supported yet the only aosp repos available for g3 are cm ones so.. neither full aosp is buildable for g3 ( i tried different times with no success)

naaaaah it's ok don't worry (i know you're sarcastic, but before going sarcastic.. just get some informations.. the only LG device with official omni support is LG Optimus 4X HD.. sooti were already working on omni soome time ago https://github.com/sooti/android_device_lge_g3-common/tree/omni-5.0 but neither him made it work.. maybe you don't know what he and me have done, we were the first 2 guys here to bring cyanogenmod 12 to you guys before it was officially released.. maybe you know something about building roms but maybe i know too and maybe if i tell you directly that it is not yet possible to build it there is a reason)

i tried on my oppo n1,
i got it flash from the program called shua ji jing ling aka flash rom genie (most prolly a china based)
this is a potential for all n1 user to try the 5.1
the hiccups i faced so far
-the googleplay store is not inside, i still trying to get it to work
- the default camera apps can take one picture after that the shutter wont move the second one, im using the open camera for camera
- so far so good for the rest, will try to report back if i face any more problems or headaches

I didn't like this ROM. Simply because automatic rotation refused to work.
Alternatively, use Mokee, from www.mokeedev.com
Available for 4.4, 5.0, and 5.1. No major flaws with Mokee apart from the occasional camera problem. Comes with an OTA update app as well, which makes it a lot easier.
Just install Minimal Gapps over the top and everything is good.

By the way, Xposed for 5.1 works pretty well with this, HOWEVER; It is NOT recommended to be installed.
With Xposed installed, you CANNOT update this ROM with the built in update functions. You have to download the full ROM and do a full wipe. Not an issue, if you don't mind doing it, but it does get irritating after doing it so many times.

why does not work for rotation?because you base rom is not Coloros2.0,please flash the full coloros2.o before you flash other roms,and wipe before flash

I always do a full wipe before flashing a ROM. I tried most of your ports, but unfortunately the rotation didn't work. Good work with them, though, they are very high quality. I'll give them a go again.
Are you saying I need to flash a ColorOS ROM?

Ok thanks. Why is this though? Is it due to firmware?

What about the battery life? I tried it one month ago and the N1 seldom reached the night with a normal usage

I cant find the rom anymore

About GEEHRC Roms.

Hey guys, I just realized a few of things in another forums what I was visiting to get another brand new rom.
The thing is, A guy in comment say that He can't use some sensors and stuff like screen rotation, etc.
I've the same problem like that guy, so, while reading the comments a guy says "You must to install first axxionkat 4.4 rom to get the full control or the sensors before to get a GEEHRC rom"
Now, I was looking for this rom and it seems it just dissapeared
So, What options I have now?
There is another 4.4 roms To install before a GEEHRC ?

Hmm, i used the Stock LG Rom for long time and my last one was Android 4.4, firmware "E97520B_00".
Now i've updated to a custom Rom in case of Android 6.
The first was "PureNexus 6.0.0 r26" but i've got some problems with it, for example all Compass Apps like [APP][2.2+][Free] gabenative Compass did not work.
So now i try the Omni Rom [ROM] [GEEHRC] AOSP 6.0.1 [r3] [29/12/15] from Kevinjoa and it seems there is working everything fine.
Dont think you need to install another Rom before to "enable" sensors or similar, just take a Rom from guys who are know what they're doing and it looks like this Kevinjoa knows ^^

Camera works fine with google camera app and seems all Sensors work too, i can test specific if you have an app that uses specific sensors.
Compass Apps and Auto-rotate working fine for now.

Xposed stable for lg g3 d855?

Guys , I am still on Cloudy kitkat ROM on my LG G3 D855 since I heard Xposed for lollipop / marshmallow custom stock/aosp/cynaogen roms isn't stable? Lots of bugs.
Is that true ?
If not, could someone guide me where I could find a very nice and stable working Xposed for lg g3 d855?
And which rom should I flash ?

Currently Xposed doesnt work on STOCK MM v30B firmware. But it works on every other firmware like STOCK 5.0 LP, AOSP,CM 12.1, CM13 without any problems. I will suggest you to try custom stock ROMs like NOVASTOCK 5.5 ROM(google it) or Fulmics ROM if CAMERA is your top priority. For aosp ROMs you may try XEnonHD rom..ALL are stable with no xposed issues.

I run fulmics u have to flash the frame work throught twrp on the exposed page it gives u a bunch of version to dl for lolipop download them all and the uninstall just in case all flashed throught twrp there are diffrent versions and they work with diffrent devices i have version 78sdk22 on mine when u flashem the wrong onesll fail and remeber when it does flash itll take a few min to boot up and remeber to download the uninstall just in case also flashed in twrp to uninstall the framework case of bootloop

This is weird, actually worked very well for me, you just gotta wipe all.

I dont have the link search for xposed framework for lolipop im sorry but thats about as simplified as i know
