How do people get the stock firmware img rom files from Samsung (Not the updates, but the stock firmware) - which is used for ODIN?
Over in the Note 4 forums, we are trying to build an ODIN flashable img, but need to get the Samsung firmware.
Is this from Samsung, or do you need root to extract it from the phone itself?
Thanks!

I have a rooted GSM Galaxy Nexus that I want to return to stock ROM and Stock recovery image.
I was wondering if I can do this using Odlin and flashing the Google (yakju-icl53f-factory-89fccaac.tgz) file I downloaded from the Google site? This is suppose to be the 4.0.3 image file for the GSM version and should have the ROM and Recovery images?
I have flashed stock recovery files using Odlin on my Galaxy S2 in the past and it worked like a charm. Just looking for the simplest way to go back to stock.
If the Odlin method will work, do I boot up using the power+volume down key to get into download mode and just select the tar file using the PDA key and flash it? Do I just flash over my existing ROM without wiping?
I haven't used Odin since my fascinate days but you can use fastboot if you'd like, I find it to be easier than Odin.

I may sound like a noob but which files do I use with fastboot? I would like to get a link to the proper files and procedure to flash my GSM Galaxy Nexus back to the stock ROM and Recovery image for 4.0.3.
Hi, tried to bypass Google restriction with installing some modded firmware via CWR, now phone is in recovery boot. Maybe somebody has original flash file for Chinese Galaxy Grand GT-i9082i_VE ?
If I try to flash with stock firmware for regular i9082 i always get "fail" so need stock firmware for this particular model
TIA

I need Stock firmware for SGH-S730M.
I found a stock cwm zip.
But I need odin flash able firmware.
Can anyone have?
Long story short soft bricked my phone a few days ago. i was told that flashing a new rom through odin would do the trick but I cant simply flash the stock 4.4.2. Mostly on the account that Samsung issued 4.3 and 4.4 OTA. And when I do come across a rom chances are its flashable zip through a recovery, which is what I dont need, as my phone is not turning on. I mean since I am at 4.4.2 I cant find the stock firmware online. I mean seriously I know theres a devloper out there who has a 4.4.2 rom in the tar.md5. Custom rom or not makes absolutely no difference to me.
Thanks in advance and much appreciated to anyone with advice
Your phone is not turning on? If it doesn't turn on, there's no way to flash a ROM.
So where can I get I747m 4.4.2 stock firmware in zip format? I have downloaded stock firmwares from different sites but they are all in tar.md5 format. I need one that works with sp flash tool.

There is no zip format for the stock ROMs AFAIK.
There is a stock 4.4.2 rom available for i747, Odin flashable. If you can get into download mode.
I need a ROM that's flashable with sp flash tool as my phone is hard bricked and I am trying to revive it.

Hello, I was wondering if exist somewhere a collection of images to flash modem partition. Searching through the forum or sammobile I've found only full stock rom...
Edit: in my case I'm interested in (P605) LTE version...
Not sure if there is a collection of ready to flash images, but you could always extract the modem.bin from the full stock firmware, create an Odin .tar, and flash.
