Hi,
I unlocked Oneplus 3 and installed TWRP then OxygenOS Community 3.5.3
Everything was working fine, I had to reset mobile, so went to setting and reset.
It crashed Recovery. Now I am unable to boot into recovery, I tried to flash recovery using fastboot and it end successfully but still can't boot into recovery.
I tried to format recovery partition and got this error.
Formatting is not supported for filesystem with type ''.
Somehow filesystem of recovery isn't recognized.
Any help will be apperciated.
try using fastboot to flash different recovery, 3.5.3 messed me up the same way, I can't remember what I did but I remember having to fastboot different twrps i believe i ended up using 3.0.2.0-19 and it finally booted back into recovery. 3.5.3 firmware is known to break twrp. Fastboot different twrps until it boots into one and do not flash 3.5.3

I was given a bad kindle fire hd 8.9 that failed a factory update and was stuck in a factory boot loop with restore options that didn't work. I have done a lot of work on it and have gotten it to the point where I have TWRP 3.0.1 on it and I think I have the drivers working correctly. It shows up in device manager, fastboot works, and I can transfer files via windows explorer over to it. I can flash a rom via twrp after dragging files to it in windows explorer, but after flashing ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.6.9-20160528-jem.zip and open_gapps-arm-6.0-nano-20160605.zip it just reboots back into TWRP. I have tried to use the 2nd bootloader thread and did the following:
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash bootloader kfhd8-u-boot-prod-8.1.4.bin
fastboot -i 0x1949 flash boot kfhd8-freedom-boot-8.4.6.img
and I already have TWRP 3.0.1, so I didn't re-flash that. After that, within TWRP, I flash the resurrection remix rom and gapps, but it boots back to TWRP when I reboot it after a successfull rom install. Any ideas? Thanks!
Never mind. It booted successfully after several reboots with it going to recovery. Not sure why it took that many reboots or power cycles to boot.
So everything has been fine up until my device started hemoraging storage randomly, So i thought I would just reboot into recovery and wipe everything and just restart with CM13. I attempted to reboot into TWRP 3.0.2.0 and TWRP just looped over and over. I can still boot into the OS, DD'ing /dev/zero and then the recovery image doesn't seem to fix this issue though. and since we don't have fastboot mode I can't just boot the recovery image manually. Anyone have any solutions other than using ODIN since I use Linux on all my computers?
Hi,
following situation: i need to go back to stock as I am selling the phone.
My phone was encrypted somehow...
I have installed TWRP
I did flash latest Oxygen 4.1.5 Full Rom succesfully.
Then, I started decryption by using fastboot command "fastboot erase userdata" which was successfull. The decryption was away. But: Phone does not boot anymore into Android. I can only go to Fastboot and TWRP.
In TWRP I cannot mount "data" partition ( not possible to even check it as mount-option) and cannot do a factory reset (I see many red error messages then). If I boot phone normally, it shows Oneplus logo and then reboot into recovery. I assume my data partition was deleted?! I
I tried ADB sideload and sideloaded the full rom again, which ended successfully, but I still cannot boot into Android, same happens: it restarts into recovery automatically
Any idea what I should do now?
Many thanks for any help from you guys!
Try fastboot format system and userdata and then try to sideload again.
Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk
i trief format data before posting here but ended in errors too
Now i trief format system and format userdata and sideloaded again. All is back working now, thx very much Explorer23!
Hello, I have a huuuuge problem.
Every time I try to flash TWRP through cmd, nothing happenes. I have all needed files, my phone is being recognized in adb devices, reboots on command, is on fastboot devices list, reboots on fastboot reboot command, but it totally do nothing when I use fastboot flash recovery twrp.img command. Maybe it's my drivers fault, because last time i uninstalled my device through Device Manager, somehow it worked and I flashed TWRP. But then I switched to MIUI and as expected TWRP was removed. And I cannot flash it, please help
Did you update to latest MIUI?
Yes, right now I'm on Global Stable.
Turn your pc into a new one then you will.
Why turn your PC into a new one? resetting?
IsnĀ“t there another solution?
Removes old data such as adb, platformtool, twrp.then can do it.I've come across and solved this way Do not know why
xx
Posted another tread:
I struggled a lot installing TWRP. I did not succeed flashing TWRP from my PC. My solution was:
Starting up TWRP: fastboot boot twrp.img / boot command only boot and does not flash.
Thereafter installed Magisk 17.1 from TWRP for rooting
Thereafter flashed TWRP / I tested flashing both by using Flashify and TWTP Manager and both worked.
Maybe by using Flashify I had to use an older version of TWRP. Think TWRP Manager let me install 3.2.3-0 direct without problems.
Yesterday i was trying to flash a pixel experience rom on my poco f3 but i was stupid enough to flash it while still in my custom rom. When i tried to flash the pixel recovery it didn't work so i tried doing it again and my phone didn't boot.
It was completely dead , i tried numerous ways but all of them failed .But when i tried holding down both power volume and power button it somehow turned on straight to arrow os. But now when i try booting into recovery mode it straight up boots into the system .I figured that my recovery was messed up so i tried installing twrp through fast boot mode. My phone goes into fastboot mode fine but it doesnot get recognized by my pc .
Get Mi Flash, and install the USB drivers in there.
Then you should be able to do "fastboot boot twrp.img" or the equivalent for OrangeFox.
Make sure to use TWRP or OrangeFox that support Android 12/13 !!!
If you use Windows PowerShell instead of CMD, do "./fastboot boot twrp.img" so basically add "/." before command.
Once in Custom Recovery, install the RamDisk.
Get Full MIUI Recovery ZIP from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com and flash it in Recovery, and then wipe data.
Boot system, then boot back into TWRP/OF and flash your Custom ROM of choice and wipe data afterwards.
Thanks seems like i had some drivers missing i installed twrp and it is working great. Thank you for your time
