Hi,
Can anyone provide me a QCN of an european OP3 ? You can strip down the IMEI of it, as IMEI is the last thing I am looking for.
I am trying to unlock mi5 bands using this as a guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/radio-enable-lte-band-3-nexus-5-d820-t2928561
and I think I am very close.
Basically what they do is to add the necessary paramaters to the NVRAM so as the phone can use other bands.
OP3 and mi5 are very close hardware speaking and I think I can use the NVItems of the OP3 that are missing in the mi5 so as to make it work with the b20 band.
I am pretty sure this technique can be used to activate bands in the OP3 if the hardware permits. Specially, transplanting bands from CN OP3 to EU OP3.
cheers

Well,
I do not think it belongs to Questions&Answers were the other posts with unlock bands are.
Neither to App mods.
I think it goes to other development since what I am trying to do here is write on the EFS partition. But well, I might well be wrong.
Well...
Not trying to be mean but you are asking for something rather than providing a solution. One you have a solution then you can post it under the development section. Q&A section is best place for what you asking . I am looking forward to your solution! I am on T-Mobile and Unlocking more bands would be awesome.
smh, you're asking a question so you should do it on the QA section lol
Not sure if this would work the way you're hoping for ... There *may* be actual hardware differences as there are two model numbers. Europe has the A3003 while US and China have A3000.

I do not need the whole QCN, I only need these NVItems (I think you can get them with EFSExplorer):
<NvItem id="21003" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_B20_MAX_TX_POWER_DB10_I
<NvItem id="24243" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_B20_TX_MULTI_LIN_V3_DATA_I
<NvItem id="25227" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_B20_CA_BC_CONFIG_I
<NvItem id="27462" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_C0_B41_FBRX_MODE_VS_GAIN_VS_TEMP_VS_FREQ_I"
<NvItem id="28187" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_C0_B20_FBRX_MODE_VS_GAIN_VS_TEMP_VS_FREQ_Z_I"
<NvItem id="27408" subscriptionid="0" name="RFNV_LTE_C0_B20_FBRX_DC_CAL_VAL_I
Anyone ?
Please, we are very close to unlock bands that are not in the NVRAM. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5/how-to/progress-trying-to-unlock-bands-t3337476/page41

Just buy the normal Gnex and unlock the bootloader it with ADB (many guides on this) and than flash CWM and a custom ROM.. If you are in the state and want carrier unlock than buy it online or purchase an SIM unlock code for it.
There is no need to hunt down an engineering phone. The nexus was made to be a "dev" phone so you can easily root/mod it.
The only reason to get an Engineering device would be that it potentially could have access to early versions of software updates. My opinion would be though, if you have to ask what is different about it, you should probably just buy a normal version of the device as it would be less likely that you'll ruin the phone.

As I had indicated in the linked thread quoted by Pechkin000, if the engineering bootloader on the Galaxy Nexus is similar to the engineering bootloader on the Nexus One, you have access to many more fastboot commands (although most of them would not be useful to the non-technical user). I would love to have access to an engineering bootloader.

Hello there.
I'm about to receive one of these from Gearbest, and from what I've read, it's likely that it will come with WW software but the device itself it's the CN version.
I already have bookmarked the tutorial to flash everything to WW, but my doubt is, what about LTE bands? Is it really possible to unlock all bands? How?
Is there anything anyone can recommend for this device regarding roms and mods?
Thank you in advance.
I know that the question may be a little noob-ish, or even a bit stupid (I don't know), but please, can anyone help?
its seems that nobody have this phone. Im going to buy one in aliexpress, it looks like a great phone but, without suport.
When and if you two get these phones and depending on what they are which you dont know at the minute, there is a forum for ze551ml which covers everything from bricked devices to changing LCDs

No need to be ironic man, I have my fair share of XDA experience, I just never came across a region-specific device that inspite having the same hardware worldwide, doesn't have all network frequencies available on every baseband... What I asked basically was, is it really possible to have all LTE bands available on a CN device, and secondly, based on users experience here, is there any rom, kernel or mod that you can recommend...

Mine is from Gearbest, it's not a fake, but the problem is... They only sell the CN version of the Zenfone, and what they do to sell it to Euro users is flash the WW version of the firmware but they don't convert the device fully. Anyway, for 123 euros is still not a bad deal, considering its the 4gb ram version.
Thanks for your help

China - bloatware - no need
Global - useless - no need
Eu - everything global has and more regarding updates, root ability, and twrp working without issues.
EU. Plain and simple. Anyone tells you otherwise, they haven't tested enough.

Hi opasha,
Appreciate that. But I need to touch on something I asked you before. I researched the xiaomi mi a2. It works on verizon flawlessly even when verizon implies it may not work on their network. In like manner and the fact that both phones are xiaomi, do you think the mi max 3 can still work on verizon?

I've got to be honest , with the options for Miracast ( built in) and Chromecast ( using apps) i would have thought plugging in a phone these days is a bit superfluouse. I've been using both to cast my phone to a Projector ,TV and Speakers, and have not even thought about USB 3 leads now.

I have MSM Tool for the 7T, but now we need someone who can modify it so we can convert to international. does anybody know the process or is familiar with it and confident enough to do it?
Thanks for getting it for us all. Now we have a restore method as well.
Is there a password on the tool?

In the previous thread, we discussed a method to convert T-Mobile 6T's to the international variant, sort of, but it required an unlocked bootloader, which itself requires a SIM unlock which T-Mobile gives people a hard time about.
However, it is through @Dark Nightmare and @iaTa's efforts that we've come this far. Today, I share with everyone a new method to turn a T-Mobile 6T into an international variant. One that does NOT require an unlocked bootloader or a SIM unlock!
Before you proceed: Following the steps below WILL wipe your phone. Please backup all of your important files from the phone before proceeding.
Here are the steps:

I PM'd mauronfrio, along with someone else, I do have the files unzipped, the ROM, MSM and the drivers.
I don't see anything in the post about how we patch the files. I would assume you need something from the international variant. I did not want to make a post with links because I don't know how to go about installing the drivers and I figured it would be better to wait until someone patches it but if anybody has driver experience and needs to restore their phone I will give you the link.

How did you manage that? I couldn't get the app to work with my P4XL even after they did the override.
If an unlock-less conversion method comes out for the 7T or McLaren 5G like it did for the 6T, I'm going to JOD to those.

Hi all,
Dropping in because i can't seem to find a definitive answer when it comes to this particular device, Is it possible to go to the global rom, Simply because i want all the appropriate google services to work, I realize that it can be a bit risky going root and magisk and the like but i'm not after anything fancy, I've already started the process to unlock the bootloader and won't be able to do anything with it until friday aside from use it in it's current form.

6GB is enough for mid tier chipset, let 8GB+ for flagship ones. But if it 8/256GB, I'll jump in just because more storage never hurts nowdays. I don't use clouds so even 128GB will be filled to brim in 3 months, and hybrid slot sim suck

Yes there is 8GB RAM edition from N8Pro, China only.
I guess you can turn it to Global or Indian by unlocking the bootloader and flash the firmware using Mi Flash

Oh yeah i knew there is an 8 gig version, i was looking to buy that but my seller (Authorized Reseller) told me there won't be such model for some time because it's a fluff spec... But now that I've been using the 6/128 version i have to say I'm glad because almost all the talk about this device concerns the 6/128 model...
