[Q] Question about USB Flex cable Tmobile GS2

Hello to all!!
I recently brought a Tmobile Galaxy S II "SGH-T989". Now, this phone has a bad USB port / Flex cable. I'm pulling my hair out trying to find the part on the internet but all I can find if the USB Flex cable for the SamSung Galaxy S2 II "i9100" and not the "SGH-T989". Does anybody out there know if the i9100 USB Flex cable is compatible with the SGH-T989 phone? And if not, then where the heck can I buy the USB Flex Cable for my phone.
I'm sure this is a noob question and I'm sorry about that. But any help I can get will be very much appreciated.
It should be the same Samsung cable and charging cube for any of the Galaxy S2's including the Sprint and ATT version.

Awesome!!
Thanks for the reply. I ordered the part on Ebay. The seller believes it won't work but the part was only $10. So what the heck? Why not give it a try!! Again, thx for the reply.
No problem. My wife just got her Tmobile GS2. The charger cube and cable are exactly the same as the one that came with my Sprint Epic 4g Touch. You are smart that you bought the factory OEM cable because the aftermarket ones you can buy for 2 bucks are junk.

He means the flex cable that connect the USB port of the phone to the motherboard of the phone. Not the actual USB cable.
Doesn't look like there is an actual cable connecting the port to the motherboard. Looks like it's soldered directly on the board. Link for part: http://www.wirelesspartsinc.com/samsungt959a687i9000epici897chargingport-6.aspx
The part I'm talking about is the "Dock Connector Charging Port Flex Cable for SamSung Galaxy S2". I googled, ebay'd, etc, etc and only found the part for the i9100. I tried to reply with a pic but the website won't let me post outside links until I post 10 times. Sorry.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, I can't see any references to the analogous part for the SGH-T989 either. The disassembly video I found on YT didn't get far enough to see that cable either so I got nothing for ya. I don't know why they would use a different part though considering the phones are so similar. Best of luck.
update?

MHL not working

I'm having problem with my 8.4. It is rooted on stock.
I can't get MHL to work, I tested the cable on my SII and it works fine. I don't know what's wrong with it.
carefully check connector pin count

From pictures on Ebay the charge+ port on the S2 has 7 pins in line. For sure, the microUSB port on the 8.4 has one row of 5 plus another row of 6. Thats 11 pins. The plug might fit in the hole, but it ain't goin' work.
There are a couple HDMI adapters for the 8.4 that do work fine. See the thead under accessories.
MHL cable layout changed from the Galaxy S3 onwards. The cable I bought after the change has worked on all my Samsung devices since. They are cheap as chips on ebay.
11 pin adapter
I have the newer MHl to HDMI along with 11 pin adapter and still MHL not working

[Q] New lcd cable

So, I broke my lcd cable and I haven't found new one yet. Can I just buy new lcd cable from somewhere or do I have to buy new screen ? Or can I take lcd cable from another phone ?

[Q] Cables always come loose?

I have had my Nexus 7 2013 pretty much since launch date and I have always had a problem with the micro usb cables coming loose (I have tried various ones). This has never really been a major issue until recently I bought a OTG Y cable to connect it, and then to connect a Wireless adapater to it for using Kali Tools on my tablet.
The problem is, the slightest touch to the cable, and I mean you only have to look at the cable and it comes loose effectively disconnecting and interrupting the power from the OTG and wireless adapter.
Is this a known problem and is there a fix?
The cables just never seem to go far enough in and wobble side to side far too easily, so although it was never a major problem for me before I am finding it extremely annoying and frustrating right now!
Thanks
Take the back cover off, use a pair of needle-nose pliers to GENTLY squeeze the connector back together, replace back.
