Decent Tempered Glass: Orzy V2 VS Nilkin H+ Pro VS PLESON - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

Only there 3 are available in my area. I am asking those who have tried all, or at least 2 out of these 3. Which of these is the more decent one, and why?
I know none are perfect, and they each got their own issues. But what I would dislike most are these 2 flaws: Visible halo effect when the screen is on, and much worse sunlight readability.
I know there are loads of tempered glass threads out there, but there are so many conflicting stories out there, it gets too confusing. Though I noticed most comments are from people who have only tried 1 of these 3, so they wouldn't be able to compare.
P.S. I am rocking the Spigen Neo Hybrid case.

What is your current tempered glass? Well i have tried Orzy Pro-Fit v1 which was fit good only with a cheap Chinese hybrid case (No Spigen , Tudia supports). And i've ordered Nilkin H+ Pro + Orzy Pro-Fit V2 as well. I'll let you know when it arrives

Nothing. I just removed the stock plastic screen protector today cause it's a fingerprint magnet, and I'm not very afraid of scratches. I'm afraid of falls (hence the case), thus looking for tempered glass.

[Q] How is the SGP Ultra Crystal screen protector?

After careful consideration, I decided to purchase both the Case-Mate Tough & SGP Neo Hybrid cases for my liking.
Anyhow, I also wanted to decide on a screen protector. The Neo Hybrid case should come with a SGP Ultra Crystal. Reviewing the specs on the website, it seems to be the "thickest" screen protector that would offer the most robust protection. That's great! I could care less for fingerprints... I'm just paranoid that I'll damage my beautiful screen!
Anyhow, I wanted to know how good the SGP Ultra Crystal SP is? For all you that have it, is it a good SP? Coming from a Zagg InvisibleShield on my other phones, I was just worried that wet applicators could damage my $700 phone (yikes!). Thus, I wanted to stick with dry, but still also have good scratch protection. What amazed me was that the Neo Hybrid case actually COMES with that SP... so a double bonus.
I am just wondering for all those people who either have Case-Mate Tough or SGP Neo Hybrid cases (or both!) and/or use the SGP Ultra Crystal SP... (or those that JUST use the SP and another case that I have not mentioned). What are your thoughts? Is it scratch-proof? Is it safe to use? Does it peel up? Any case fitting problems either? Do you have any problems with it?
I've never used anything from SGP at all before. The only SP I've ever used was the InvisibleShield that had to be professionally installed (at a fee!) by the Zagg guys at my local malls, so I'll have to learn how to install the SGP screen protectors.
I'm not sure where you're getting the thickest cuz it certainly is the thinnest from way I've used. I had zagg and it was thick and not smooth. The sgp ultra crystal is smooth and thin and gives the estate clarity.

I´ve used a SGP crystal for my SGS1 and had it one from when i bought it and to when I gave it to my gf (it´s still on) and have been on for 1 year so far.
no straches, no air bubbles, dosnt peel. very close fit.
And I guess its the same for a SGSII, already ordered one, and waiting for it to arrive for my phone

I have the sgp ultra fine and it is amazing, the only problem I have found is that if you're looking at one solid colour, it seems to have lots of speckles over it, but that is rarely noticeable.

According to SGP's main website and their specifications, it states that the Ultra Crystal:
"25% Thicker than Previous Model, Hard coated for Scratches and Scuffs Proof, Ultimate Clarity surface hardness: 4H."
All the other models (i.e., Optics, Fine, Oleophobic) did not have this saying and also had a lower hardness (3H). Thus, I figured the Ultra Crystal would be the thickest based on these specifications and would be most protected against scratches.
I'm just really looking for people who have had or did not have problems with this SP.
good screen protector,i am using on my phone and very happy with it
Thanks for the replies and updates. A few more questions for those who are using/or had the SGP Ultra Crystal screen protector.
Any of yours staying still? Is it really tight? No peeling at all?
And also, according to the reviews, it seems some people are finding it to NOT be scratch resistant at all? Maybe they had an older version? The specs did say "25% thicker than the previous/original" which leads me to believe they may have revised it? It seems 50/50 or split between whether some people think this SP is too thin/easily scratched or not.

I have a SGP SP on my SGS2 w/ a Neo Hybrid case and it's worth it.
I got mine installed at an AT&T store. I just brought it in & asked them if they could install it for me. Everything was done perfectly in less than 10mins.

It sits perfectly still, there's no peeling at all after three months and I don't see it happening any time soon.
I don't find it scratch-prone at all either, though I don't keep it in the same pocket as my keys. Im very happy with my choice of screen protector.

Using the Ultra Crystal and have Zagg on my other phones. I certainly prefer the Ultra Crystal. It is also not thick. The Zagg feels thicker. Protects very well too.
Using the Ultra Crystal and I must say it was super easy to install. It's very clear and nice to the touch for me. Almost reminds me of my iPod's Power Support Crystal Clear screen protector, except the oil stains are way less visible on the SGP one, at least for me.
Thanks again guys for your reviews.
When did you all purchase your SGP Ultra Crystal? I am trying to decipher whether there's an older versus newer version, and what the differences are. I've e-mailed SGP and they're stating that the previous model was not as thick as the newer ones, so...
How new are these "newer" versions? I am not sure.

Well I've never seen the older version before, they always had the newer one listed this year on their site for a long time.
just purchased the ultra crystal and after 3 days of usage, there's a scratch on my protector and I don't keep my phone with my keys or coins. Not a big deal though, because the clarity of the protector is really good and the fingerprints stain aren't as bad as I expected it to be.

I'm curious as well. I've used a Zagg before, and it rarely scratches. Maybe once a year, it may get a small nick somehow and stays permanent. The Zagg guys call it a "burn" a.k.a. a super fast scratch. So I guess all screen protectors may be vulnerable to this.
Anyhow, I have ordered a case + one set of the SPs, so that means I should be getting 3 total Ultra Crystal screen protectors (1 from case package and 2 from the actual SP set). I'm trying to determine whether some are more scratch-prone than others. I'm paranoid when it comes to protecting my screen.
Did your scratch get deep enough onto the actual phone?

nope. the scratch is not deep enough to get onto my phone thankfully. it looks very much like a really really fine scratch that can only be seen under the light. However, its probably due to me being too picky about it. I recently placed an order or the oleophobic sp instead. shall see how it goes when it arrives.
Yeah, I figured I went with the Ultra Crystal as opposed to the other SPs (like Oleophobic, Fine, etc) because its hardness was rated highest (4H) as compared to the others (3H). The fact that it was designed for "extra scuff/scratch" protection made me get it over the other SGP screen protectors.
So I figure Oleophobic may offer better fingerprint resistance, but maybe more scratch prone? Hmm...

Which screen protector to get?

I'm looking for a new screen protector for my 3T. Here's my requirements:
Tempered glass
Doesn't let dust get under it over time
Doesn't keep me from seeing pixels along the edges (rules out OnePlus 3/3T Curved Tempered Glass Screen Protector; see https://youtu.be/rVtWOmDrVGU?t=119)
Covers up the entire display area (rules out OnePlus 3/3T Tempered Glass Screen Protector; see my attached photo)
Works with at least one of the big protective cases like Otterbox Case for OnePlus 3/3T, Spigen Neo Hybrid OnePlus 3 Case / OnePlus 3T Case with Flexible Inner Protection and Reinforced Hard Bumper Frame for OnePlus 3 2016 - Gunmetal, or OnePlus 3T / OnePlus 3 Case, TUDIA Slim-Fit HEAVY DUTY [MERGE] EXTREME Protection / Rugged but Slim Dual Layer Case for OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 3 (Matte Black)
Are there any screen protectors that meet all of these criteria?
the unicorn..gl
Doesn't exist.. that I've seen.
Sigh... Why did OnePlus have to curve the screen? :crying:
Yeah, there's no good tempered glass protector. The only option is a plastic protector.

It comes off eventually, you get the rainbow effect and dust eventually gets underneath it as it only sticks to the edges.
I bought a couple of cheap ones off eBay that go around the home button and speaker. Don't even notice it's on most of the time. I get a little oil spill type effect but that's only when the screens off and not noticeable unless I look for it. Think the key is getting it really stuck down. When I first put it on I ended up with tobacco underneath it from my pocket but carefully took it off and reapplied it and so far it's been fine. Had it on about 2 months maybe 6 weeks and it's been great
I'm having the same issue as you. I'm not sure which tempered glass screen protector to use..
After a little search, it seems like the issue with the official curved screen protector from OnePlus has been fixed. I'm gonna bite the bullet and just go for that once, since it's "official". Will report back with images.

Where'd you see that? I'm under the impression that they said they were going to fix it, but all they ended up doing was adding a disclaimer about the problem to the description page.
Hey everyone,
I bought the curved tempered glass and it was so so so bad I removed it 1 minute after using it.
When you put your finger on the fingerprint sensor, I get the feeling that i'm putting my finger into a hole.
The feeling I get when I look at the screen, its the same as if my phone was outside a window...
It was expensive and I'm not using it. Tried to refund it and the support didnt allowed it.
The curved tempered glass does protect the whole phone into a point that it kills the whole feeling you get when
the phone is naked.
Please do not buy it!
I bought recently the normal tempered glass but I still didnt received it.
When it arrives I'll give some news.
I received these today and applied the first one perfectly. I can't tell there is anything on the screen. They do not attract smudges anymore than the phone's glass which is good.
I am more so trying to protect against micro scratches so do not necessarily need the better protection of glass.

Using the orzly v2 glass and its cool. Yes you can see the dot matrix in direct sunlight, yes you get random rainbow in in hot/humid places. But overall its usually clear and perfect. If you use a case it just blends in and although the extra height is daunting on the home button at first, after a month I can say I can't even tell anymore, not obtrusive at all.
Experience with official tempered glass protector
So just to share my experience with the official curved tempered glass protector from oneplus after using it for some weeks.
I'm using it with the Otterbox case and it does work well together overall. It did happen very rarely that an edge was pushed off by the case when the phone was in my pocket. The visibility of the edges of the screen is impaired, but not to the point that I find it disturbing in every day usage.
So my point is, overall this combination works well and provides good protection while adding reasonable bulk. I think it's a very solid choice as of now.

Yup, quite happy with that. But I'm not 100% persuaded that's actually tempered glass. I managed to get it chipped just by holding it in my pocket with some coins (I assume, as I never dropped it). Nothing major, but never happened with any other glass screen protector before. So, guess that's still going to provide some level of protection but wouldn't trust it too much for major protection.
Apart from that, that's ok for the price.

It seems to have the same problem as the official OnePlus full-coverage protector where you lose some edge pixels, according to the 3-star review on the white model.
I'm on my 2nd Orzly V2 now and it's not too bad. I have limited rainbow affect which is only visible under fluorescent lights and the touch sensitivity is generally OK. It's not great by any means but it's adequate, will protect the screen and is the best out of a poor lot.

Is Spigen [Rugged Armor] case is compatible with Orzly Tempered Glass for Oneplus 5t

I am planning to buy Spigen case but I am worried that Orzly Tempered Glass wont be compatible for my oneplus 5t. So if anyone using this combo, please comment. thanks.
You will have trouble getting any of the 3D glass screen protectors with the Spigen case. Some people have sort of gotten the case to fit around the 3D screen protectors, but they will eventually lift the screen protector. For that case you will need to use one of the flat 2D ones. I tried 5 different ones with my Spigen case, and the only one that actually stuck around all the edges was the Nillkin brand. It unfortunately also was the most expensive.

Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector with what slim case?

Hello
Im giong to buy a S10+ soon but I need to get the screen protector and case before hand...
The screen protector is obvious: Whitestone Dome Glass
The case not so much...I wanted the Spigen Thin Armor but it doesnt seem to be compatible with the Whitestone Dome Glass
I used in the past: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00OSS12Z2 and it was great and worked for me.
Suggestions?
Not much is compatible with the Dome glass.. went through 3 of them and 3 different cases, Otterbox, UAG, and Pelican and they all shattered the Dome Glass.
I have the dome glass and an Otterbox Symmetry case. They work great together.
As long as you dont take it off and on too many times. Speaking from s10+ experience.

Hey, I know I'm kinda late to your post, but if you are still searching for the right case with the Dome Glass, try using a Spigen case. I just LOVE their cases and are usually my go-to. I have used other brands, but I mostly find myself going back to Spigen. There are other hidden gem cases that I do use, but if I want something that I KNOW 100% that I'll love, it's Spigen for me. I normally hate those clear TPU like cases because they ALL turn yellowish, even if they say they don't. Spigen's clear cases also do, so do NOT go for those. If you want a slim case that offers decent to really good protection, then check out the few I'll post below.
My Current case: I have had the White and the Black one. White has a bit of that color shifting the White S10/+/e does. It's a smooth glossy plastic. The white one will also lose it's "brightness". It's hard to tell though. I was only able to tell that it doesn't seem as "white" when I put it up against a second one I ordered. If it weren't for that new second one, I honestly wouldn't be able to tell. I also have the black one and it is a matte black/soft-touch feel. I would recommend either. As for the Teal/Greenish one, I heard people complain that the color wears/rubs off over time, revealing the while plastic beneath it. I can't tell you what the finish looks and feels like though, as I have not had this one. I recommend this case for anyone that wants a slim-minimalistic case and needs minimal to little protection. It WILL hold up to harsh drops, but then the case itself may break, which is still better than your phone breaking.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Class...finements=p_89:Spigen&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-14
Previous Case I Had for Note 5: I've had this one and loved it. It can break/crack very easily if dropped enough and/or hard enough. Only reason I stay away from these is because I prefer the buttons to be covered as well. I'm pretty picky when it comes to my cases XD. I recommend, but only if you want the slimmest possible with very minimal protection.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Thin-...ents=p_89:Spigen&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-21&th=1
My "Must Have" Case: This case, I ALWAYS get, no matter what device it is! This case is made for pretty much every phone out there! This case is slim while offering great protection. Can not recommend enough!
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Rugge...efinements=p_89:Spigen&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-5
Alternate Look Of My "Must Have" Case: This is like the one right above, just a different aesthetic.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Liqui...efinements=p_89:Spigen&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-6
As Big As I'll Go: This case, while I haven't had it for my S10+, I have had it for another device. I liked it, but didn't love it. I've always been a slim case lover, but If I needed a bit more protection, this is as big as I'll go.
https://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Tough...finements=p_89:Spigen&rnid=2528832011&sr=8-15
I normally get about 3-5 different cases for each device I end up with, so I am pretty confident in my choices and case recommendations. Hope this helps you out. And all but the last one, I am 100% sure fit with the Dome Glass screen protector, as I have had that exact screen protector with these cases. I'm like 90% sure the last one will fit with the Dome Glass, Spigen is usually good about their bulkiness on the edges that grip the phone.
Hi
I've used the following cases and all are compatible with the whitestonedome.
Prodigee Safetee Steel in white. Great compatability but yellowed after a couple weeks. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Prodigee-P...gee+s10+plus&qid=1586106536&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
Single Fusion X. Solid performer I've used this case previously with my S9+ also. Fully compatible with the whitestonedome. Only bugbear is with the molding near the headphone port is a little sharp and will dig into hands/finger over time. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ringke-Fus...1586106833&sprefix=ringke+f&sr=8-3&th=1&psc=1
Mous Clarity. Currently using this on phone. No complaints similar to the Prodigee in terms of comfort. Seems as sturdy as the Ringke. Search the interwebs for discount code as I found a 50% off code. https://uk.mous.co/products/clear-galaxy-s10-plus-case?variant=31347101007929

Question Pixel 6 Pro screen protector

Hi all,
I have a few questions around tempered glass screen protectors for curved screens like the Pixel 6 Pro, I was wondering if people had any answers to:
Are there any known brands that do good quality curved tempered glass screen protectors?
Has anyone seen any tempered glass screen protectors for the Pixel 6 Pro that follow the curved edge of the screen
How well do these fit on phones that have cases (I'm looking at spigen rugged armor and have noticed in the past that some screen protectors don't fit properly with the case)
Any input would be appreciated as I want to make sure my Pixel 6 Pro is properly protected from scratches and falls.
At the moment, do not buy a glass screen protector. Where is the screen of the Pixel 6 Pro curved? Until a high-quality curved protection is made

I'm using a Whitestone Dome Glass on my OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren and there is no hole, where the FPS is...
And there's also no problem with the finger print reader with the applied Dome Glass.
So I really do hope that there's going to be a Dome Glass also for the Pixel 6 Pro (in the past Whitestone always hat a Pixel Dome Glass available...)

I heard many horror stories from people that had to remove the remains of Dome Glass after a drop (shattered, couldn't be removed in one piece). Did that ever happend to you? I planned on using Dome Glass for a while now, but it's quite expensive and I am not really looking forward to damaging my original display whilst trying to remove the debry of the protecting glass...
Any reason why you couldn't put a 6 tempered glass on the 6 Pro? pretty much the same size. You wouldn't want it to go past the curved edges anyway.

You would have a pretty sizable area around the screen protector that doesn’t come up to the case edge. Leaving room for dust to accumulate. Also the selfie camera cut out wouldn’t line up right.
I ordered this one: https://www.spigen.com/products/pixel-6-pro-screen-protector-neo-flex
I know Spigen makes great cases but never tried their screen protector. It's not tempered glass but it was (only) 11 euros on Amazon. In the worst case, if reviews are bad, I'll send it back.
Edit: read some reviews about the same ones for other phones, they don't seem great. I canceled my order for now. We'll see what becomes available next week.
I just bought some LK film screen protectors off of Amazon. I've had good luck with them in the past and the install method they use works great. I might go Whitestone or similar later on after I see some reviews. I had used Whitestone before in the past but from what I've been reading it seems the quality of the glass isn't what it used to be. IDK anybody used a Whitestone lately?

Before I sold my Pixel 2 XL I removed the Dome Glass and that was absolutely no problem.
The Glass came off very easy and the glue sticks to the Dome Glass not the Smartphone Screen.
I also had to replace the Dome Glass on my OnePlus (my fault) and there I didn't have any problems either - the glue sticks to the Dome Glass, the Display remains absolutely clean...
Can't really imagine on how to "kill" the display when removing the Dome Glass...of course, if you're usin a kniw or a screw-driver or any other inapproriate tool...
I'm going with the Ringke Dual Easy Wing. The film curves around and covers the edges and it has stayed pristine for the 1 year I've had it on my Note 20 ultra.

Do you use cases on your phone? If so does it work well with them?

is this avail for the 6 Pro?
I ordered the ArmorSuit MilitaryShield Screen Protector and see how it does. I may order a protector for the camera lens but I see nothing I like right now.
I ordered the curved Imak 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector, it will arrive in mid-November.

Been rocking my Pixel 5 w/o a screen protector since purchase. Don't think I'll use one for my Pro.

I didn't see the Ringke on their website.
A few things to answer earlier posts:
Whitestone is REALLY easy to remove, even after it shatters. Worst case you can scrape it all up with a business card. The adhesive is more like rubber cement than a hard glue.
Tempered glass protectors with a hole in them are straight up garbage. Avoid them
The Pro has an Optical sensor, any issues that Samsung users had with tempered protectors don't apply here. Optical sensors work GREAT with LOCA based UV tempered glass protectors. My Oneplus 9 Pro has an Optical sensor and I have the whitestone (and used Aliexpress $3 loca based protectors), they all work fine. The main difference is the quality of glue used, the cheaper ones pull up like crazy after a few weeks.
I ordered a Spigen 2 pack but I am no expecting much, might go Whitedome this time. Curved displays are a ball ache.
I brought this and it arrived a week ago. The glass is curved: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09FL6GTHJ?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
I can take a picture of the glass if anyone wants. I however haven't tried it on the phone (since mine won't ship till early Nov), so I don't know how good it is. But the edges are curved.
I ordered 2x Magglass Tempered Glass Designed for Google Pixel 6 Pro Screen Protector (2021) UHD Full Coverage Display Guard (Case Compatible), so I'll give a review when I get the phone and put it on. It was either the sole tempered glass one I could find or one of only a couple. I've never used this brand although I've heard of them and seen them.
By the way, on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ 512 GB (which I love the hardware but hate the software, having come from the Pixel 1), I bought the Note 10+ phones for my wife and I a year and a half ago, and it took a while to receive a screen protector. I dropped that phone at least 10 times before I also received an Otterbox Defender, since a lot of stuff was getting delayed. That phone is just so slippery without a case (I know, this is a screen protector thread).
I'm so glad the screen wasn't damaged before I got the protector on it. The phone came with something basic already on the screen that wasn't really a protector, but it might've helped keep it from damage until I got the rest of my accessories.
