Any particular non official rom? Your a little vague.
He's on about RR CM etc, when you scroll, the two capacitive buttons turn on at the bottom and light up.
have no problems with this
actually, think it is better this way
turn it off if you dont like it...dont know if you have the option in all ROM but I can with RR

I mean to touch the screen when the two capacitive buttons to keep the lights turned off, when the touch of the two capacitive keys to light up, only hydrogen or Oxygen.
RR or cm can only be turned on or off. it cant distinguish between the screen and the capacitive key.

Similar to the Freedomos using the Oxygen, include the feature from official ROM. RR and cm is the real non official.

The backlight buttons shouldn't turn on when touching the screen. I want the light off until i press the button like the Oxygen. RR or cm can't do that.
通过 ONEPLUS A3000 发言
Ok, to answer your question then, if the rom chefs don't include the option to disable it I can only assume the answer is, no nobody cares.

You should then request this feature in thread of the ROM you have on mind. Discussion on this thread won't help you at all ...

Is there a way to turn off back light and LED notification lights? I've tried an app called Led Flow -LED Control but it didn't work on the One V. Is there any way to turn off the back light buttons as well as the top LED light? To save battery? thanks!
You can use my file keyoff.zip to turn off the backlight completely. The LED notification, no mod as there is no request from my ROM user; not sure it can be done or not.

Opps...sorry... didn't realize that.
It won't work for a CM based ROM I guess and I can't help with that as I work with Sense files only.

Oh okay. thank you for your help though
I'm going to send you a PM.
Or does anyone know how to turn off this annoying misfeature?
Optimized Backlight is the name sony gave to the screen content dependent backlight setting. If your screen has a big proportion of white or other bright colors, the backlight will be brighter as well, if the content is mostly dark, then the backlight will get darker.
This is independent from the adaptive backlight setting and can not be turned off.
I did try CM11 to get rid of it, but CM11 also has this feature.
Try - hard boot using vol up + power button. Z1 owners reported it works.

Nope.
But, I searched a bit, and this feature is called Content Adaptive BackLight or CABL.
So, for the custom ROM builders out there, what about the build.prop setting ro.qualcomm.cabl ? In the sony ROM it is set to 1. Perhaps setting it to 0 would work?
I don't have a solution, but I agree that this is an annoying anti-feature that adds nothing to the user experience or image quality, just gets irritating fast.
Small consolation: it doesn't seem as aggressive on KitKat ...

I dug a bit further and it seems that at least in some versions or on some devices with cm there actually is an advanced display settings dialog, where cabc, as they call it, can be disabled, but it wasn't there on my cm11.

Any solution to this yet? I'm guessing root is the only way? I find it annoying, but at least it's not as bad as the Z1.

Does anyone has a issue that volume can not be turn down below 14% in Ring or Do not disturb mode on Freedom OS 2.4?

First of all, this is not specific to FreedomOS but it's how OxygenOS Nougat works.
Secondly, it's not a bug but a feature. A really annoying one that everyone hates, but it was made by OnePlus intentionally. Need to use the slider ...

Yes, you are right. The original OOS has the same 'issue'. Thx for your answer.
Hey guys
Running latest PixelOS alioth 12.1 on my poco f3
Sometimes - i dont know why or how my screen will turn off (as per usual) and then it wont turn back on
The finger print sensor implies its still on because of the haptick feedback and the phone is still functioning, except the screen doesnt turn on
Holding the power button resets the phone and then its fine - but i dont know why its doing this
Anyone experience the same or have any info?
Thank you
I'd say seems like an issue with that Custom ROM. You could try asking that question to the specific ROM thread...
Same ROM here and same problem. Also PixelOS is no longer maintained so I'm trying to decide which ROM to switch too.

I'd think Pixel Experience Plus is similar. Altho haven't used either. I use ArrowOS, but that's not a Pixel ROM
I want to take this phone, is it worth it? The reviews on it are both positive and negative. I can't make up my mind.

Now I switched back to Xiaomi.eu Custom ROM because I was missing MIUI Cam & Dolby, but I had a similar issue.
Sometimes while I was on ArrowOS, when I try to turn on the screen it would take 2-3 seconds.. It was a tiny bit annoying
My Poco f3 is my daily driver and I can't test lots of rooms rn and I was wondering if you guys tested different roms and would be so kind as to recommend a rom. My most important feature is to be able to unlock just by fingerprint touch or press (as in without the need to double tap/wake up the screen first). Also a totally black (not gray) dark mode is important
Thank you in advance

Yeah features and customization without diminishing stability or battery life
I use Evolution X but it's Android 13.
It has a Black Mode and lots of customization. It's a Pixel ROM so it also has Pixel-exclusive system apps and features. I can recommend it It also receives frequent updates and has a big community on Telegram.
The question is, do you want a simple AOSP ROM or a Pixel ROM with more features and customization.

Yeah more features and customization as long as its stable and has a good battery life. I kind of disregarded A13 bc I assumed it won't be perfected yet but I'll check it out now. Can you unlock from a black screen just by taping the fingerprint scanner?

Yes, this is the default behaviour when having set-up a Fingerprint.
Doesn't every ROM do this by default? I think even MIUI. You can also configure to only scan for Fingerprint when Screen on, on Evolution-X too.

Probably yeah. its just that the last few roms I tested on my last device you had to turn screen on first. possibly bc they were early releases and scanner was under display but I gave up on stock android ever since mainly bc of that so I'm sure
