Zenfone 2 Docking with USB ports and HDMI output - ZenFone 2 Accessories

Dear,
I just bought the Zenfone 2 and I was wondering if there was a docking station with some usb ports that can charge mine phone in the same time. And a hdmi output, so mine phone directly will connect to the screen.
Thanks in advance.

No. What you're looking for is MHL compatible smartphone. Unfortunately Zenfone 2 is not the one.

Oh, thanks. Is that something with software or hardware

If you have a PC near you, the are several solutions to control your phone from PC, ie use it as a PC, like http://vysor.io, AirDroid AsusZenUI PCsuite and so on.
But if you dont have a PC, just TV/monitor with HDMI and keabord, mouse then chromecast might do the thing you want.

Hdmi Dock

Is there a dock that charges and does hdmi out? Thinking this would be cool to play emulators or GTA on my big screen, paired with a wiimote or ps3 controller
To connect to the a TV you will need an MHL to HDMI adapter like this. I'm not sure if it charges at the same time, but it should, being that it connects via the USB port on the phone. If you search around the web, you'll definitely find much affordable deals. Cheers!

at least, if not charge, it maintains the charge level.
from your link:
The HDTV Smart Adapter supports HD signals up to 1080p. Connects directly to a standard HDMI cable for easy connectivity to home theater or monitor. Requires power from a wall charger. Can connect directly to your MHL-Enabled mobile phone to create an HDMI docking station. Requires wall charger (sold separately) to power the adapter while in use. (HDMI cable not included)”

You cannot connect more than one USB cable to your phone, so unfortunately that is not possible. Which controller exactly do you need to connect to your phone?
If by any chance you are planning to use a PS3 controller, pairing it with your phone through Bluetooth and using the Six Axis Controller app is the best way to go.
Edit: In that way, you will still be able to connect the phone to your TV via the MHL cable
if you hsve a frys electronics in your town, they have this item for $24. WORKS WELL.

external USB wireless interface

I'm asking how do I get a wireless usb interface working on a rooted note2.
As well if I can get it working in a monitor mode.
Help and advices greatly appreciated.
Get the smart dock for note 2
I use it to connect to my hdmi tv with wireless mouse. .
Also play using the blue tooth ps2 adapters with sixaxis controller
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)
Wireless usb interface?
Get an otg cable to connect a flash drive/keyboard etc
Micro usb to hdmi adapter for video out.
2 cheaper solutions to the smart dock mentioned in the post above, but the dock is far more elegant.

Actually I've tried to dmesg , lsusb and ifconfig to notice any changes when plugged the TPLink tl-wn422g but nothing seems to be showing that the interface is detected.
No sure if a driver is required, and if it is , so how to install the driver in a rooted android ? same as Linux , ndiswrapper or to find the driver , compile and install it to the Kernel, at the time I'm using Redpill kernel.

Can I use MHL to display video output on my computer?

I have an acer aspire 7560, it does have an hdmi port, but I don't want to have to buy an adapter for something that I don't know would even work for video input. I want to know: is there some way that I can use a normal, oem supplied, usb cable for this and simply connect it to the computer, figure out some stuff on the ubuntu end, and just use my laptop as an external display?

Short answer: no
Explanation: your HDMI port is solely for outbound connections only, to a TV or monitor. There are very few laptops that have the ability to receive an HDMI input.
As for doing it with USB there are third party apps like BBQDroid and MirrorOp that will let you, but its nearly impractical for the Nexus. Trust me, I've been trying for over a year to get even the right ROM/kernel combo to maintain a reasonable lagfree experience using them and its hopeless. We don't have the power. Sure, you can do it. But don't expect to do anything without huge performance drops.
I have a new tv that supports hdmi, but it also has usb 2.0 in, and I do not have a hdmi mhl adapter. Would a normal oem cable work for that?

Nope. USB port on your TV is for connecting media devices with music/videos/pictures and does not support the feature your looking for.
I have had success using the Mirror for CM11 application by koush with Airserver on my PC. Info to get it here. You must join the community and beta before it shows up in Play Store.
It works over WiFi network so long as your PC has AirServer, which is an Apple app supposed to be for idevices but the app picks it up anyway. The free version of Airserver is only 7 day trial. It will slow your phone down somewhat, but not anywhere near as bad as other apps. I've used it some, and it works well. But it has limited use with only a trial for Airserver. Such a bummer there, but give it a shot for the 7 days and support it and koush if you it
Good luck

Dex Station to Usb C Monitor....

Hi. I'm on how to connect my Dex Station (with Note 8) to my new Asus Usb C Monitor.
I tried a Piaek adapter. No go. Seems like anything made to go usb to HDMI doesn't work the other way.
There are a couple of HDMI to usb 3 converters, like inogeni but theyt are really expensive
Anyone know anything about this?

Go to developer settings and change display dpi to higher number, but it may bootloop your phone

Please share the link of display link adapter. I have heard there are some usb 2.0 to hdmi adapters also in the market, do they work or just fake products?
