help roms list that can be installed in S-on? - One (M8) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

which fit my m8 t-mobile s-on?

You don't need a list. S-off is not needed to flash any ROM.
Any ROM for the "GSM" version M8 will work on the T-Mob version. That means most M8 ROMs, but excludes ROMs specifically intended for the "CDMA" variants (Sprint, Verizon), M8s, dual SIM, M8 Eye (most of which are really different hardware, so usually not confused with the "standard" M8).
But if you are unsure, just stick to the T-Mob Development section. Or read through the thread for the desired ROM, to confirm if other T-Mob users were able to use the ROM.

will work for 801s and 801n version??
thanks.
check this website:
it might help you: http://htconeroot.com/category/htc-one-custom-roms/
You'll probably have to change your CID since you're unlocked and S-OFF but it seems possible as long as it's another GSM ROM.
But you're better off asking in the general HTC One forum, not in the Verizon HTC One forum, as ours is a special variant.

OK thanks.
Adding to the mix a bit... once you unlock get S-off and ger supercid... the verizon branded phone could get a radio flashed of other carrier with the available frequency and a rom with its respective sim card to go to other carrier like say cricket? but it kind of seem to easy to me and im kind of confused in that matter.

[Q] So Will These ROMS In This Section Work With The T-Mobile Version?

Will the custom ROMs in here work with the T-Mobile variant of the M8 that comes out tomorrow? Because the T-Mobile M8 thread seems pretty dead, granted the phone is released tomorrow...
S-Off your device and sure.

Why doesn't HTC provide RUU's anymore?

I guess by now it's clear that HTC is not releasing the RUU for the Sense based versions of the HTC One M8. This is obviously a change in company policy and one that I think is for the worse. Has there been any info released or does anyone know why HTC has stopped providing the RUU's for their unlocked and developer edition devices?
Why do people still post questions in the general section ?
I thought they never release then for sense roms, and in the past they have been leaks, but they do release them for dev editions

I have seen another say this, and I don't know why. Its not correct.
I'm only familiar with AT&T variants of the HTC phones, for the most part. But to my knowledge they always officially release the RUU for AT&T versions; as I've seen many RUUs officially released. There is an M8 RUU for AT&T.
I'm guessing this is carrier driven.
Yes it is, wwe versions they don't release
Well what does the RUU for at&t do? Would it make it easier to transition to flash an international ROM but them flash the appropriate radio for T-Mobile m8. S-off of course?

Sprint HTC One M8 --> GPE M8 Conversion?

Here's a weird question! I have seen a lot of inquiry as to whether or not one can successfully pull off a Sprint M8 to GPE conversion. I believe the biggest snag is fighting with GSM vs CDMA.
Now, I recently saw a ROM that appears to do this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...rom-google-play-edition-port-cdma-m8-t3302616 -- This states it is specifically designed for the Verizon HTC One M8, but it appeared to work just fine in a test on my Sprint M8.
Now, how complete of a conversion is this? Will a GPE kernel work with this ROM in theory? How about firmware and the sort, is it required to flash in order to complete the conversion? Quite unfortunately, the conversion process is currently beyond my understanding of this particular device. Any assistance would be most appreciated-- thank you!

Verizon M8 ROMs

Will the ROMs listed in the standard M8 category work on carrier specific M8s? I have a Verizon M8 so can I only flash the ROMs listed under the "Verizon M8" category? Thanks!
It depends, usually the original post in the thread will explicitly state if the rom supports CDMA or not. (I'm using viper rom on my VZW htc one m8 for example).
If the op doesn't state if the rom supports CDMA though, I'd save yourself the headache and stick to the verizon section
