Hi,
My HTC M8s will not boot up any more and just looking to see if its possible to get it back to life again. I was trying to get TWRP installled on it so had unlocked the bootloader but could never get TWRP to run. So I tried to relock the bootloader and then RUU to get it back to stock or normal original state. That seemed to go fine as it says relocked but then my phone just powered rebooted itself after 2 days and gives a decrypt storage error.
If I enter any password it says it is correct but the data is corrupt so I must reset my phone back to factory settings, which would be fine but it just boots back to the same thing again.
Just looking to see what i need to get to go back to original settings, do I need a RUU and a stock recovery ? ? ? If so which ones ? ? Fastboot devices seems to be working and I have the unlock_code from htcdev.

Hello everyone,
Before I start here are some basic info
The phone is rooted and S-off.
CID: HTC__J15, later I have converted it to
Today I have tried to convert my HTC M8-Dual Sim to a Google Play edition through this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589
However, after finishing the flashing process my phone was stuck in the bootloader screen, there recovery disappeared but I can flash it again.
I tried both the rooted and the un-rooted zips and they both gave me the same result.
After that I tried flashing back to the Sense firmware and stock rom, after finishing flashing it still was stuck in the bootloader.
If i tried to make a factory reset in TWRP it gives me (E: Resource type (font) failed to load)
Can you please help me, I need to fix it asap as I have a trip by next week.
Thank in advance

Did you get the unlock code from the HTCDev website yet? You will need it to unlock your bootloader. Then you will have to unlock it using fastboot and ADB, or maybe terminal emulator but I'm unsure about doing it that way. You won't be able to do it from your SD card.
Are you just trying to unlock your bootloader, or are you trying to gain root?
yes of course i have unlock file am trying to Wipe the Phone hard reset not doing any thing wipe from recovery all nothing phone remains the same after all of that even when i try to enter Ruu flash mode phone just restart and opens up

RUU mode is wrong as well.
Go to this site and read the instructions. It will explain everything you need to do. It also has a video you can watch to see the whole process before you proceed.
This is the method and site I used to unlock/root my M8. I always use @zedomax's tutorials to root my stuff. He does a great job of going through the steps.
I have the same issue
No wipe possible
no way to unlock bootloader
hard reset not working
The phone have the same notification (if you erase all notifications, when the phone restarts, they come back)
Hi there.
I had some problems with M8 after Marshmallow update.
Sometimes it freezes on locked screen(phone working) - I have to restart it.
Phone stucks in a HTC logo, so I restarted it again and again.
And some time it starts a system.
Yesterday I had a problem to open any app - app open and closes immediately.
Some apps I had opened earlier works ok.
So I restarted my phone and it stucks on a boot loop.
Rom, recovery are totally official European software.
I haven't root.
I can access to HBOOT, FASTBOOT and RECOVERY.
Fast boot factory reset doesn't work.
Recovery wipe cache/data doesn't work

I doubt you'll find it on the official HTC site.
But you can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926626&postcount=6
RUU is probably your best bet, on a fully stock device.
Hello there XDA forum mates, I need your help in getting my phone back to stock ROM
I spent 3 days trying to figure out how to get it back before approaching XDA desperately.
So far, I tried flashing the following files
0P9CIMG_A5_UL_K44_DESIRE_SENSE60_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.54.707.2_Radio_1.101.1102.17.0506_10.20.4149.00L_release_391925_combined_signed

A5_UL_K44_DESIRE_SENSE60_ASIA_WWE_1.22.707.1_ASIA_a5ul_cwm_backup_rooted_2014-07-14
0P9CIMG_A5_UL_L50_DESIRE_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.34.707.2_Radio_1.101.111011.20.0123_10.28.4149A.00L_release_447806_signed
But all of it either failed or had no effect.
For instance, some of the zips above cannot be successfully flashed due to reasons such as
"Devices Halted due to Large Image update fail" while using hboot
"0P9XXXX cannot be loaded" while using fastboot
For 0P9CIMG_A5_UL_L50_DESIRE_SENSE60_MR_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.34.707.1_Radio_1.101.111011.20.0123_10.28.4149A.00L_release_426982_signed_Hboot, it actually succeeded but then I'm not sure why, when i reboot the phone, the HTC boot logo appear for a while and then disappear. After that, nothing else happens, the screen just stays black.
Here is my fastboot getvar all output

I need someone to help me with this, thank you so much. I appreciate it.
Hi team,
I have been searching for hours on this topic.
As usual, being the geek from the neighbourhood, I was asked if I could fix a HTC Desire 820 n that did not boot anymore.
Needless to say that I have NO CLUE of the things previously done on the phone. Strange thing is that the fastboot screen status was saying "software status: modified", but the phone was locked.
So.... I have access to fastboot and the phone gets recognized under Linux and W10 by fastboot.
I unlocked it using the HTCDEV.com website.
Tried to flash several RUU files either by using the "fastboot oem rebootRUU" command and putting directly the zips on the SD card.
Everything failed.
Last, but not least, I did try to flash a TWRP and a stock recovery found on XDA, with a successfull message via fastboot, but all it finally managed to do, was to erase the recovery partition completely.... I have no clue how it did that, but now, the "IMAGE CRC" option shows 0x0 for recovery.
Now, the "fastboot oem rebootRUU" command just reboots to the white HTC logo, not the black one anymore (I managed to get it twice at the beginning, but not anymore after the recovery flashing attemps).
I am not new to flashing roms, I used to own a GS3 LTE, a Nexus 5 and a OPO (bacon). Now am using an OP3. But... I am new to HTC and this phone drives me crazy.
Given the fact that it does not charge well, I would go for a hardware problem... but wanted to check here first.

Things attempted so far

2. Flash recovery using fastboot SD Card and Fastboot - all failed

Thanks, when you run the "IMAGE CRC" option from the hboot menu, what's the output for recovery, 0x0?
