If you go to Settings, then General, you can set the Access mode to Root Access mode or Prompt User mode... both of those will allow you to browse the root directory.

I think that, as a basic file manager, it does a really nice job and looks good. I personally prefer Solid Explorer, especially the dual panes and drag/drop ability, but to each his own.
I'm trying to install Lumia Selfie.xap file through file explorer in the phone, have also enabled developer mode.
But it throws up this message:

is there a way to remove the app, and keep it off the phone, it seems the store keeps wanting to install/update the app and keeps failing error 0x80070057
but haven't found a way to prevent it from installing yet. either..

In general, having working DOSBox on your WP (and have ability to run Windows 3.11, 95 or 98 on your handset) is still a very good hack, same as a WPTweaker app
I can provide a free code for XDA members who meet some requirements:
your xda account must be at least 2 years old mature;
you should post store link to the app with your good comments on your FB or other social network;
you must rate app "5 stars" at the store;
Just mark: messages from brand new accounts will be ignored.

Looks awesome! Would be great if this was a UWP app with Continuum support, running Windows 95 on external monitor would be absolutely fantastic, are there any plans on that?

As for big screen projection, you don't need Continuum at all - just change external monitor mode to the "screen mirroring" mode (can't remember, how it called exactly - I sold my Miracast adapter because of complete uselessness) in the Continuum settings.

It crashes on device lumia 430. Help me
crashes because you not purchase app... this not warez, is direct download from Store, if you not have licence to use it, app crash
So at what percent of W10M users will you be willing to support continuum mode? It really helps with travel setups where you are using a hotel TV and just the phone. It would be great to have the phone be a large keyboard with touchpad area due to all the display on the TV.
Can anyone share '/system/etc/fonts.xml'? It would be greatly appreciated!

Nah, I needed it to port Google Sans for the Pixel Launcher 'At A Glance' widget. And now it's working!

Extracting system files doesn't require root as long as the permissions are rw-r-r (0644). To extract it, you can use any file manager that lets you browse the root folder. From there you can copy the files to the internal storage.

These files are world-readable. (0xx4) -- I've never rooted my Google phones and tablets.

On that note, can I request the SystemUIGoogle in /system/priv-app too? It seems that the quick settings icons' edges are rounded compared to AOSP's sharp edges.
The directory is too large to upload, even after breaking the zip file into 4 pieces. Do you have an account (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc.) I can send them to? Or a system I could ftp the zip file?

Just simply copy and paste it in system--->priv-app--->camera2 and replace it....and then run the app...it may force close at first launch but after that it works

how to install this apk? android 7 is not installed. I copied it to the folder in system ---> priv-app --->. But there is an apk.camera application. apk.camera 2 is not there. And the replacement is impossible. It's just copied and all.

I replace my APK file using your "camera2.apk" with a root explorer. Im runing on Android 7.0 on a HTC one M9, after replacing the file I deleted the old camera.apk file, and rename it as "camera.apk".
I launched the camera app, and the old remains runing , I stopped the camera process at settings, and then reLounched camera app and I get an error. I reboot my device, after reboot camer app was gone :crying:
Any sugestion, that wont be Reinstall the OS :cyclops:

Did you try to install the file manually?
Yes, both files, your app an the Stock app with the file manager, prompts the common "install window" and after trying to install error message appears "this app could not be installed" I was wondering if I can install it from TWRP with a zip file...
I'm using HTC M9 Viper Rom, I can't find the Camera2 anywhere; may be I might have unchecked it when I was installing Viper Rom.
