Hello all,
After updating android 6, I think the camera quality is not so good as 5.1 version. Can anyone tell me why ?
It's fine with mine.
It can't focus correctly, always blurred from front camera. With the old version of android ( 5.1) it was perfect but now , I am using 6.0, and it always takes pictures blurred... please someone who can help me ?

Hello,
Deep in my mind I still remember how my Xperia S was amazing with taking pictures on stock rom.
Than i got kk, and now 5.1 nAOSP from mickybart.
So i wonder is there any port of camera that brings back the vivid and sharp photos?
The nAOSP camera is "ok" but it lacks options, no hdr etc. and it have sooo much problems with focus.
So i thought that someone may know how to improve it.
I srearched over crossdevices xperia thread but not much I foung for android 5.0+ there ;/.
Any help ??
My Xperia is still in the drawer [emoji15] . Well I used Lenovo'S Super Camera (can't remember full name) but it is ported on XDA.

This port is for Android 4.x and above. I think I stopped using it due to the startup time [emoji20]
Try the Google Camera from the play store if you'd like the android stock look [emoji1]
For android 5.x I'd recommend the HTC port. I haven't tested it on the xps but works great on s5 and works on all Android 5 builds as it doesn't use the new camera2 api

I've extracted it from my device - install camera first and then if it fails then install service pack then camera then gallery. The files only work for ANDROID 5.
My personal experience is with the Lenovo Camera and it is far better than AOSP stock. I've never tried HTC on the XPS but it is hundred times better than the Stock Camera on my S5 due to the manual exposure settings and quick snaps. Some modes like panorama and bokeh don't work they require the HTC Camera chip (omnivision device)
Is there a way to have the stock camera on nAOSP ? It would be perfect !!!
ok this is my first post here, so tell me if i posted somwhere wrong..
but my question is is there any Oreo rom, doesn't matter if it's 8.0 or 8.1.
that has a working camera, and that it can record..
You can record on all Oreo roms, but you need like footej camera or open camera apps. The stock will work when LOS devs fix it.
quality of images can vary depending on the app and the used setting!
open camera works nice, there is aswell a htc camera port here - that works:

Crdroid has fixed camera so now everything works perfectly.
Got D855TR; I've tried almost all of the 8.1 and 8.0 roms available here, unfortunately none of them gets my back camera or flash working (front camera works)... It is not hardware related because if I go back to stock MM 6.0 , they both work flawlessly... I am hoping devs will resolve these soon but seems like many people are having camera issues.. If anyone got any suggestions or ideas, I'd really appreciate it
A month ago , I can't remember If it was after an ipdate or not , I got that rear camera no focus issue , all the images are extremely blurry , details at all even after I try to manually focus , I tried another third party app , the same issue , although front camera is fine , I was wondering if that could be a software problem because of the update but I'm no expert so please tell me what could it be , I'll upload some photos as a sample..

I got the same issue and finally it was hardware's fault and I had to send the phone to the Xiaomi service.
They replaced the camera module and since then it's working like a charm.
Anybody out there is running a working GCAM?
I was able to find 1-2 working apps (mgc_3.2.0.45_final_3.xx ...https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/dev-bsg/),
but either the front Cam was broken, or something else..
GC_Android-6.0H_arm-arm64_Cam2API_v2 works, but again, difficulties with fron camera.
Would be awsome, if someone could provide a working solution. Thank!
Edit:
Found a working one:
GC_4.1.006.126161292-41003513
But very noisy..
ive tried every single 32bit camera version i could find and the results arent that good, the best version wit everything working is 2.5.052 the pics it takes are marginally better in some conditions or not at all but it has best background blur and both front and back cameras are working

Thanks. I already knew the 2.5 version, but it seems the results are not that good as hoped. I think open camera is a better solution?
Or may anyone share a better one?
