SOLVED: I've forgot to give right permission.
Tried but i have only a sparkling android text. No spark logo or animation.

Got the PowerOn file, it's awesome! However i can't enable the custom boot animations cuz there's now cwm recovery available for the beam yet...any suggestions?

bootanimation works but still no sound (poweron.ogg)
I'm on latest slimbean 4.2.2 + latest yank.555 kernel.
any ideas folks..?

Maybe boot sound disabled by your ROM or kernel , ask the dev if this is true.

If you have a nandroid backup restore it... some app , mod or tweak you installed after this must have caused the problem. If it worked once... then there can't be a problem with the boot animation.

........... just wondering, is it possible to you to have the boot+sound in a cwm flasning file???
(im just to oooooo ooo n00b to give/fix permissions) and i had a semibrick yesterday (still, i fixed it!!!!! it took me 3 hours )

just download the bootanimation.zip provided on the android police article, extract the files and modify "desc.txt" (see attachment below), then compress the folders and the desc.txt file in a zip file using winrar. WARNING: MAKE SURE YOUR COMPRESSION METHOD IS STORE! OTHERWISE, THE BOOT ANIMATION WON'T WORK!

1. Download a root explorer app.
2. Enable root directory (in ES File Explorer - menu - settings - check "Up to Root", scroll down a bit to "Root Explorer". Accept any superuser requests.
3. Go back to your explorer and navigate to where you downloaded the "bootanimation.zip" file. Copy (or cut) it.
4. Navigate into your root directory, system/media/
5. Paste your "bootanimation.zip" file into /system/media/ (Ensure that the bootanimation zip is named "bootanimation.zip"
6. Over write the previous file, set permissions to -rw-r--r--
7. Reboot once done.
8. Enjoy!
Note - Ensure that the bootanimation is named 'bootanimation.zip' or else the file will not work.

Installation steps:
1-Take a backup of stock boot animation,for this go to /system/media in rooted directory.Rename the bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak (recommended).:good:
2-Put the new boot animation file in the same folder and rename it to bootanimation.zip
3-Change the permission of the file to rw-r-r
Done.:good:
reboot the phone
Enjoy
Tested by me on all CM12.1, CM13, AOSP LP and AOSP MM so no problem.[emoji23]

I tried the original Bootanimation Moto E by the method of putting it in /system/media and all OK.

steps to install:
1. download and extract file and paste all qmg files in
SYSTEM/MEDIA
And set permissions to r-w-r-r
2. go bck to file then to audio folder and copy both .ogg sound files......
and paste it to SYSTEM/MEDIA/AUDIO/UI
set permissions to r-w-r-r

After you flashed it then automatically it will be default .
If you want to restore previous boot animation then you need to replace all the files of the flash zip with stock one.
