i want to connect my watch to pc because i dont have android phone
Boot your PC with android-x86 (from a USB drive)
You could pair it with a pc but all it would do would be connect and disconnect. No data will transfer between the two and none of the useful features of the watch will work.

How To Get Windows 8.1 To Recognise USB Mass Storage On Your Phone
I have had the problem for ages that when I connected my Samsung Galaxy GT-S5360 into my Windows 8.1 PC nothing happened - Windows 8.1 simply refused to recognise the device - not even anything in device manager - nothing - nada
However it would recognise the phone if I set the phone to download mode - but I want to use my phone as mass storage
Well after months of trying I finally found a really stupid solution
Solution
Install the usb drivers for your phone as normal
connect the phone to pc via usb cable (nothing happens other then a few beeps as normal)
now plug in any usb dongle that you have already installed on your pc - like a usb wireless mouse dongle
suddenly windows detects the phone and you can now set your phone to mass storage from the phone status bar
Every time you want to connect your phone in mass storage just plug it in then plug in the other usb dongle after

it maybe the brand of laptop too and the chipset of the laptop - there have been lots of problems with usb devices with windows 8.1 and inbuilt bluetooth too although manufacturers quickly released new bluetooth drivers as the windows 8 ones didnt work in windows 8.1
so this is just for those who have problems with their particular laptop
Similar Issue with Samsung Galaxy S
I had a similar problem when I needed to copy some files onto a Galaxy S. In the past, I had to ensure that USB Debugging was off, connect the USB cable and then select Mass Storage on the smartphone. Win 8.1 Explorer did not see the device although it showed up as SAMSUNG_Android in Eject Media and Device Manager had the phone listed under Universal Serial Device. I was able to access the phone on one laptop by selecting Samsung Kies as the connection method (showed up in Explorer under the device type rather than a drive letter) but this did not work on another laptop.
The steps described in "How to connect Android devices to PC with USB Mass Storage Mode" on device-recovery.com worked for me on both Win 8.1 laptops: enable USB Debugging, connect the phone, pull down the status bar, tap on the USB Connected entry and then Mass Storage.

What you said will not work for this phone because when you plug it into a windows 8.1 laptop the option to select connect to mass storage in status bar is not there - It just shows the phone as charging
The only way iv found on a windows 8.1 laptop with this issue (note it depends on your hardware to weather you have this problem) is to plug the phone into the laptop then plug any other dongle in - the option to then connect to mass storage suddenly appears in the status bar and you can connect as normal
My pc has always found my tablet when plugged in via usb cable.but now a message pops up on my pc saying Windows did not recognize the last device connected via usb,try connecting again if this does not work your device may be faulty.anyone know why my tablet is not found by windows, its windows 10.Thank You,Robert
No pc seem to detect my p2 when connected. i even tried in linux but nothing. the wierd thing is that if is connect a usb drive to the phone with otg it works fine.
Unable to connect my device to pc
My Lenovo z2 plus has latest jaguar Oreo rom (Jan 2019) build, I'm unable to connect to PC
I don't see my device on device manager and pc doesn't connect my device
My charges normally when connected to charger and pc, despite I changed in settings to mtp connection, my PC identifies and opens other phones as mtp, my laptop has proper Lenovo drivers only despite then I'm unable to access my phone via pc, no matter what I try I don't see my device on laptop, my cable is good and working properly, and my laptop runs win10 64 bit, I tried opening in other computers even that didn't help.
Hi , my Poco F3 arrived today and i was very hyped to use it but i've come into a problem.
Neither my win10 laptop or my F3 can identify each other when i connect them via USB, i can't even find it on the device manager, on my sister's laptop it connects and identifies weirdly enough but that's an older laptop is really slow and unreliable for anything specially since its not mine.
My laptop is a new one 2020 model and it connects well to any other device ...
I've tried replugging 100 times and i've made sure USB debbuging was toggled on my poco, also made sure the usb config was on file transfer, i've tried installing various ADB drivers too but it didn't help.
Can anyone please help me out with this , the poco f3 is my first android device and i really wanted to put other roms and use the ADB fastboot tools to debloat it but without connecting it with my laptop its gonna be very hard ...
Use official USB cable. Don't use a USB hub. Connect directly to the laptop. Change a USB port.
Plug your phone USB cable to laptop, switch file transfer mode on phone drop down menu, then reboot your laptop without disconnecting your phone from laptop.
Right click on the windows button on the task bar. Click on device manager. Does any device appear on their when the F3 is plugged in. Also as said above directly connect to a PC usb port rather than through a hub (maybe use a Usb c to usb c cable if your laptop only has usb c ports)
