Can someone please explain how audio is mixed on MTCB devices?
Is it possible to mix audio from non-GPS apps in the same manner as GPS? For example, I'd like my radio to be quiet when audio from Scanner Radio is being broadcast. Any thoughts?

I have not tried this myself but you can try and set your GPS app as the app you would like to audio interrupt. Not sure how well that works for non gps apps though.

Hi, I really need some help to solve theese:
After connecting Jabra bt620s (bluetooth stereo headset) to Artemis there are only two profiles under this device: Handsfree and Wireless stereo (i guess the last means A2DP). I can place and receive calls and listen to music in stereo, even turn volume up and down.
1. But other buttons on headset don't work No play/pause, prev/next and rewinding. So what do I need to make them work? Are there any bt stack patches for Artemis like for Prophet, or maybe some special software? AFAIK there has to be special bt profile support to make the trick.
2. How to redirect all sounds to bt headset in stereo? I REALLY want to listen to fm-radio through Jabra 620. But even when bt headset is connected to Artemis radio goes to either connected wired headset or built in speaker Is there any solution?
Thanks in advance!

Re:
1. In order for the controls to work, the device should support the AVRCP bluetooth profile. Not sure though whether the Artemis supports that profile, and in any case this would not mean there would not be other issues.
2. Do you mean that the no sound is received by the Jabra, or that it is being received in mono? If the latter there is a registry change to a 'JointStereo' setting that should do the trick.

1. I guess that AVRCP bt profile is NOT supported on Artemis by default. The question is what can be done to somehow add this profile to Artemis. Applying some patches or something...
2. I mean that no sound is received by the Jabra. Sound goes to either wired headset or built in speaker.
AVRCP IS supported by the Artemis.
You need to make sure the player that you use supports as well. I have tried WMP and PocketMusic, and they both support it. Works great with my Jabra320s.
All my sounds are transfered automatically to my BT headset.. system sounds and my GPS program (MapKing) sounds.
Radio CAN NOT be run unless you have a wired headset inserted, as it acts as an antennae. Even so, I doubt sound will come to your BT headset. It just acts that way.
CHeers.

Indeed it is. It was Mort player's problem. Last release version doesn't support control buttons, but final available beta does!

Is is not ALL sounds, because radio sounds are not going in!

Sure thing I do plug the wired headset in. But sound goes to either built in speaker, or wired headset.

I REALLY hope that there IS the way at least to redirect radio output to bt headset instead of built in speaker. Maybe registry tweak or some special software.
So research on this topic continues!

Mask...I'm using same Jabra 320s as you. I am having a problem however. the music is skipping kind of like a scratched cd. Also the music intermintently speeds up and slows downs. Do you have this problem? Any ideas how to solve this?

Well, I gave it a try, but didn't download Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 yet. On fist try it doesn't do the trick Maybe because of lack of that MS thing. I'll get and try it later.
Thanks for helping anyways!

Whoa.. the speeding up and slowing down is little.. but noticeable. I didn't know anyone else would notice it.. hehe
Yes.. I do have that.. it happens especially after the pause.
I set my BitPool value to "45".. which has very little noise, but hardly skips. The thing is, I feel that if I make sudden moves or go further than 2 metres without a straight line of sight, the music will get cut off
Higher bitPool value will increase quality, and pauses.
How about you? What is your bitPool value?
Set to 45 aswell also do notice a high freqency wail in the background.

Yes it does.. but I'm outdoors and commuting most of the time when using the headset, and thus that level doesnt bother me much. It's a balance I would say.. But could be better..
If you do find a good tweak to increase the bitPool without skipping, do lemme know

I was looking for a way to do this, and this worked first time - thanks
I'm just using a mono headset - but it's fine
I have tried about 4 different programs that used to work with WM5, but nothing routes the audio properly. Is this a known issue? I read through most of the WM6 threads and saw a lot about VC 1.6, but nothing about this specifically. I like to route mono sound to my bluetooth to listen to music while i work, but now, I load up any bluetooth routing program and my headset beeps like it used to, but the sound still plays out of the speakers. Any help?
Have you tried using Bluemusic http://www.teksoftco.com/index.php?section=bluemusic.
I installed the demo, removed the today plugin and now when I press the button on my bluetooth headset (Jabra JX10) all audio and mic is routed to the headset until I press the button again. I've used it on Skype, and for listening to music.
the only thing you need is to install the widcomm/broadcom bluetooth stack and it will work like a charm!!
and, the soundquality will be MUCH better!

VJVolubilis.exe -agon
Worx like a charm for me.
Of course to the extent of how crappy s/w running on a crappy h/w can :-(
can someone explain to me on this issue how it works that on certain devices i guess that are designed for hands-free talking only route audio from a phone call rather than all audio as with for example bluetooth speakers one can find. i'm in the market for some bluetooth speakers for my car and i'm wondering how some of these speaker phone devices may work but i gotta understand how these things work first. thanks. feel free to get technical with me. use high-tech achronyms and such. i wanna learn.

main ones u need to look at are a2dp and hsp
thanks a lot.
I know you're supposed to make this change in a RegEdit program, but what is this VJVolubilis.exe -agon part about. Is that a program we're supposed to download?
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can come up with an app that would let us use the FM radio without headphones attached. Here is a similar tweak for Xperia Z2 in xda forums: http://www.xda-developers.com/android/enjoy-fm-radio-on-your-xperia-without-headphones-even-easier/
Thanks
It's not much use given the headset acts as an antenna.
I have that module on my Z2 and it works but you can't actually listen to the radio... unless you want to listen to constant static.

I thought they somehow managed to make it work properly in Z2. Static is not my fav radio station, so I'll pass Thank you for the info mate.
on my phone headset jack is damaged so android don"t detect in headset is inserted or not. i'm interested in such app or a tweak to be able to use fm radio app in my situation
Is there any better app for playing Bluetooth audio than the original Joying one?
I don't use it often, but noticed yesterday that it displays absolutely no info about what is playing. I had to blindly skip tracks (which seemed to be in no obvious order) until I found what I wanted.

Nope, only the stock Bluetooth app.
Well that sucks. Is it a hardware or software limitation with the Joying unit? Or something at the phone end?
It's due to the limited Bluetooth stack implementation (available types of BT profile) of the head unit and/or to the poor Bluetooth app...
For reason Bluetooth audio doesn't work properly when I'm connecting it to car Bluetooth. However it works fine with headsets. I tried different cars by different brands and the issue stays. Please help.
No issue here. What is the issue ? Calls or music?

Music. The audio sounds muffled. Was using OP6T before and it works perfectly. Issue happens only in iqoo9Pro
sounds like an issue with the BT codecs. Jump into Developer mode and play with the BT settings.
See screenshot attached.

These are the options when connected to my car. All other options are greyed out. So no luck yet

Does cheking the disable bluetooth a2dp hardware offload fixes it? if not return that setting to the default if you want.
