Does it properly support "Ok Google" while screen off (not charging)? - Moto Z Play Questions & Answers

I know it has Moto Voice, but it is not as fast nor accurate, especially in noisy environments.

It doesn't, I setup my Moto Voice phrase to be Ok Google and it works perfectly fine..

Squeaky voice using Skype and Hangouts

While in a call on Skype or Hangouts my voice sounds very high pitched and sped up. Wifi calling and normal calls i sound fine. I've tried other kernels with no luck.
Turn off the "OK Google" Detection 'From any screen' which you'll find under settings in Google's 'Voice Search' app.
You may have to reboot.
how random is this!!!! I just tried searching this issue so many ways and tumbled upon this. i NEVER would have figured this out.

Moto X and Moto 360 both respond to "okay google"

This is prob a setting somewhere that I am missing, but this is super annoying: if I have my Moto X in my pocket and say "Okay Google" to my 360, it activates my Moto X as well. Maybe the most obvious problem with this is that my phone ends up being unlocked in my pocket.
Anyone else noticed this problem and/or have a solution?
Are you using the Google Now Launcher?
Is it activating Touchless Control or whatever launchers "OK Google" function? If the former, retrain your Moto X to respond to "OK Google Now" in a very quiet environment.
Sent from my XT1049 using XDA Free mobile app
That worked perfectly. Many thanks.

Google now reminders don't vibrate

Hi all,
my Google Now reminders fail to vibrate. The reminders will vibrate and play notification sounds on the phone though, but on the watch I can only see the card if I occasionally activate the display.
Actually those Google Now reminders would be extremely helpful as I can quickly set them up by voice command, but the missing vibration renders them useless.
Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem as well?

I am actually surprised hardly anyone is commenting about the issues with Google Now on the watch. It makes me believe my watch is damaged somehow.
Since the upgrade to 1.4 Google Now is very inconsistent. I get cards on the phone and not on the watch, not even a vibrate. I installed "Feel The Wear" and get vibrations but no cards. I have to open the Google app on the watch to see what was the notification.
Integration with Google Now was the reason I chose Android Wear instead of Samsung Gear.
Now it seems Google does not care about Android Wear.
I was also surprised that there was no feedback to my thread here. I was also searching different sites and found evidence, that there is indeed a problem with the Google Now reminders.
Example:
https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/45jfym/google_reminders_will_not_cause_the_watch_to/
But I still don't know if it is not working for everyone. It would be good if someone who has working vibration notification for Google Now reminders could comment on this thread.
I guess the question should be be:
Who is having NO problems with Google Now on this watch?
I haven't had any issues with Google Now but I don't use it for a lot of things other than sports scores and weather.

Nexus 5X w Bluetooth Giving Me Fits......

Hola -
I love my 5X and it's been great until lately...I'm getting erratic behavior (or behaviour if you're in England).
The first issue is that when I have my earpiece connected (Samsung HM1300) and say "OK Google", the phone wakes up, the Assistant appears but then immediately stops listening .... the balls dance for maybe 1/2 second, then the Microphone icon appears instead and then I have to press Microphone , which ruins the hands-free paradigm of Google Now.
The second is that I once had the brilliant idea (when I forgot my earpiece) to say to the Assistant: "Call Stephanie on mobile, and put it on speakerphone". Google dutifully repeated "Calling Stephanie on mobile and putting it on speaker" and did so. Since then, half the time I make any phone call using Assistant, it puts it on speakerphone regardless of whether I ask it to. I won't even say a word remotely resembling "speaker", e.g. "Call Juliet on mobile" returns me "Calling Juliet on mobile and putting it on speakerphone". I then have to take my eyes off the road and switch from Speaker to Bluetooth.....
None of these problems existed a month ago. I've used the HM1300 for over a year.
I don't have trouble with the Assistant when Bluetooth is disconnected - the Assistant listens for a second or two before giving up.
Is there a cache I can clear or something?
TIA

Question How to get assistant to beep on the Fold 4?

Does anyone know how to make the Assistant do the chime when it starts listening? Not a single result of my searching has worked. The most promising says enable "Switch Access" which doesn't seem to be present on our devices.
I really need this so I know when my phone hears me while driving - half the time the "Ok Google" command isn't heard and I have to say it a second or third time. Obviously I'm not looking at the screen so an audio queue is needed.
