you need to unlock your bootloader, download from google play store the app "freegee" than open the app and choose a recovery, cmw or twrp, when it finished you will have bootloader unlocked and recovery installed. Now if you want to install cyanogenmod : 1.download custom rom. 2.copy it in your phone memory 3.install quickboot and choose recovery,. when recovery menu appear follow the instructions to install cyanogenmod

Dear ShazZ94,
Thank you very much. i have done it. able to do call, browse in cyanogenMod But it is showing "green screen" again & again. How to resolve this?
Dear hasan4791
very sorry for that.
About the green screen I can't help you, probably depends on CM. Generally before flashing a custom rom you need to wipe cache, wipe dalvilk and factory reset, did you? Sorry for my bad English xd

I have done it again. It is working fine now. Thank you very much.
But it is crashing when i am trying to use front cam(showing that green screen). Sometimes device is switching off.
Have you flash with CM the correct gapps?

[HELP] Asus Fonepad 7 Flash Error

Hey guys! I've just had my Fonepad 7 Fe 170cg and when I did an OTA update, I got into an error. When I turn it on, it says, "unfortunately, com.android.process has stopped working..." and it's so annoying. I tried to do a flashing through Droidboot recovery mode but after the flashing, Droidboot recovery has changed its look after an error. I could no longer find Sd Update/Sd download option.
Does anybody know the full guide on how to flash a stock firmware to this device?
I am not so familiar with the troubleshooting procedures in Asus devices so I need your help guys.
Thank you guys..

Newbie mistake bootloop after update, help? ;/

I'm really new to this, hopefully someone can help me. I rooted my phone via method 3 in the Zenfone 2 resources thread. I didn't want to update but the phone downloaded it and I thought it might be ok. The phone updated and got stuck in a bootloop. I believe the update was Z00A 2.19.40.22 ( it was like 34mb?). I read all the threads I could and came to this one. I downloaded the preroot image Z00A 2.19.22 because in my recovery at the top ,it said that was what was on it now. Did I make a mistake there, should I have downloaded an older preroot image? I followed all the directions on recovering from a bootloop ( This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/guide-to-apply-ota-bootloop-rooted-zf2-t3127835. The phone booted up after the install and I was able to go through the setup. The phone suddenly froze though and I restarted. It gets past the Asus logo and then is stuck at a black screen with the green led blinking. What do I do from here? Is the phone just dead now? Is there a possibility of saving it?
More info- Before downloading the preroot I did try to factory reset from recovery. I was still stuck with bootloop. If anyone can help me I would really appreciate it a lot.

zenfone 2 boot loader shows usb icon

Hi All,
I need your help :crying:
I have Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML which was bought couple of months back. Since it had lots of bloatware apps, I thought of installing unofficial cyanogen mode 12.1 os in my phone. Though the installation was successful, I was forced to uninstall this too early as it had too many bugs.
As a initial step I tried to restore the original recover and I was successful. But in between I tried flashing the boot and something went wrong. Now I am unable to go to the boot loader option - it always shows a 'usb' icon. I tried with power button + volume button combinations, also I tried adb reboot-bootloader but no luck. All these options took me to a screen where it shows just a usb icon image.
Could you please help me to restore the boot loader ? Also please help me to restore my original firmware.. Please...:crying:
Appreciate your efforts.

Take back to ASUS and hope it will be replaced under warranty....
Similar tragedy happened to me few months ago. Flashed the wrong file, and the recovery partition missing. On zenfone 5. Somehow the phone still boot with cm12.1. Tried everything, still unsolved. Not yet tried asus service centre. So i give that phone to my sister, and i bought this zenfone 2. Lesson learned. ?

Thanks for all your support.
i have problem.. Please watch video

xfstk-downloader
The only way out is to use xfstk-downloader. But the problem is in missing required files FW DnX, IFWI, OS DnX, OS Image files. Especially last two of them which can't be found in firmware files. Same solution already exists for Zenfone 5/6

Asus Zenfone 2 Laser Z00LD briked (ZE550KL)

Hello There,
today i've got notification that a new firmware version is available. The phone is not rooted or modded in any way.
I have downloaded the software and startet the update. The phone has booted into recovery mode and installed the update.
Afterwards the screen went black and stayed black.
It is also not possible to start fastboot or recovery mode. The phone appear as QRH_BULK in the device manager.
Is there any chance to recover the phone - or is this an RMA Case?
Thanks in advance and regards
Patrick
