Weather & Clock Widget Disappeared - Note 7 Questions & Answers

I picked up my replacement Note 7 yesterday and set it all up last night. Downloaded all my apps and set my home screen up. I use Google Now Launcher, and always have had the Weather & Clock Widget on my front screen. This worked just fine last night, and this morning after the update the widget disappeared. When I went into the widgets section, the only thing there now is just "Weather" which is a huge 5x2 widget that looks ridiculous IMO. The 5x1 Clock was so much better, and I'm wondering if anyone else noticed this when they did the OTA update this morning.
I know that this used to be common to have these widgets disappear when you download a new launcher, but the Note 5, S7 Edge, and Note 7 all worked just fine with this setup. I may have to go back to touch wiz and just put the google now widget on a screen to the left of home, but I'd love to be able to keep the now launcher.
Thank you!

I got the same issue. Hope there is a fix as I prefer the 5x1

I may go back to touchwiz for a while until/if it comes back to now launcher. The one weather widget that is available is oversized and just an eyesore.

Never mind, thought you were referring to different widget..

[Q] Couple questions: Android Weather Widget and Widget Spacing

ICS is driving me a little nuts... First the normal weather and news app cannot seem to find my location. It won't even find me if I manually put it in, city or zip code. Is this because I'm in the US or is this broken?
Second, is there any way I can fix the widget spacing? I put the news, a calendar widget and weather widget on my main page. No matter if they are HTC or Android, the spacing between the widgets is huge and looks terrible. Even adjusting the widget size leaves a huge amount of unusable space.
Appreciate any help!

I noticed the huge gap also in the widgets. I kept trying to move the Google Search widget under the clock and weather but wouldn't go close.
I am guessing this is how it is in ICS?
Anyone find a solution, or are we just the minor few that care?
Unfortunately, between this and the battery life I'm considering returning mine and sticking with my Note.
EDIT: The weather widget is still funky, but I went under settings and even though it wouldn't accept a manual location I used automatic then forced a refresh and it sometimes works.

Unfortunately, despite the large real estate the screen provides, the homescreens are still laid out in a 4x4 grid. So, no matter where you put it, it will still show a gap. Makes no sense, I know. They could've laid everything out in a 5x5 grid. Kinda wastin space. They coulda laid the Vivid out in. 5x4 grid, but they didn't. Sux to have wasted space like that.
You can use Nova or Apex launchers and go to as much as a 7 x 7 grid.

Stock calendar with nova launcher?

I love the stock touchwiz calendar widget that shows the full month with actual text on the days. Ever since I switched to nova, I can only access the calendar widget that comes with stock android. Is there a way to get touchwiz Widgets with nova?
Same problem here.

I also was dissapointed the touchwiz calendar widget was missing. The best compromise I came up with was to have it activated by double tapping the home screen.
Meeeeeeeh
I looked at a couple of other launchers and they don't have the TouchWiz calendar either - just the default. That full month widget must be something created specifically for TouchWiz like how some launchers have unique widgets to them. Might want to email the dev and see if they can extract the TouchWiz full month widget or create a similar one.
Give Calendar Pad a try it also shows text for appointments on Month Widget, only issue I have is it isn't optimized for tablets but works great on phones.

[Q] ADW Ex launcher problem

I got the a note II international version 2 days back. Pretty happy about it. Rooted it. Didn't like the tw launcher. Never liked it. Installed adwex launcher latest version. Everything work fine, except I can't seem to put the accuweather widget on the home screen, cos I can't find it in the widget selections. It's therer though in the touchwiz launcher. Also the digital clock seems to be a bit cut off on the left side in portrait mode. No amount of resizing helps.
Any clue people?

[Q] Nova Launcher on new Rooted Note 3

I am trying to finish phone setup, its a Note 3 unlocked from att and rooted. Kept having touchwiz problems and found this great launcher but it keeps crashing when trying to add widgets like a clock or sound/mute and others. When I add a widget it comes up 'nova launcher stopped working' and any earlier widgets added are corrupted or messed up.
Really want to stay with Nova prime as the grid setups are very good. Thanks for any reply.

lost my clock and weather!

I recently upgraded to the 20V firmware on my H11. Here is the problem. I was on 20R. I had a clock and weather widget on my homescreen that was there by default but now it is gone. Does anyone know how I can get the stock 20R clock/weather widget back? I tried long pressing my home screen and flipping through widgets in hopes of getting it back, but it looks like it has been removed. Does anyone know if I can extract from the old firmware? I tried the apps in the app store and they are just not the same. My old firmware had the clock and weather where if it were raining my home screen have rain drops. I loved it. The new widgets are just not the same and they look awful and non familiar to me.
Please help...........
