Hi -
I've looked around for someone actually fixing the problem that I have and haven't found it yet. There are lots of people that have had their phone stuck at a boot screen (either the Galaxy screen or the 4G screen) and were able to hold a combo of buttons (for me Vol. Up/Home/Power) and do a data wipe/factory reset. I have not been able to get any of the options on that screen to get me any further in my boot process. I'm resorting to installing a custom ROM, but have not done so before. Also, I cannot get access to my phone to install any necessary apps to assist in the flashing process. I can get to the ROM screen holding Vol. Down/Power and would appreciate instructions on how to install a ROM form there. I'm assuming I will download a file on my computer (Linux Ubuntu 13.04), connect my phone via USB cable and load the ROM onto my phone. I'm interested in CM10.1 (heard good things) but see that only Nightly builds are available. I've got the CM10.1 download, but am not sure if that is the right way to approach this problem. I've read through rwilco12's tutorials, but it looks like you need Odin installed on your phone to be able to do anything. Again, I don't have access to my phone to do this.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would recommend learning to use Heimdall to flash roms in Ubuntu. And I would start back at stock until you get out of bootloop land, then try fishing custom roms. Good luck
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda premium
I had stock installed, rooted and twrp install, I downloaded the update and now it only boots into twrp. So i tried factory reset and restoring a backup I had, still nothing. Just now I pressed advanced wipe everything except SD Card, now I have no OS And no backup to restore.
For some reason twrp doesn't recognise any micro sd card I put in, says it cant mount them.
I can't get adb working whilst in recovery. I just want to go back to stock.
Also holding down vol down and up to get into download mode doesn't work.
Thanks for any advice.
Got it into download mode now somehow (rebooting from twrp instead of cold boot) and downloading the stock firmware from LG mobile support tool.

1. Turn off the tablet. (from twrp menu )
2. Push vol+ and vol- same time.
3. Insert usb cable.
4. Release both buttons. Now you should be in download mode.
hi mike_1983, but have you solved with this method?

I was in same situation. And i solved installing stock room with LG Mobile Launcher.
Go in download mode, and then follow this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370 is 100% working.
dont update the official rom if you re rooted or you have a custom recovery, they ll brick your tablet. If you have access to recovery you can install a custom rom and there is no need to go back to full stock (unless ofc you want to keep the stock rom in which case you need to flash it using the lg mobile support tool)
I think I did it by holding down vol up and vol down whilst in twrp, then pressing reboot, system (or perhaps pressing reboot system then holding them down). I'm not sure if the usb cable was plugged in or not. I tried holding down vol up and down from powered off, but it seemed to still always go into twrp.
Then you need B2CAppSetup.exe which is LGMobile Support Tool, you can then download the stock rom, it overwrites everything, like recovery and root.
Made the same mistake : said yes when the tablet proposed me to update. Booted in TWRP.
Tried to flash with support tool but it stops at 95% and tells me in german (!) to remove the battery and try again... I've tried many times (without removing the battery obviously), just the same.
And now I can't get out of the download mode. Everytime I plug the USB cable, it goes to download mode.
Any suggestion ?
EDIT :
I even tried this method : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622777
and it stops giving me a decompression error...
Edit 2 : it finally uncomressed corectly but i'm still stucked at 95% when installing : WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR
EDIT 3 :
Using the method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622777 and leaving default parameters : Korean language and country it finaly worked with the V50010A_00.kdz firmware.
My lg g pad is finally booting ! (the battery is totally drained)
Thanks to all !

First of all, excuse me for my english. I'm from Venezuela and I'm desperate because I haven't found a solution in spanish for this issue with my phone.
unexpectedly, My S4 mini GT-l9190 turned off and did'nt turn on. I waited like two hours or three, and then I tried again, and this is what happened; My S4 mini don't move on after he shows the bootscreen (the one where it shows "Samsung Galaxy GT-l9190). After a few seconds, it restart all over again.
The problem is that it was unexpected, so I don't even know wich Rom I use to have.
I've never flashed or installed a rom in the phone, but I did root to it. It is rooted. I can't even remember wich method I use to root it.
The fact is that I just wanted to install any new offical rom. I don't want the root anymore. I just want my phone to be usefull. So, I'm trying installing many roms from sammobile.com but it just still looping at bootscreen after any new rom installed.
I read that It will fix it if I just enter to Recovery Mode (Vol +, Home and Power) and clean or do somethings.
The fact is that anytime I try to enter this Recovery Mode, it just shows a message:
"Recovery Booting
Set Warranty : bit"
That happens after all the roms I tried.
I even tried installing some custom recovery mode (philz_touch), but it still shows the same.
I'll keep downloading differents official roms, and maybe one of them will work fine. But I feel that I'm missing something.
Please, please, please. Help me. A tec service in my country is very expensive, like everything. So please, help me recover my phone!
Please tell me if you need any aditional info. I'll be waiting for your answers ((
Hello All,
I am using Samsung Note 3 Neo, unfortunately I have struck up with bootloop. I have read around and tried all the bootloop fixes but they all require the phone to have USB Debugging enabled prior for the fixes to work. Sadly for me, I didn't have the prior knowledge that that was available so I am stuck with a soft bricked phone with no work around.
Any help on issue is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
You can still access download mode (volume down+home+lock), right? Try flashing TWRP using odin ( i don't think you need to have usb debugging enabled) and then wipe everything and flash stock rom. Or if instaling TWRP does not work, flash directly stock rom using Odin. Hope that helps

I am not able to access download mode, I tried using volume down+home+lock button, Its not getting into Custom OS mode. Just black screen blinks and same samsung logo will come for thrice it will blink and then goes into bootloop
Hmm.. Can you access your stock recovery (home+lock+vol. up)? If you can, try doing factory reset and reboot. Not being able to enter download mode is really rare

Is your phone a Note 3 or a Note 3 Neo? These phones are two different variants.
Can you access download mode? (Phone off, press volume minus + home key + power at the same time until you see the phone starting to ask you if you want to procceed to access to download mode)
If yes, your model number is written at the top, download the latest firmware available for your phone model on samfirmware and flash it using odin, follow a tutorial if you are unsure cause you don't wana mess your phone up more that it already is.
If it cannot access download mode, this is gonna be a bit more complicated :/
Hi,
I was running LineageOS on my Galaxy Tab S tablet (SM-T800). I tried to update LineageOS. I went into the settings and downloaded the lastest version. However, the installation didn't go through. The download was successful, but an error message told me to try and manually install the update. I tried to go into TWRP mode to install manually the update. Instead of going in the recovery mode, I saw a TWRP app on the Google Play store. I tried and install that app. It went ok, however, I needed to reboot my tablet to finish. I did so, but after that, I got stuck in booting mode, between the TWRP logo and the Samsung logo. So the tablet was trying to boot in TWRP mode, but after about 5 seconds on the splash screen of TWRP, the spalsh screen disapear and then the tablet tries to boot in normal mode. It doesn't work, and the tablet reboots in TWRP mode, but, again, unsuccessful. It's a loop, alterning between the two splash screens.
I tryed to go into download mode and flashed the stock ROM (found on Updato) while using Odin on my computer. It worked. However, after the process, my tablet got stucked on the Samsung logo only. Now, it doesn't go in recovery mode (TWRP). I can only go in download mode or regular mode (but not working). Only the download mode works.
I don't really know waht to do. I tryed to redo the process with Odin and the custon ROM, but it didn't work better.
What can I do?
Thank you very much for your help!

Have you tried to reflash twrp via odin ? If that works go into twrp reformat your partitions, then flash a custom rom.
Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I tried to reinstall TWRP with Odin on my computer. The process went well, but the reboot of my tablet that occurs at the end of the process got stuck again on the Samsung logo. It didn't get to TWRP mode. I tried to go manually into recovery mode by holding power+vol up+home, but it didn't work.
What else can I try? Thank you,

Are you trying to get to twrp from powered off state ? If not , get to power off state, then use key combo again to try to get into twrp.
Also when you flash twrp, in odi , there is a setting to prevent auto reboot, use that and try to get to twrp via key combo from download. Mode., finally tripple chech the key combo you are using is correct
Hi,
Thanks for the help. I tried to get to TWRP from power off state. The TWRP splash screen appears, and stays on for about 5-10 sec. After that, the splash screen disappear and the tablet reboot to get stuck on the Samsung logo again. It's like if the TWRP booting process doesn't go through...
Thanks again for your help,
Ouch !!
Looks like you got a real problem , and getting into territory I'm not expert in, Ashyx is the real authority with twrp for this device, you can try to pm him and hope he takes pity on you ( he has been helping guys on this qa thread tirelessly for over a year, and is prob taking a well deserved break ).
Otherwise a few more suggestions,
Maybe your PIT is messed up , ( but you prob would not make it to twrp splash screen in that case )
Twrp may still be trying to execute the script from the original linage update and not finding something bails ( total guess ).
Try flashing a stock ( downloaded from sammobile or somwhere you trust ) rom via odin, and see if you can get into the stock recovery. From there do a factory reset and see if you can get stock running.
Try getting into twrp with device connected to pc ( helped in some wierd cases, you never know lol ).
When TWRP splash screen comes up, try some key combos , maybe twrp checks for a script abbort key combo ?
Checkout the TWRP github issues page, see if your bug is there and a solution, create a bug report or mail a dev directly.
Have a look at the TWRP code, maybe some clues ??
Hi,
So not much development here...
I tried to download the stock ROM for my device from Sammobile and tried flashing it with Odin (JOdin actually, I'm on Mac), but it says it need a PIT file. I let Casual fin the PIT file and it finds it. Only, after that my device does not reconnect to Odin even though it's still plugged in my computer. I tried to unplug it then plug it back, but then Odin says the PIT file is corrupted. I tried to restart my device, but still not connecting to Odin...
I tried getting into TWRP with my device connected to my computer. Still the same problem of rebooting while TWRP is booting (while it's on splash page).
No combo key seems to work to keep TWRP open and loading...
Didn't find anything on TWRP github and I'm not saavy enough to look into TWRP code.
So, I'm still stuck with my initial problem. Do any of ou have some advices/suggestions or can help me with my problem please? At this point, I've been without my tablet for more than a month and it S**KS!!
Thanks in advance everyone,

Use ODIN via Windows or a VM on your Mac.
Flash stock firmware then boot to recovery and factory reset.
Reboot and wait ten minutes.
Hi, thanks a lot for your time.
I will try that at work tomorrow as I don't have Windows at home. However, I did try to flash stock ROM with Windows initially (see first post for more info) and it didn't solve my problem. I wasn't able to access recovery mode after the stock ROM was flashed. Hope it's gonna work now and I'll be able to factory reset.
I'll let you know tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks,
