i think its illegal.
I searched and can not find any Federal, State or other laws in the United States stating that changing an IMEI number is illegal.
Imei tampering in any way, other than backup and restore, is not discussed on XDA.
And yes, it's illegal almost everywhere.

I found a way to change the IMEI.
But is there any way to change the SN?
I'm sorry, but according to FCC regulations and applicable laws, topic such as chaning SN/IMEI is not allowed to discuss on XDA, as it may lead to Cell Phone Fraud.

Does the P3XL have 2 IMEI numbers? The country I'm traveling to requires registration of imei numbers at the airport and I use both a physical sim and the esim in my phone. How do I check and see both IMEI numbers? Many thanks!

No it doesn't. Go to settings, system, about phone. Your IMEI will show up there.

lol actually several countries require imei registration if you plan to use a local sim card. Turkey, Chile, Pakistan to name a few...
Just to add to above, as noted, they only have 1 IMEI number.
If you need to find the EID for eSIM, it has to be active on the phone. Only other method is to check the box your phone came in.

Hi,
Unfortunately we can't help you with that here as it is illegal to change your IMEI in the US. (I'm refering to the forum Rules)

And in most countries of the world, again we cannot help you here, the rules of this website forbids requesting this stuff because it is illegal in most country. Even if you were in a country that allows IMEI changing, the rules of the forum stay the same.
Phone is sim locked (imei was barred in my country) So i cant make calls/4g within the country
Is there any solution for this? ie modify the IMEI code?

Is this simlocked to one specific network that isn't the one you want to use it on, or is it blacklisted ie. someone sold you the device but they ddin't pay their bill with the carrier, etc. ?

Its open to all carrier.
Yup that person didnt pay bill
Was wondering if there is a solution to this..
1) Will the carrier lock both sims?
2) Is it possible to bypass this lock?

Hmm... let's check your IMEI and find out if it's a ban on your IMEI - you're asking me about both sims, do you have a dual-sim phone? Go here https://www.imeipro.info/ put in your IMEI for the phone - (not the iMSI for the sim) Have you already tried the phone with a sim from a different carrier than the one you believe it's blacklisted with? This should be able to tell us if there's a blanket ban on your IMEI or if it was just something carrier specfiic.

Status is clean.. All other carriers are blocked as well
Seems like its locked based on the imei nationwide
Greetings. Just an FYI for all of you. Since the changing of the IMEI is prohibited in many countries for obvious reasons, XDA does not condone this discussion as well.
Best advice would be to contact the carrier, pay off the phone, and call it a day.

Hello. I live in Turkey. In Turkey, there is no official sale of Oneplus. Therefore, we need to buy them from people (who illegally import the phone). The government don't let us use this phone unlimited, therefore, IMEI number need to be changed.
I have LE2123 model which has changed IMEI number. Now I need the original IMEI numbers to register the device on Oneplus Care. Is there any way to get back to original IMEI numbers?
Thanks for your concern..

@y.emrecicek
Edit or change of IMEI is illegal in quite a few of countries. For this reason, I've closed your thread! XDA doesn't allow and doesn't accept discussions about or support for such an edit or change.
