6a00000.ssusb WAKELOCK (WLD & BBS) - OnePlus 3 Questions & Answers

OK, I've been using NucleaROM - I've tried clean flashing, I tried a different kernel from the developer.
When I clean flashed, I installed nothing but EXKM and WLD.
I am apparently the only person with the issue.
What happens is, if I plug in my USB cable, set to MTP (to transfer or not doesn't matter) files.. my phone will not go into deep sleep after, it stays held awake forever until a reboot.
Reboot fixes it, but obviously if I put my phone into my PC again, same issue as before, 6a00000.ssusb keeps my phone awake.
Does ANYONE know what this is and how I can fix it? NucleaROM is the only thing I enjoy on my OP3 and this is a massive inconvenience.. I don't get it with RR, I don't get it with OOS... the developer is unsure, and says because it's just me that its me.

I get it with RR as well
Thanks for sharing the reason of this wakelock since I was blaming the Kernel
Sadly I have no idea on how to solve it

I don't get it with old build of NucleaROM, just the latest, so so weird.. no-one else has the issue.. apparently.

It is problem of cm . In nigtlys also it happens .
I will try fix this bug

Actually I am having this problem with cm 14.1 21 Nov build and whenever I use Android auto I will get this wake lock.
Only fix is to reboot the phone.

I get this with CM14.1 20161211 Nightly, reboot fixes it temporarily

@dianlujitao boss, can take a look at this? It is still happening on latest cm 14.1 nightly

I have the same problem on RR…… stupid warlock!

i'll check it on my galaxy s3 with official cm14.1, stay tuned

I have exactly the same issue on the latest lineageOS by dianlujitao. At least I know a workaround now. Hope it gets fixed soon!
Cheers

Thanks for your response.
Have you updated to a new kernel? I think the 6a00000.ssusb is one component in the kernel and the updates in kernel might be helpful to solve this problem....
Sadly my Oneplus 3 is still under this bug...

Hmm I am on the 3t so not too sure

Thanks for your reply. This afternoon I flashed the Franco kernel and the problem still existed....
This bug is very strange. I have tried to clean all the data in Recovery and flashed the official Roms but the bug existed in different versions of Roms... I think this implies that it is not related to the Rom. But the fact that a different kernel did not work well implies that it is not related to the kernel.
So where does the bug stand??????????????

Hey guys, finally I found the way to solve the problem.
1 Root your device.
2 Install Root Explorer app.
3 Open Root Explorer, find /sys/module/dwc3_msm/parameters/otg_switch.
4 The default status when you open the file should be 1. Change it to 0.
5 DO NOT restart your phone.
6 Wait and see.
The bug is something wrong with OTG function. The above change will shut down the OTG function.
On my phone when you restart the switch will go to 1 automatically. I don't know why. When this happened again just do the above procedures again.

I don't have this issue.
But just out of curiosity, I checked the location indicated by you. While 'parameters' exists, there is no 'otg_switch' under it. So what I am trying to say is that your solution may not work for all.
But happy to see that you seem to have found a solution even if temporary.

Thanks for your reply. If there is no 'otg_switch' under the folder, you can try to shut down the OTG function in the settings.

Noticing the same kernel wakelock on my Xiaomi Mi MIX (running a Stock Global ROM), I've stumbled upon this thread. Thanks for pointing out the cause!
However my parameters folder does not contain an otg_switch either, but I seem to have found a workaround by enabling USB debugging in Developer options.
With USB debugging enabled, 6a00000.ssusb does not show up anymore in BBS after unplugging from MTP mode.
Don't know if this will work for the OP3 as well....

That's also something new, I have seen my wifi go to Authenticating then just say saved and not connect. I either long press on it and choose connect or turn my wifi off then back on and it connects.
I don't have data on my phone so I rely heavily on wifi. Seems it has only happened when I'm originally connecting to my home wifi, reconnects without issue when I get home from work everyday. At work, it connected without issue and has each time since automatically. Seemed, from my experience, to only have an issue connect the first time to the first network.
Has anyone else been having a lack of wifi?
You can try another kernel if you'd like, can't say if they'd work or not as I've never tried one. Thus I'm not sure which to suggest.
Tried smoocha and att kernel from this group wouldn't boot afterwards.had to reflash the ROM.
Was able to get WiFi working By flashing latest modem file.

I've had the same issue. Flashed last night and no matter what it won't connect to my home wifi though it does scan and see available networks. I'm just searching for the modem right now. Great Rom though. Everything is nice and snappy.

How to check for updates?
Hi,
I have sgh-i317m and CM12 as my rom. Everytime I check for updates in the about phone section and click refresh under CyanogenMod updates, it says no updates available. The version I have on my note 2 is 12-20150110-unofficial-t0lteatt. Would anyone be able to tell me if I can flash anything with more updates and a better version and also how I should keep checking for updates?
Thanks!
I can't get any keyboard to work. Android keyboard won't pop up, and after downloading the Google Keyboard apk and installing it (and of course setting it as active), it still won't pop up. Any ideas? This is the first time I've tried putting Lollipop onto this phone.
Edit: Got it working by either enabling or disabling the hardware keyboard option (I don't remember which it was). All is perfectly stable for me so far. Snapchat videos cut short by about 30% but that's always been a problem for me on all non-Touchwiz ROMs.
Does anyone know why I always get this error message when I attach photos to messages in most apps? In guessing it has something to do with reading from SD card (all of my media is there), but I haven't been able to track down the issue or a fix. It pops up each time an image preview is attempting to load it seems, so I have to quickly chose a gallery app to use to navigate to the picture to send in between the error popups. Thanks for any help.
-Edit- Fixed by reformatting SD card to ExFat.

I haven't ever come across that issue. Try clearing app data from all relevant apps (i.e. Media Storage, Gallery, etc.).
GPS no longer works for me And I've seen a return of the "Can't connect to camera" issue! Maybe it's just time for me to get a newer phone . . .
Well the Exfat formatting turned out to just accidentally work for a little while. It has something to do with reading from the external. I have all of my media on it (non on internal) and I figured out a quick work around. I just took about 10 screenshots and left them in my internal storage. Now I am running smoothly.

wow thanks man! that was fast haha, will test ASAP

Deny all and test your apps. If you need to enable an authorisation, return to privacy guard and long touch google services to choose detailed access.
@murigny64 i see, anyways after deny all i have no problems so it can be done safe, i add some pictures here, magisk all good, performance really good (35k at 1920x1080 and 40k at 1280*720, it is some less than other roms there but i really prefeer lineageOS), Pogo and etc, incredible rom
i suggest to disable LiveDisplay tho, it affects a lot the performance
EDIT: and btw, the battery life is amazing, but interactive seems a little bugged, but anyways it is good
EDIT2: changed to userspace and all ****ing good, idk what is the problem with interactive tho lol
@murigny64
Awesome work, and I LOVE the ROM. I do have a couple questions though. First, can I just disable the privacy guard altogether, or do I need to enable then deny?
Secondly, I saw a post where you were mentioning lock screen issues here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/idol-3/help/6045-try-to-fix-lockscreen-security-t3435892
I'm having the EXACT same issues. My phone was lollipop, and I've not reflashed any radios. It sounds from your post that you found a file to flash to correct the issue, but I don't know what to look for, or where to find it. Can you please link the files you flashed to fix it, or a link? If it helps, I have the 6045 from cricket.

Xposed v87 work fine, you have to install arm64 variant.

What kind issues are we talking about while flashing it via TWRP/Orange Fox/Redwolf?
China Alpha encrypted my internal and wiped all of my personal data which sucks, is beta also encrypting the internal?

Yeah . U can join the telegram group and see what ol is it boht !
I've read people suggesting flashing if via the Updater app. Does it work?
And don't have the telegram group but have they talked about any issues at all with the beta 8.1? I read one in the MIUI forums say that Auto Brightness causes screen burn ins but no clarification has been done yet.

okay i flashed it through TWRP without flashing lazyflasher and it boots! takes a long time to boot but wait it out, adaptive brightness definitely works also so we're safe on that front

Thanks man. I'm skeptical about flashing through the updater app since I have the China Alpha and this is Global beta. Might as well go the TWRP route to be sure.

yeah i formatted data just like last time, and its running wonderful right now, still setting up stuff, but it restored my apps (even signed into some apps by default already, prolly cause its android 8.1) its lovely.

okay strangely enough the android debugging logo still is a jellybean... but android version says android 8.1, so they might have to update that still, dont worry about that

Glad to hear you successfully flashed it.
Please elaborate about formatting your data, do you mean simple wipe of data or format of data (full internal storage)?
P. S What recovery are you using?
Antutu score.

Good to know we have another choice. Congrat. I suggest you be more methodic or explain better how to flash. If we come from original or if we come from another custom rom, etc. Remember since galaxy 10 now the field is fully mined and nobody would like a brick phone.
