I'm trying to restore my S-ON One M8 to stock using RUU. I relocked my bootloader .
My Device Details:
cid: HTC__J15 (Region : Arabic). version-main: 3.28.401.7.
So I flashed a few RUU zip files (using fastboot) from htc dev website with versions higher than mine.
But I keep receiving signature verify fail.
I would very much appreciate if someone could point me to the correct RUU.

If you got it from HTC Dev, it's not an RUU, it's kernel source.
You can get the proper RUU.exe file here :
https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B17smFr95pleeTQ5U1NzNkZzM0U/edit?pli=1
You can get the RUU.zip file, if you would prefer that, from here :

Which RUU would work for me??
Thanks in advance.
I need help with RUU install, as I constantly getting 155 Unknown error when I try to run .exe RUU ( (by checking it is related to bootloader locking, but I lock that and it show LOCKED)

I did try to change CID to some of developers CID same problem
Some other stuff I did try:
- With RELOCKED, LOCKED or UNLOCKED same error
- Did try with old 5.1 RUU, and some network related RUU same error
I can flash CM 13 without problems ... If you know what else I can try please suggest.
RUU that I try:
RUU_HIMA_UL_L51_SENSE70_ATT_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_2.11.617.15_Radio_01.01_U11440601_76.03.50611G_F_release_445910_signed_2.exe

Double check this before you proceed! Flash a stock recovery, lock the bootloader and try the ruu again.
With S-off it shouldn't matter that your BL is unlocked. I used it justice other day with unlocked and s-off.
Have you been able to use an RUU in the past? I have to download a bunch of files for windows to even get mine to load.
Sent from my HTC One M9 using Tapatalk
why are you using the RUU.exe method.....
just use the RUU.ZIP method very simple and time saving
Hello,
Sorry for my english
I would completely back to zero. So Stock ROM and Stock Recovery.
So, I download "TWRP Backup (Untouched System Image + Boot)" (here) but after the flash, I have an error message that tells me that I have no OS installed.
Can anyone explain me how to do please ?
You are not supposed to flash the backup zip but restore the files. Maybe in the meantime there is a ruu for you that's easier.
Post the output of
Fastboot getvar all (performed in the download mode)

There is no stock backup there for you as you can see in the version main number. You need one that match it, you can't just take any stock backup if you want ota in the future. If you haven't got any backup of your own one thing you can do at this moment is to run a custom rom. S-off with sunshine. Change cid to the wwe one and run the 130.401 ruu......
Dear friends:
I need Stock recovery for my HTC 10 (CID HTC__J15, MID 2PS620000, version-main: 2.41.401.3) Android Nougat. Could you tell me where can I find it? some link or similar to download. Please.
Now, I'm trying to flash a custom ROM, but I want to get files to back to stock anytime.

Thanks all lot and regards :fingers-crossed:
I realize I've already provided you with the recovery, but if anyone else needs it you can download it here.
I have an M9 which is S-OFF and SCID-11111111 with a locked bootloader but rooted. Current firmware version is 3.41.651.4 which suggests the SKU is 651 which is a CDMA variant. However, the phone settings do seem to provide options for both GSM and CDMA, and it works fine in the UK. I'd like to go back to stock using a Nougat upgrade RUU (it's currently on Marshmallow).
Soooo, my question is, if I change the CID to SPCS_001 (the MID is already the correct one for this SKU 0PJA20000) and flash an RUU for this SKU will this result in an upgraded stock phone which still works in the UK?
Here's my getvar and download mode info:

I went ahead with changing the CID as above and installing first the stock marshmallow RUU then upgraded to the latest nougat RUU via OTA. All works except that it is geared for a Sprint M9 and doesn't seem to properly register the 4g data signal. I'm just wondering if I could change the CID to HTC__001 and load the latest European RUU? I used the SD method and it worked fine. I've read different things, suggesting that with S-OFF it's possible to load any RUU provided the CID & MID are correct for the RUU. I've also read that you have to stay with the same SKU, so I'm not sure. Would this be possible?
