Welp, no much difference. It has newer security patch, includes more battery saver steps (10%, 20%, 25%), keyboard with symbols on keys, and replaces ugly aosp sounds with google ones.

It has the hardware BCM4339.
In Marshamallow I use the [email protected] apk that enable this feature.
Sadly, it didnt works with Nougat.

Yeah,but the ROM is great,been a fan since 2012,finally got the chance to support it!
Happy to join the party again as mentioned above, but a question: in the m8 subdirectory of the nightlies link above the version numbers are still 5.1.1xxxx - those aren't 6.0 builds yet, are they?

I like the rom but I couldn't figure out how to root. I didn't see root settings so I tried to flash su in twrp and it bootlooped. I'm running Exodus lolli now but I want mm. Can you clear something up for me? Are vavir and Exodus made by the same team?

Hi guys, this is stock Android, also known as the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).
Welcome to the cleanest rom of them all. This project is a collaboration with @updateing and a continuation of his 7.0 builds.
Our goal is to provide the most solid taste of Nougat we can possibly give you. We may run into problems that we will not be able to fix because this is AOSP with necessary changes to build/boot the rom.

Notes on the sources:
local manifest
- Some fixes are really "dirty" (as I'm not able to find a proper way)...
- Some JNIs fail to build (lots of C++ symbols no found). You may try linking C++ libs dynamically (c++_static -> c++_shared) to avoid this. See 20160828 patches, packages/inputmethods/LatinIME for example.
- Some apps require android-8 ndk, but the earliest version in the tree is android-9. A symlink will do (or you can change the Android.mk in app) but I'm not really sure this will not introduce any bug.
- Android N split mediaserver into multiple processes to improve security, such as cameraserver, mediacodec, etc. But camera blobs and old HALs were not designed like this. They assume they run in the same process, thus a buffer created by blobs are being used everywhere, which will cause illegal memory access under Android N. I reverted lots of patches about this, forcing camera and codec services to run in the mediaserver process as before - security compromised with functionality, again.

Does flashing root save the recovery? Thanks for this build for our old bacon.
Everybody just delete recovery from boot in system after flashing and before booting up if you're recovery is wiped.

OmniSwitch is missing from the may06 build, if you would like to use OmniSwitch as intended within AOSGP Settings then you can flash the zip at https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/7-0-nougat-omniswitch-flashable-zip-t3456566 in order to restore functionality. The issue will be resolved in the next build so you won't have to take this step. Thanks to @wrongway213 for the flashable zip and of course @maxwen for development

Still having the issue? I only had it the first time, but after a reboot it never freezed again :good:
Edit: nope same issue here. Takes a picture but gallery isn't accessible and picture not stored

Camera freezes in Whatsapp. Also tried a 3rd party camera app. Same thing.
Just a minor other thing: I'm unable to use the flashlight. Nothing to worry about and definitely nothing to complain. I really like this ROM!
Edit: After a reboot it works again.

Camera is not working. Even after restarts it freezes again and never works.

Using Optimus kernel...but i have this issue in last 3 weeks, with XenonHD, PureNexus and others 7.x roms.
How to turn off auto data off when screen is lock?

I m also facing this problem in all N 7.X roms, Even returning to stock firmware till problem exist. My phone turnoff on any present like 60 % shown and suddenly its shows 0 % and power off and when I trying to start its shows battery drain but when I connect charger, after few seconds its show 60 % battery then I am able to start devices.
Kindly suggest solution If anyone have.

BTW LineageOS addonsu is preinstalled.
This is an excellent ROM but there are some problems. Firstly, Adaway does not work - it simply force closes settings and returns to home screen. Secondly, a random bug where long pressing an app in app drawer just brings up app search. This may be launched related (I use Nova Prime). There been a lot of lags and freezes with general use - particularly noticeable during YouTube playback.
I understand it is Beta but these need ironing out as development continues.
I do believe, however, that this ROM can be THE best - highly customisable.

Flick launched needs work, but my One More Click widget works fine. Flick isn't compatible with a number of icon theme sets. Its brand new and somewhat similar to Nova launcher, but unpolished.

Installation steps:
Remove PIN / Password from current build before rebooting to recovery
Clean wipe system partition, cache partition.
For clean install: wipe userdata partition. Clean install required if you're coming from other ROM or facing issues after dirty install.
Flash ROM + Flash Arm64 Gapps
For decrypted devices: Flash latest no_verity zip
Reboot and profit
Installation Notes:
LOS superuser is pre-installed can be enabled under developer options.
Optional: If you want to use Magisk Root solution- you need to flash ROM, reboot once, complete setup and then flash Magisk in recovery.
Optional: For decryption, you must clean wipe everything once and to keep device decrypted, flash NO VERITY FOR OOS 5.0 everytime after flashing ROM - Download Here

Maybe too early to ask but does VOLTE work?
i have 2 small problem:
1. wifi is always turn off after reboot device and hard to connect to old point
2. How to swap the hard button?

This ROM uses LOS as base and therefore we avoid conflicts as much as possible. Button mapping will be included once ready with LOS to merge.
"Ok google" works with voice command.
P.S. If you enable navbar, longpress home button on navbar.
@ everyone:
The color seems overkill with temperature.
In Beta 1 build, you can goto Display > LiveDisplay
and set day temperature to 6500 while night temperature to 4800.
This looks good and will be default next build onwards.

For a beta the build Is quite good..a little laggy sometimes..so may need some the touch boost thing which was there in crdroid nougat...oh and also can there be a setting for swapping recent and back buttons(hw)..
Also when changing the device theme in the display menu makes systemui fc..tried rebooting but only shows a black screen..other than that,great work..thnx for the support and your work

Yes, kernel will be enhanced to boost properly.
As mentioned above, button mapping is WIP by LOS team but small workaround is... you can search "Button" in settings and you will see Swap settings there.
I will check theme issue.
Issue with chinese language to be fixed in next build later tonight. Cheers.
