Dumb little hack to get extra apps

So I've noticed some apps say they are not compatible with the note edge on the play store.
In case anyone was not aware of you goto build.prop and change your device from tbltespr (where spr is your variant) to trltespr you get more games as the play store thinks you are a regular note 4.
The lines will be:
ro.product.name=tbltespr
ro.product.device=tbltespr
r o.build.product=tbltespr
To
ro.product.name=trltespr
ro.product.device=trltespr
r o.build.product=trltespr

I have a Note 4 & Note Edge and I didn't think of this... Great find... Thank you...

Will this also work on T-Mo? I'll give it a go to see if it works. Thanks for your help.

I found simcity and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic both would not download on note edge but would on note 4.

Only reason I did not post there was is such a small dumb trick, figured that would be for things that do something 'more' lol.

Right now the thread has one build prop mod that crashes the camera. Anything is fine haha

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic has major scaling issues on the Note Edge. It is either too big for the screen, or with gltools adjustments, too small. No way I've found yet to make it scale to the screen correctly, unless theres something like a .ini file saved to the device that you can adjust display size.
It's one of my favorite games of all time.

Yea, just noticed this. I never played it before today, just loaded it up. Odd that it is not working as the screen is equal to the more 4 (pixel wise) anyway.

Everyone is having problems with their touch screens. There's several threads about it already. There are some suggestions for fixing it, but they don't work for everyone. Look around the forums for the other threads, they aren't hard to find.
This is the internet, we're all rude here.

i had 2 different lg g4 (open EU) and none of the units had a single touch screen problem. so it looks like you are wrong.

It's a weird problem that shows up differently for many people. My phone works well except for tap to wake, which worked great when new, but is getting worse.
Have you tried different chargers and had the same touch screen problems? See below, I think some problems are related to heat

I suspect your model has less problems in this area because it isn't loaded with carrier bloatware.
I think some of the problems are related to heat. It seems the top of the phone gets very hot, especially on US carriers because of background bloatware, T-Mobile in particular. The screen and camera start to work poorly.
I blocked 95 pre installed packages on my AT&T variant using Debloater and the phone works great except for tap to wake. Sometimes I just have to beat the phone to wake it up.
Do you ever have to double tap or enter the knock code more than once to wake your EU variant?

Screen Protection for Canadians

I live in Canada and many of the screen protectors that are being reviewed online are not available for purchase since they do not ship here. Anyone from Canada have any good recommendations? Considering Spigen's Neo Flex but it's out of stock at the moment. Thanks

Im going to get the whitedome one and I emailed them and they said this week they will start shipping to Canada via amazon.

G Color is pretty good. However I ended up switching it out for the NeoFlex because I screwed up the installation of the G Color one lol.
Also G Color came with a free clear case. Not the best quality, but still it was nice of them to throw that in.

I got the Whitestone Dome one and it's amazing. But not shipping to Canada just yet. I got it because I live on the border and had it shipped to a US address I can use. You guys will love it when you can get it.

I just cant do the plastic type ones...they feel awful to the touch..its like going backwards in time 4 years lol.

Exactly. I had the ClearPlex one from Best Buy but took it off because it felt terrible.

I picked up a glass screen protector from a store in Hamilton as I needed something as I was going out that night paid 40 and it was crap lol I thought it was ok at first but it felt almost like that plastic screen on an OtterBox defender case. I switched cases today and it just came off the phone and I'm glad it did lol. I think I will just go with a case and no screen protector and hope for the best as it seems there are no good curved glass screen protectors for the s8+

haha I agree with you there, but with such limited selection to choose from, it makes it difficult.. especially since pretty much all of the ones I've seen have horrible reviews.
But I NEED a screen protector on my phone! I usually upgrade my phone every 6 months - 8 months and I always sell my previous device.

It's not terribly bad and it is nice and clear. But it doesn't feel as good as glass. If your interested in it you can probably go to Best Buy and I'm sure one of the workers would have a phone with it on that they'd let you look at and touch.

Three PAYG UK

Has anyone actually managed to order the phone from Three for pay as you go? I've tried over 20 times but it just fails at the payment screen used my partner's card too and the same thing happens.

Why would you do that when you can buy direct from razor? Though admittedly right now all you can do is sign up for a notification email.

I successfully pay for the pre-order of the phone in 3‘s website, so I think there is no problem with the website. Maybe you should use another devices to finish the payment.

Tried that still won't go through

I had exactly the same problem as you, tried around 30 times with different cards, addresses, people.
Eventually got a buddy to try for me with all his details and it went through fine. Pain in the ass, three don't let you pay that much over the phone too so no point in you trying to contact their customer services.
In store they are only taking pre-orders for people doing contracts so a waste of time there too.
Get someone else to try.

Is the phone on display yet on Three to view? also will there be roms on this device? as really thinking of selling the op5 to buy this.

My local store didn't have it on display but when asked they had one behind the counter and I had a go on that for around 15 mins. I personally love it.

I have just spoken to the customer service and they said that the reason for not going through is that anything pay as you go has to be under £100. Sounds ridiculous to be honest.

after all this crap I will never ever have a Three sim card the CS is the biggest load of balls

its on display at the three store in enfield town. its very cold to touch and quote boxy/clunky with big bezels, think of a sony xperia in cold metal rather than glass. ordinarily i would move on but for some reason I LOVE THIS ALOMST RETRO DESIGN. i must say the display isnt as bright as the s8 or my OP5 on the demo unit...

razer have now decided to relay you to three to pre order...

i wonder if VOLTE and wifi calling will work on this out of the box, three actualy says it 4g super voice ready ...

when i restarted the phone at three it displayed the three symbol on boot-up, looks like the firmware on the device is three specific. this could make it like Samsung where stock firmware won't allow for volte and wifi calling etc. if it does have operator firmware on it via three, i hope it gets updated as quickly as stock firmware ...
lets see when released ...

Gotcha. They say it is unlocked. The splash screen will unfortunately there, however, the bootloader will be unlockable so I don't see why we won't be able to flash the stock fw on it.

It had a Three boot screen? Why the hell when it's not locked to them :S that triggers me a little.

Yeah I know but after all the **** I've been through with Three I don't want anything on my device at all. God knows when Razer will put up factory images.

Mine is arriving tomorrow... will let you know... i have a s3 lte and use as phone... hope everything works same or better on s4 like s3 (about 4g and regular phone calls)

I really appreciate it! I too have the S3 model ending in T825Y, LTE works awesome on it, have my digits with TMO on it as well. Hope you enjoy the tab!

The Tab s4 is crisp on phone calls with tmobile.

Hi friend, i have same S3 model T825Y on TMO and works great too... hope this works same or better.. S4 T835 is arriving Mon 27... will update any info as soon as i can... dont know if it is Y, C or N... this is the one i bought eBay S4 Lte

Hi again friend... muy t835n arrived today... dont know how to check bands but all works great on tmo... lte 35 megs... phone calls great... no nfc, but the most annoying... iris scanner does not replace fingerprint reader.... all apps you logged with fingerprint, now, you have to type password wtf! Really dissapointed... bank, car app, lastpass, all of them and more can log with iris scanner... really really upset...tablet is 10, but that lack of autentication is a big problem for me

Looks like you will have to use Samsung Pass. This is from the guide.

Works... with samsung pass can sign on most apps, but not all... wells fargo does not work... and its a little rudimentary... in other hand there is no way to import my passwords from lastpass... will check a little more

The Samsung book cover case is what I have for my Wi-Fi S4 and it's nice so far, for what it's worth. A bit pricey though.

Yes you can make phone calls over GSM-LTE Network.. its a full on phone app that you would find on a note 9 note 8 galaxy s8+ etc, and you have a true sms aka message app as well. My plan was to make it daily driver, i'm finding it bit to big to carry around. yeah i know lol, my Tab S 8.4 is my daily driver but A$$ Hole samsung havent released an 8.4 verison again.. Samsung suck for that. But other than that the TAB S4 is a beast of a tablet 4k content looks incrediblem i was watching avengers infinty wars in 4k man i could see actors zits, lol you would never notice them on full hd display. Samsung truly has made a monster of a display, on this Tab S4!

Anybody know any good deals on the T8:35? I just got a free smartphone line on T-Mobile just waiting for this baby to be used on lol. I see it brand new on eBay for $857.
