I have a big problem with WIFI. I used a brand ROM, but a few months ago I changed to the CM13. And since then, I had already begun to have problems with WiFi. It was included, but could not see any network, and with none of them connect to the phone. I tested a lot of ROMs, and the same effect. Back to orginal Rom, it did not help. I have no ideas how to fix it.
Try flashing the latest modem and bootloader for you phone. If that doesn't help, flash the latest rom.
Does the phone display the correct imei?

Yes, IMEI is correct.
I tried, the last ROM 4.4.2, without effect.
Same Problem Still No Solution
I have the same problem, this occurred sometime after installing the Temasek ROM 9.1 before that was working brilliantly on Temasek and on Stock ROM reverted back to stock did a factory reset but no avail had posted on the Temasek for N7100 by Trafalgar Square but received no reply.
Searched everywhere no answers, went to the service center waited 2 hrs and those duds did not now what to do.
Please if anyone knows what to do please let us know. Thanks

I use 4 parts Repair Rom with PIT, and nothing. I dont have ideas.
If you get the rom from sammobile, just unzip the file once to produce a tar.md5 file and flash this file Odin. Try with and without pit. Also, use the original Samsung USB cable on a USB 2.0 port.

WiFi now getting range saved but no net if away from router
After flashing the PIT file and the Stock Rom the WiFi getting better range, getting saved but no internet.
Can get internet only if inches away from the router.
What to do now.
Any help?
Same problem, but solved a few minutes ago after months
I had the same problem. I changed roms, kernels and modem trying to solved but nothing. It didn't find any wifi and sometimes it didn't turn on. First of all I bought a new smartphone. After that I tried to see if problem was hardware. I open the backplate and remove everything trying to find wifi antenna. Touching with my finger it worked so i put a little bit of aluminium to make some thickness and now I'm typing from my note. End of story. At the end I find out to reach wifi antenna in a simple way, you can see it in photo. It's under that piece of plastic.

Under that piece you will find this.
.
It has a " U " shape and put some aluminium there.
Tried the aluminum or copper wire trick by opening the case and pressing the u sahped antenna did not work out for me, tried changing the outer shell housing but that didn't work out too.
I really don't understand what the problem really is and how to rectify it.
Still getting Wifi and internet only when inches away from the router.
If go any further it shows saved and sometimes Connection failure.
The problem seems as if the ip address cannot be assigned if it goes any further. Tried the static route but no avail.
Any further help with the issue ?
Still not solved WiFi works inches from the router only
Does anyone have a solution to my problem?
Please let me know

Ok, so here is what happened, I got a new job and wanted to receive push email messages to my phone, the IT department was like you can set it up yourself if you can figure it out, but since you don't have a "company phone" we can't walk you through it. So i set it up of course and found out the only way my phone would do it was after I encrypt it and my sd card.
so not knowing that i would have to enter in a pin or pw to unlock my phone every time in addition to on every reboot, I did the encryption and it lasted 1 day before i got feed up, I am a good flasher and never had any big issues, but now when i went to flash it says failed, also when i try to wipe it as failed. Since i never got that message before i i figure its because of encryption. So i do a Data Format, which says it will remove encryption.
it did, but now it says i have no OS installed when i go to reboot, and it wont let me install custom roms from twrp either now?? , So i go back to Odin and try to install a stock PDA package, it runs through fine and adds a counter to flash log, and after reset it stays on Galaxy screen and never changes. I have reset/wiped and reflashed through Odin several times with the same result.
Please Help, the only thing I can think of now is maybe I can't flash because the stock package i flashed took away root, but if thats the case how do I but on a stock rom so i can root it back ???
Sounds like you need to "re-partition" the phone in Odin, dont know if the tar has the "pit" file needed for the partition as in a all in one. Maybe someone will link you to a "pit".
Dont worry about "root" sextape..etc have stock roms with "root" already buit-in.

Try going to rwilco12.com and download the ma7 stock rooted One Click for the Note II. That should get you going. You won't need to use Odin and select pda, just download the ma7 stock rooted exe open it up on pc, boot into download mode and connect your phone to pc, phone gets recognized press start and it does its thing. I was having a similar issue, no os installed and it would error on data partition on restore and wouldnt install anything. I used a no data tar in odin then rebooted to stock recovery. there was an error about a data log and something else, but I formatted data and cache in the stock recovery and rebooted and it worked. It took me about 45 mins to get it to boot.

Hello internet, I'm a noob, so excuse my noobiness. Basically, I've managed to "brick" my SGH-T989D, also known as a Samsung Galaxy S2X, or Hercules; I'm on the Koodo network, and using 4.1.2 which I acquired from Kies. I was attempting to flash TWRP to achieve root using Odin as suggested by this website:
http://www.androidayos.com/2013/04/29/root-t989dtlumc4-samsung-galaxy-sii-sgh-t989d-teluskoodo-jelly-bean-4-1-2/
I followed the instructions, but Odin failed in the middle of the flashing. Now I'm stuck with this screen (not my picture):

One of the attachments is a screen shot of my "About Device" information from before I was bricked. I've tried flashing multiple stock ROMs through Odin, typically with a name similar to "T989DTLUMC4_T989DOYBMC4_KDO", but it consistently fails. The point at which it fails varies, and I'm not confident about what's causing the failure, but I've noticed it tends to hang up on "<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..", or fails at "<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.". I'll attach a screenshot of what Odin looks like upon failure with the message box clearly visible. I don't have any recovery files, because, ironically, I was bricked while flashing a recovery to prevent bricking. Also, I'm open to trying things other than Odin.
I'd like assistance to get my phone back to a usable state (at least able to make calls, and text). I would be especially grateful if it ended up rooted, and/or with a safe method of flashing, and trying custom ROMs (I eventually wanted to have Cyanogen mod 10.1, and Clockworkmod Recovery). However, any help is appreciated; Thank you for your time.

You need to search for ODIN version 1.85... hard to tell what you're using but it looks very different from mine. ill try to attach a good copy of it. The one i used was nice.
In the mean time... have you gone into Kies and at the top select "tools" and "emergency recovery" or somethign similar to those words? that WILL restore your device to a usable state... that's guaranteed.

Hey! thanks for the reply. I was using Odin v3.07. I have a couple of screenshots for you. Kies wants me to provide a recovery code (screenshot), which is not given to me. I believe that option only works if your phone was bricked while updating using Kies. Also, Kies doesn't seem to be connecting to my phone. It never advances from the connecting screen (screenshot), and seems to give up when I navigate to different menus. This is probably due to the current state of my phone. Lastly, I downloaded Odin v1.85, but the flashing failed with a similar error (screenshot). I hope you have more ideas.
IT WORKED!! (screenshot) I don't know what's changed since the last time I tried it; why is Odin so inconsistent? Regardless, thank you to Droid8Apple, and XDA forums. There is a lot for me to learn in unlocking the potential of my android device.

You have to make sure Kies is disabled before using Odin, it'll cause Odin to either not recognise or fail.

Thank you for the advice; I'll certainly remember that. By disabled do you mean simply closed (clicking the red "X" at the top right), or is there something further I need to do like kill processes in the task manager, for example?
Any chance anyone can Dropbox me a link to the latest pit file? Much appreciated.

I spent a few days going through all threads - this one included.
The PIT he listed fails when flashing through Odin - tried with 1.85 and "v3" which seem to be the two most used on the forums.
I tried both the file listed here http://invisiblek.chickenkiller.com/pits/ and the one attached as "out.pit" in the thread directly.
With Odin3, it doesn't fail - it just hangs indefinitely on "Initialization".
OK……Thanks All.…

dude, odin says whatever you want it to - it's just a crap ini file with a title field:
and you're right about it being an L-720 (Galaxy S4) file - but actually it was just mislabeled and I didn't bother fixing it. the other copies I downloaded of CF's auto root didn't work either.
I do have the stock recovery, and tried flashing that, but it didn't work either.
It just doesn't want to write the PIT partition for some reason.

Just use the .PIT at same Time with PDA to Full Fix!

Just use the .PIT at same Time with PDA to Full Fix! I don't know why you want to repartition and then try to fix. Just do all the job in a single step. Odin knows how to manage all files in a single shot. You literally can full brick a phone if you create partition without any data FYI! I tested this with a phone I know I can recover using JTAG and in some models if you write .PIT alone even without reboot you loose recovery.img & Download Mode and then gave error on second attempt to write PDA so you can kill the unit because you can lost recovery and download access remaking partition alone without any data on PDA which have recovery & download modes disable writing .PIT alone.

I am having a little trouble on getting this Note 4 to take a flash of a stock image using ODIN.
The phone was doing an OTA update when the battery got too low and crashed it. I downloaded the stock ANJ5 firmware
and flashed that back to the phone using ODIN. everything seemed to be fine. The phone started to lose signal after the flash. So I supposed the modem needed to be flashed again. I wiped data/cache and I downloaded the BOG5 firmware and attempted to flash the firmware again. I doesn't go through. I get 'RQT_CLOSE, Complete(Write) operation failed' for ODIN and get 'SW REV CHECK FAIL : [tz]Fused 2 > Binary 1' response on the Note 4. I have downloaded multiple Verizon stock firmwares, but they all fail with an (AUTH) response.
I read that sometimes a pit file will help with the flashing process but I am unable to find one. If there is a pit file available for this Note 4 I would be ever greatful for someone to make it available to me. If there is another way to get the Note 4 to take a flash without the pit file, I would appreciate the information as well.
thx!

Once you take a LP5.01 update you can not flash the Note 4 anymore. Use Verizon Repair Assistant to fix and update the phone now.

Using the Verizon repair assistant was my first thought. Unfortunately, when I log on to my verizon online account the repair assistant is not available for download. The software I got from the phone before it was flashed, does not work. If you could point me in the direction of a working install of the verizon repair assistant for the windows OS it would help a bunch.
I managed to get a co-workers note 4 and installed the Repair Assistant tool from the cd drive that is mounted for 5 seconds before it goes to MTP mode. I started the repair process and I even copied the ALL_VZW_N910VVRU2BOG5_N910VVZW2BOG5_CL5119222_QB5848840_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar file for others in the event it is needed. (I will zip it of course) It started up the first time I let the repair tool finish (YAY!), but it now says SECURE FAIL: Modem, Start Up Failed. since this is a new problem, I will have to start more googling until I can get some info on this situation. I ran the repair operation twice. just in case. I will update when I have something else to tell.
**UPDATE** I pulled the modem.bin from the BOG5 firmware and tar.md5'd it. I used Odin to load it, but I still got the same error. So I pulled the modem.bin from the BOAF firmware and tar.md5'd it, (since it is still 5.0 lollipop) ran Odin to load it, but still got the SECURE FAIL: Modem Start Up failed message. I know not to flash anything ANJ5 or before as this is all 4.4 KK stuff and will brick the phone.
I am not able to find too much information on the SECURE FAIL: (fill in blank) phenomenon using google. but I have not given up. if anyone has any extra information that could help, I am willing to give it a try. thx

Im a new noob but I run a repair shop and a customer brought me a sm-910v and it boots to the verizon screen and then secure fail:modem also. Im not sure if it was rooted and i cant tell if the bootloader is locked but odin wont flash anything can you help me?
I did flash the Note 4 using ODIN after taking the LP5.01 update. The fixes that I am implementing use Odin for flashing the device. After the first and second Verizon repair assistant attempt, I used Odin to flash the BOG5 image and used the pit from the tar, and checked repartition hoping that would fix it. The Note 4 took the flash, but it left me with the same error.
My next repair vector is creating update.zip files and installing them through the recovery option "apply update from external storage." What is really weird with this situation is KNOX has not been tripped in the bootloader screen. unless I am misunderstanding the display.
when i try to boot anything in recovery mode i get dm-verity verification failed.......
I have not encountered the error you have mentioned. Have you researched to find out what it is?
Callooh! Callay!
My Verizon SUA/SRA called home and downloaded an update. I managed to intercept the update in the temp folder and pulled the .msi package before the update finished and deleted itself.
So I have a working, installable .msi Verizon SUA/SRA install package that I can make available.
it is version 2.15.1002

I DID IT! I have the phone working again. I did some research, reading other forum posts to see if I could find a clue, or something else to try. I did research for a friend of mine and stumbled upon this here at xda. this is something COMPLETELY different but I used the steps to my benefit. step 3 says to use Odin, turn off auto reboot, and flash the image. then reboot the phone in download mode and flash it again this time allowing it to reboot. I did this using the ALL_VZW_N910VVRU2BOG5_N910VVZW2BOG5_CL5119222_QB5848840_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar file I acquired from Verizon SRA but to no avail. I remembered that the one I used to flash in the first place was N910VVRU2BOG5_StockRestore.tar.md5. so I flashed the stockrestore image first, turned off auto reboot, let it throw the error, then I flashed the official image I got from Verizon SRA. BINGO! turned right on and everything came up.
I made a phone call and it worked. the only thing I couldn't get to work consistently was the data. it would bounce from 4G to 3G to 1x. I would change it from global to cdma/lte to lte/utms/gsm and it would work sporadically. I got better service using global. the other two options did not work very well.
Mod Edit: Content removed and thread closed.
Looks like I am not done yet... For some reason flashing to a WW firmware will cause loss of IMEI + BT/WIFI MAC's and also the sound. Something to do with the RIL? Instead of flashing to a WW Firmware I flashed a few custom ROM's and while my IMEI / Baseband remained intact I still lost my BT/WIFI Mac Addresses along with all sound.
Looking for a way to repair all now. Hopefully I can modify some files and not need to reflash everything all over again. Anyone else ran into this with this handset?
Great Simeón started the task.
I do still have this phone as a paperweight.
But mine is really hardbricked. I tried flashing other raw firmwares. And it has no fastboot mode anymore.
Boot stuff and bootloaders has to be fixed and I haven't found the compatible files to write

Ok I recovered the MAC's/Sound etc and edited the steps. However now after a few reboots I seem to lose my MAC's again and the serial (unknown) is replaced by Medfield1534DD97. Both WiFi and BlueTooth still work though. You just have the random default generated MAC's. I can live with that as long as it works. Though if anyone can shed some light on this issue or anything else I would be extremely grateful.

What modes are you able to get into? I once lost fastboot mode but recovered it somehow. If you need any help / files let me know. I have backups, various versions of raw/update firmware, recoveries stock and custom and much more. All for this handset. Only thing I am lacking is the AT&T firmware or someones AT&T backup that actually works. I have a backup of AT&T system from someone here but I could never get it to work after flashing the WW firmware.
Hello
No modes
Only one mode I dont know how to name it.
It is like Qualcomm 9008 on Qualcomm phones.
Got it?

I understand. I have never seen that before for intel. Can you tell me the mode it says or show a screen shot of device manager?

On phone screen you only see a USB Logo with a white bar.
I use XFSTK program to flash the phone in this mode.
You see cloverview Plus device on Device manager
and you need IFWI, FW DNX, OS DNX, OS Image files in order to bring back Fastboot mode.
These files are digitally signed, so, you need the right ones

Ok yeah im familiar with that. I didn't brick my phone that bad so I didn't have to use XFSTK. I do have a tutorial on it though from XDA and the program saved in case I ever need to use it. Where are you getting all the RAW firmware that includes every .bin file? All the RAW firmware files I have don't include but a few of them. Here is a good XDA link on XFSTK - (cant find it saved, but if you search our forum for the Zenfone 2 here you should come across it. Here is another that details the process for a different model but the process with the right files should work on our handset - https://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/unbrick-vid-tutorial-restore-serial-t3411064
Have you tried using Asus Flash Tools? I know it requires fastboot but in some circumstances it is actually up and running you just might not know it. I have a paid software app tool that will force enable adb in Fastboot also. I can see how the process works. Maybe it will help your situation out. Get adb going so you can try other methods.
I have it almost all done.. carrier unlocked, rooted, bootloader unlocked, twrp installed, imei repaired, mac and bt repaired (well on generated default right now) RR installed and modded some. Just have to finish modding and dbl check on serial/wifi/bt then it is out to a client.
BTW I found a way to input unlock code on custom ROM then revert back to WW firmware then mod imei and return to custom ROM unlocked! Actually might have found a way with the service firmware to totally unlock it permanently without need of a code! Too bad I don't have another one of these handsets locked else I would try the method again to see if indeed it was what i think or if it was from previous entry of unlock code. I'm putting my money on the DEV firmware used and the IMEI repair process of mine.
Not bad looking!

I ended up formatting the / config and / factory partition by mistake. Do I need to restore to / config either or just the / factory already? If you need / config, would you like to make it available?
