Bootloop, cant enter recovery, wont stay in download mode - Nexus 5X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I need some help here. This is my wife's phone and she does absolutely nothing with it besides use it as a phone. I had an April version of Pure Nexus running on it because it was stable. All of a sudden today, I noticed it bootlooping up to the Google logo, then it restarts again. I was able to get TWRP to flash for a few seconds, then it rebooted again. I tried following this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/help/unbrick-nexus-5x-t3438133 but cannot get the phone to stay in download mode for more than 10 seconds, nor does the computer recognize it (I am using a Nexus 6p cable). I am at a loss here, any help would be great.

[Q] BRICKED! Bootloop VZW HELP!

Dear XDA,
I have tried all I can to fix this problem. Let me explain how it all started.
I was using my phone normally, running the same custom rom ive been running for the past 6 months. I went to turn on wifi then turned off the screen. Later when i went to check my phone the screen would not turn on, so i performed a battery pull. After that i saw the normal google boot screen and then the custom rom boot screen. It stayed on that screen for a few seconds and then went back to the google boot screen. It then did this over and over, ive left it on for an hour once and it kept doing the same thing. Only way to stop this is with battery pull.
So what can i do with the phone:
I can access fastboot
I can access download mode
What have i tried:
I tried the following methods:
1) Flashing a Back Up
2) Wiping data, flashing a rom and gapps
3) fastboot adb http://rootzwiki.com/topic/13819-how-tovzw-return-to-factory-state-unroot-and-relock/
4) ODIN http://rootzwiki.com/topic/27050-vzwodin-files-needed-for-odin-winstructions/
The same issue continues even after successfully completing these methods. Im now down to my last strand and hoping the great xda community can help me.

Fastboot seems the best solution to me. What exactly went wrong? Also you could try a OMAP flash.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA Premium HD app
To be honest I have no idea what happened. It happened out of no where didn't flash a new rom or anything. OMAP flash? Never heard of it but I'll definitely look into it and try it. I've tried fastboot method and still got the same problem sadly
Really hoping this isn't a hardware issue
I just tried an OMAP Flash and still have the same problem. Ive moved on to a new phone but I still want to get this one working. Any other ideas to fix this problem?
Got into the same problem as yours. I googled around, and most people fix this problem by flashing stock image. Basically wipe your phone clean, e.g system, data, cache etc. and then flash in the stock image u downloaded from google website throught fastboot mode. I tried that method, but my phone is still stuck in bootloop. You can give it a try and see if it works

fastboot help verizon lg g3

Hello, I just got my g3 and decided to root it. I used stump root to do that, then installed twrp. I flashed the latest cyanogenmod rom and everything was good. this morning i opened the phone and now get a loop of
unfortunatly the process phone has stopped
I looked it up and the fix seems to be flashing the boot img to my phone via fast boot.
this is where I am having isues. i have fast boot on my computer, but I am not able to get my phone into fastboot mode, I tryed holding vol up while plugging in the usb, but that just turned the phone on normally. I tryed a few other things that I really don't remember, but now I can get the phone to a screen that says Firmware Update. butfast boot wont recognize my phone is there when I type fastboot devices. please help, I'm not very good with this so any instructions need to be dumbed down and maybe a pic of what my phone screen should look like would help

S4 Mini doesn't turn on after restart (l9195)

Hello everyone, so I've ran into a big issue and need your help.
So I've been using my phone when the apps just started crashing normally (I run LineageOS 03/13 build so it's not perfect yet). I decided to restart my phone and after that it just doesn't want to work any longer. I can't access Recovery Mode, when I try to turn it on or plug it into charging literally nothing happens, phone just vibrates and that's it. It doesn't even show the boot screen where it says Galaxy S4 Mini. I can however access Download Mode. I've tried to install stock firmware through Odin but it's just stuck I don't know what happened.
I hope some of you could help me out. Thanks in advance.

Nexus 5x bootloop, can't enter recovery mode

I rooted this phone via superSU some months ago, then removed it because it didn't meet my expectations, now after i woke up today I can't use it at all and it's just stuck in a bootloop. When I try starting recovery mode it just puts it into the google logo and doesn't do anything. What the hell can I do? I BADLY need this phone to work within a day because I'm leaving for a trip. Please help. I'll also note that when I connect the phone to my computer while in bootloader I hear the "device connected" sound but I see nothing connected and I don't know what I should be looking for.
http://www.wugfresh.com/nrt/ Nexus Root Toolkit v2.1.9 (yes somewhat out of date but it will get your phone running).
Just get your phone into bootloader (pwr on + vol down key).
You can install a stock rom and get your phone usable, and re-root if you want.

Nexus 5X DEAD/Bootloop

My Nexus 5x that was running 8.1 just randomly turned off yesterday and won't boot into android. Sometime later i tried to turn it back on and it worked and it turned off by itself 2 mins later. i somehow manged it to get into fastboot mode and I then unlocked the bootloader and flashed the stock firmware . But that did not help at all , in fact the phone was now completely dead and it only goes into fastboot sometimes while the other times it being stuck in a bootloop . while luckily when it went into fastboot, i have tried installing different boot images like boot4core but it still wont do anything its really weird, sometimes it doesn't respond to any key combination while sometimes it would go normally into fastboot. Need help , i Have no clue!! plzzz
Same Problem here! Running 8.1 and tap Uppdate Chrome and Alexa App, that the Phone freez and Reboot. After reboot he try to load the apps but freez. Now it wont boot to system and recovery say no command. When i now will enter Recovery the Phone reboots.
No open bootloader and no root. Stock 8.1 Rom from Google
Edit: Try to start Phone in Secure Mode (When Google Logo Popps up press Volume -) Say the System is Corrupt and do a Factory Reset. After Reset the Phone stuck on Boot too
Edit Edit: OK think thats the CPU Hardware Bug. Phone dont start anymore...

My daughters phone just started doing the same thing this morning. Haven't gone through any tests yet, but it is constantly restarting. Can't get it to go into recovery through normal means.
