I've spent all day trying to get my M8 (Sprint)unrooted and back to stock. I followed countless tutorials that involved locking the bootloader then running the RUU installer. Everything usually works up until i have to use the RUU, which always fails. I've tried a ton of different versions that all say they're for the sprint m8 but they always have an error and say to get the correct rom or something like that.
Any help is much appreciated

Before I begin, let me say I did see this thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/vzw-m8-bricked-s-off-unlocked-hboot-t2857007, however it is now several months old and received no responses. I'm not sure whether or not I should have bumped that one or made this one, sorry if I shouldn't have.
So basically, I was running DigitalHigh's Lollipop GPE rom, which I had been running for what feels like forever now without any issues, suddenly the phone reboots, when it does it reboots to androids on skateboards and will not boot into the system. It reboots and now both RADIO and OpenDSP both report INVALID_VER_INFO. Every RUU I try fails with FAIL-PU.

Do you have TWRP installed, and decided to use it to wipe everything (or at least wipe "system") in Advanced wipe options?
Here's my Getvar all-

No matter whatever HTC Sense based custom ROM I install, the wifi never seems to work. If I select Airplane mode and then deactivate it, there's a message in the bottom saying : Fail to load divers(1).
Even the bluetooth works fine! Just the wifi!
I am using TWRP 2.7.0.2
Is the problem because of the bootloader? If it is, please direct me with the steps to the solution. Thanks
Those are outdated firmware & twrp you have there.
1. Relock bootloader and install this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=64926626&postcount=6
2. After 1 is done, unlock bootloader again
3. Install latest TWRP 3.x.x-x
4. Install any ROM that you like

Thanks for the help, man! I really appreciate that! You're so freakin' awesome! Love you! You solved my problem!
Hello everyone,
I have tried to fix this problem for a day and a half. I have read similar issues with other people but I still have not found a solution. A unique thing I noticed is that when I perform fastboot getvar all, my IMEI actually shows up, BUT on my phone it does not under "about" in settings.
Things I have tried:
- full wipe and revert back to stock
- reflashing the hboot
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 3.19.0.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 1.29.214500021.11G

Fixed:

- flashed the latest AT&T firmware.zip

I will appreciate any help.
your device is converted to GPE
here is the latest GPE RUU
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24588212152305922
from this thread, visit the thread and read how to flash and don't forget to leave a thanks for the developers at this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708589
I have downloaded and install RUU using fastboot, and I do factory reset from bootloader. It is still stuck in boot screen, all I can get is four circles which are spinning constantly and it will not proceed further. Its not allowing me to post links with pictures.
It is exactly four circles as in this video, except mine will remain forever stuck on them.
