I know this is kind of weird post but hope someone will help. I am xperia m user for 3 years now and my battery is at critical level right now. Phone shuts down at 30%. I want to ask if anybody has ordered new battery in past and please provide a link to buy because there are number of fake batteries out there.

I ordered from ebay a month ago. there are many cheap batterys to find over there
buy from local sony store, most of the online store's batteries are fake... fake means lower life span, will hardly survive 3 months,, with poor battery back up... i returned 3 batteries after purchasing from various stores...

In sony care you need to order, and in sony world (Authorized retailer) it is available (if in stock)..
Though chances of getting battery without order is less, because nicki battery demand is less, most of the nicki dies before battery dies..
Well, it's been 3 months since I posted this question. I was unable to buy nicki battery for a cheap price. So instead I decided to buy 600 rs powerbank by which I can charge my nicki almost 4 times.

Here's two batteries from Mugen Powers, a 1800mAh and 3600 mAh. From my understanding, The 1800mAh will work with the original stock battery cover. And of course the 3600mAh, has the bulkier build. Here's some links for those interested.

Let us know how it works out. I'm curious if there are any heat issues associated with the larger-capacity battery.
I just bought the 1800mAh, but it will be shipped in 10 days and will take 10 more to arrive!
anybody got a 1800mah one yet? thinking of getting one but im not sure they are worth it, has anyone had a battery from these guys before?
Mugen is one of the best second party manufacturer for batteries! It's really quality, no Hongkong Crap.
Interesting, Ive always wondered about suposedly good aftermarket batteries. ....Mugen you say !
OEM batteries is the only option unless the battery is inbuilt. Why are people so gullible? The manufactures always uses the best cells for their phones as it is part of the features present, i.e. long talk/standby time.
I have a HD2 and bought two original batteries which were not from Ebay.

maybe its because the people who know they are no good are so patronising when they are saying such. Not everyone has knowledge of these things and not everyone has had experience of this before but thats no reason to talk down to them. Its logical that these batteries should be better, after all they are rated 400mah higher, if thats not the case then you cannot blame the person who buys it thinking it is.
After market batteries is not a new phenomena and people buying such batteries should have learned by others which have made those mistakes before. It does not matter if it says Mugen or whatever on the battery.
I bought a battery for SE P1 on Ebay for 3 GBP and the picture was showing the retail package. When I received the package it was a "Walkman" branded when P1 is a business phone. I filled a complaint and received my money back. I would never do it without PayPal covering the full amount. I knew it from the beginning, if it sounds to good to be true it is not.

no, but what about somebody doesnt know anything about battery tech, or somebody who simply bought their phone from and o2 shop and has never had experience of other people buying aftermarket batteries? how are they supposed to know?
i came into this thread asking questions because to me it seems a little too good too be true, i know very little about battery tech but i do know a fair bit about other areas. other people, even those on this site may not have the slightest clue other than 1800 is more than 1400 and to talk down to them because of this is very unfair.

£26+ for 400mAh more - seems a bit steep IMO.
Better to buy a second genuine BST-41 from SE - seen them for the same money all over the place:
For example: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EMARTBUY-GE...6?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1274285908&sr=1-6
and

So long as it arrives with SE logo and hologram on it, it's probably fine.

Not true. The P1 battery from Ebay did have a hologram but when comparing against the original battery there was a visible difference.
Mugen 3600 mAh battery
I got my 3600mAh battery on Friday and it works great! 5% drain an hour even with heavy useage. I can go the whole day without charging and still have 30% before I go to bed, beats the OG battery which I had to charge 2 times a day which sucked...
I'm personally a bit skeptical to 3rd party batteries, but I would like to have a 3600mha battery, the added thickness is not a problem. But as far as I know there only available battery from Sony is the stock 1500mha battery?

Not for me.
My original 1500mAh battery was dead by 3.30-4pm after taking it off charge at 8.30am and that was with moderate use. Its been dead by 2pm before now.
Got my 1800mAh Mugen battery and i can take it off charge at 8.30am and have it still on 40% at 5pm after heavy use during my lunch hour.
It does work much better
Saw an eBay auction for the Mugen battery set up by "Mugen Battery".
Read the lower lines and they want to add 19% VAT after the sale is completed to all EU buyers by sending you a separate bill for the VAT (totally against eBay rules)!
What a bunch of shysters!

Hi all
Does anyone know where i can find a legit replacement battery for my phone. I look at amazon and they either look too cheap or have terrible reviews. Where can i get official batteries for about 20 pounds or less. I live in the UK.
Thanks
"Craftmann" makes not bad batteries. Check this.
Do you have a link? I heard that only the oem battery was recommended.
I bought it directly from Samsung. There was a review on a german site, which showed that 12 out of 12 batteries from amazon were faked ones.

i just replaced my battery with the oem one although i bought it for like 9€ from a local shop.
although it lasts a bit longer, when it gets to around 30% then its no more stable and it will possible have the the usual behaviour we all know dropping instantly to 20-10% in minutes etc...
anyways....is there something we have to do when we replace a battery? Are there and battery stats or something that we have to reset or tickle so that Android will "learn" the new installed battery is in place?

anyone has any 1900mah battery to suggest please?
Not looking for extreme capacities and stuff, but one that you have tested and behaves just like or close to when we all had the original battery that came with the phone.
Someone recommended the Deji battery but there is no way on earth i can find somewhere else than this Turkish shop
I have been on TechOrbits battery bought at Amazon.com for about two weeks now and am satisfied with it. They have warranty, so if the battery bloats (which happened to the previous eBay knock-off in just one year) I could get it replaced.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M5EK96F/
i would really go down and get this one
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/39677-of...-1900mah-standard-battery-Reviews.htm#reviews
judging by so many positive comments i think its the safest bet so far, so many fakes....i bought one for 8€ and it sucks badly.its getting close to the performance my 3year old official battery had.
Having lost my original battery and having to rely on a cheap ebay battery I thought I'd try mobilefun. THey shipped immediately, battery arrived in what looked like official Samsung packaging. So far so good, battery lasts much longer than my cheap ebay option and probably longer than my original battery but I dont have any stats to back that up. Battery discharge is slow and steady unlike the cheap ebay option which I've found tends to drop off a cliff when it drops below 15%. I can confirm that NFC works as well. Still early days but the signs look promising.
There are genuine Samsung batteries on eBay, the best bet is listings that include a photo of the packaging. A seller that is closer to home is preferred as well (if your home is not China or Hong Kong, anyway).

I have the same behavior as well with my 1900 mA battery although I bought it from an official store for around 27 USD.
This behavior appeared only few months after purchase.
Now the battery charges in 2 hours and 5 minutes and lasts for 6 or 7 hours only (normal usage).

My original battery is dead, she worked for a long time, she deserves peace. The problem is founding a new one!
I bought one from ebay but it's REALLY bad. Do I have to throw out my loved S4 mini cause there are no adequate replacements avalible? Someone knows a good place to buy it in 2020?
On my side I'm using a battery from Gadfull (can be found on amazon in some EU country). I've been using one for almost 3 years and for 2.5 years the capacity was good. I will get a new one this week.

Firstly, there's no "Original" battery for Xperia ZL anywhere in India (If Sony service center's in India cannot manage to get one.. How can anyone expect to get it in other markets? [emoji14] ).
That being said you'll have to rely on non-oem batteries (will not be original...whatever their claim ).
I had replaced my battery with one of the battery I found at ebay.in by this seller Battery and Seller Info.....it's working fine uptill now for me .(may or may not work for you, don't blame me for anything [emoji14])
Do keep in mind one more thing... Non-oem batteries will never last same as the original one did. If you're lucky enough the battery will be "just fine".
It shows product not available. Kindly send other link bro.thanks.
i recently switched to a polarcell which works very well. maybe consider one of those instead?
Whats is polarcell? Link pls!
I think this is the polarcell: http://www.ebay.ca/sch/i.html?_odkw...id=m570.l1313&_nkw=sony+zl+polarcell&_sacat=0
^yep that's the one.
In India any?
Sadly nobody sells original batteries, and Chinese batteries are cheap but crap. Mine from Aliexpress never charges to 4.2 volts, instead it reaches 100 when voltage is 4.09 and then around 30% it drops dead. They of course advertise them as original

Did you have help ?
I wouldn't buy a battery that is 1.5 years old. Check the date of manufacture, and if it doesn't have one, don't buy it!

Any idea about trouble ?
Thanks for help
The battery is fully dead now.. It won't turn on.. You probably getting 2 times vibrations while putting on wall charger..
I've been facing this issue a while submitted to service center they replaced the battery.
Fix; you need to navigate to asus service center and buy a original battery from there will be a good idea.
If replacing battery DIY style, make sure it comes from reputable source. Got mine from ebay, advertised as better than original.
Although it holds charge for a day I must not overcharge it, see screenshot.
It gets to 100℅ Then in 5mins drops to 50/25/12/0 and powers off. missed my alarm multiple times now haha

Yep, I paid $15 on eBay for this battery. I've only had it for a couple of weeks, but my SOT doubled (went from <2 hours to being >4 hours), and my quick charge works again (on last battery, it stopped working).
The battery is slightly different from my original one (model # wasn't exactly the same, and the version # of the adapter on the battery wasn't the same). It was kind of a pain in the ass to install, but it still worked after I installed it.
I can't promise that you'll have the same experience, but the seller is highly rated and there is a 30-day return period.

This is so god damn expensive, the shipping to US costs as much as the battery costs.
Has anyone had a good experience with an eBay or AMazon seller?
Hello everyone, Is there a way to know how much actual capacity (mah) is available on my zenfone ze550ml battery?
The AccuBattery app claims to calculate the actual capacity of your battery (mah) and the more charging cycles you make the better the accuracy of the estimation (although, judging from my case, the estimation does not change a lot after the first cycle)
I had my battery replaced while in Taipei for a cost of NTD 1000 (about USD 30) including labor. The Asus service center in Taipei wanted the phone for 3 days; they recommended a shop that did it in 90 minutes. The shop claimed it was an OEM battery, but it seems to discharge more quickly. On the other hand, it doesn't suddenly die with 30-40%.

Shortly, there is no new, original battery on the market besides official channels of sales. Contact with LG and buy new battery if you still want to use that phone.
New one costs about 25€.
From my experience: i bought 7 new batteries through last 9-10 months. Various sellers, everyone said their battery was original. I tested them and there were always same bugs. Fast discharging, huge drops in %, no temperature sensor support. I returned everything and told each buyer that they are selling fake "original" products. They denied but accepted return.
After that i bought new battery from LG in Poland. White font on front surface, normal holes for screws (not like in these fake ones where outer edge is very tiny), temp sensor works fine. I also checked it with tester and it had 2080 mAh. I did factory reset and after that my phone is like brand new. So i recommend not to buy any battery on ebay, aliexpress or anywhere else. Save your time and buy new battery from LG. It's very expensive but worth if you plan to use E975 for more than a year or so.
