Dose anyone else have it where your Bluetooth ear buds don't have a battery bar on the top of the notification center or is that only a problem with my device. If it's the oxygen os it's self could anyone code something that I can flash into it. It just makes everything easier when it's there oh and an uninstaller if it doesn't work properly thank you
CyanogenMod supports the Bluetooth device battery indicator, but stock OOS does not. It's a wonderful feature that I hope will be added in the near future!

Keep in mind that the camera quality is not nearly as good on CyanogenMod compared to OOS. It's the only reason why I'm not using it now.

HTC Sense
I'm a bigger fan of HTC Sense. I notice the battery life is better, and reception is better. I'm also big on using the home button for the home menu by long pressing, and google now by swiping up. I haven't found a way to get the functionality on AOSP. And the camera interface is better in Sense
Does anyone know who our maintainer is? Just curious who I should be stalking on twitter/G+. Curious to see how well this thing performs on AOSP.
I would Twitter g+ would be the place to look

I would also be curious to see CM on the G3, but this is the first phone I've had that didn't make me want to flash another rom right away. Xposed + G3 TweakBox + Nova Launcher makes it just about perfect imo.

Perhaps so, but
1. That says more about Touchwiz than anything.
2. This is my first LG smartphone, so I have no other frame of reference to compare, and the G3 UI is actually tolerable. Which is more than I can say for most of the other phones I've owned.
Just my $0.02

Yeah I own almost every phone that comes out.... currently I own the M8, One plus One and G3 from the android side. I keep switching between all three and still I can't pick a clear winner since they all are awesome to use it on a daily basis. From the LG side this is the first phone I actually like and planning to keep for little long because their previous UI was horrible and cartoonish and this one feels so much better polished. As far as the S5 and touchwiz I couldn't tolerate the damn thing even for a week.

Yeah I bought a OnePlus One from craigslist but I have not opened it yet...I am waiting for the screen cover to arrive. Plus, the G3 does everything I want it to do. I may flip the OPO, I haven't decided yet. I'm just not as hard up for It since I got the G3.

yes buy switching to CM + Custom kernel, you will achieve better battery life no doubt.

Is that true about the battery life? I'm not trying to troll, just wanna get another's opinion on this. Every phone I've owned I've flashed CM on, but I don't think I've ever actually gotten extra battery life from it.

You can potentially get a few extra minutes with a custom kernel, but battery life is primarily determined by usage habits, which varies with each person.

Well. I had the m9 so that left a very bad battery experience. I may have a bad. M10 cause the camera only focuses about a quarter of the time and also flashes the whatever thing is blocked when my finger is no where near it

That can be easily fixed by a software update. From my experience, lg ui isn't very good and sometimes lags over time like touchwiz. Htc sense is the closest to stock Android fluidity

Definitely check if you're updated. This was a known issue with the earlier builds but seems to have subsided for most people.
One thing to keep in mind is that it'll be easier to use custom ROMs at least in the near future since the G5 only just achieved root.

Sorry don't know if they have a thread for this already, but has any one tried getting a port for this? Nav bars are really boring and the xda nav gesture really don't feel legit. Can someone point me in the right direction.
Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Android pie still has a nav bar, unless I'm misunderstanding. I'm coming from a pixel 2 to an s9 and if that's what you're referring to, you aren't missing much trust me. The stock pie gestures are pretty terrible in my opinion, and Samsung's pie implementation of them is going to be better since you will actually gain that screen real estate back.
I'm still yet to find a gesture app that feels legit. I've tried many, they all feel terrible. I've used a iPhone X for a few days and those gestures feel incredible, that's what we need. At least Apple got that right.
Yeah the pie gesture nav idk I think it look dope and would like to simple I know that Samsung has the finger gestures through one hand mode but since I'm on the alpha build it doesn't work.

Just curious.. my g3 n the oneplus 5t have a bunch of 9.0 roms that i just noticed, n we just have 1 (barely). Im just wondering if we only have 3 current devs? Cause the 5t is almost the same hardware except the screen. Would it be possible to port some of those roms if our developement is struggling?
This isnt me demanding dev work its just weird this is my first phone that doesnt have choices [emoji21] and really want a v40 buti dont want the same thing to happen there

Yea the g3 had a lot of overheating problems but the newest desperate attempt fixed it. Holding a lighter under mobo for 15-20 seconds then a slight press. Its worked for abit so far but havnt been really using it.
