Hi
I just flashed a Custom Rom (Pure Nexus) with my custom recovery TWRP when I found out that the Custom Rom had deleted almost everything on my phone. The only apps left on it is: Downloads, Settings, Contacts, Calculator and Phone. Because of that I went to Recovery Mode and tried to recover the stock rooted backup that I had made before flashing the Pure Nexus custom rom when it started booting up at around 20% but got stuck on the Nexus logo. I tried to get back into recovery mode and recover again to see if it would work that time but same thing happened.
I'm really not sure what to do especially because I can't use any browser to download a new rom or something like that.
If any of you have a solution please reply and if you have same problem please try to upvote this. :good:

I rooted my phone with Odin and installed cyanogenmod 10.2 for the n5110. Everything went perfect and I then installed Google Apps and it all ran perfect. I had a backup I saved from twrp from before I installed cyanogenmod and when I used twrp to recover it I think I recovered the system too. Now it boots to the Samsung splash that glows and won't do anything else. I can get it to go to download mode and Odin sees it. I tried to flash twrp to make it pop up but it goes straight to the Samsung splash again(before I knew about being able being able to boot straight to recovery mode). I heard you can flash it back to stock? What should I do?
Well you shouldnt try to restore a backup from a different rom especially if the backup is from a samsung based rom onto a AOSP based rom.
As far as what you should do. Boot directly into recovery using volume up+power button+home button and then u can either flash back to cyanogenmod or go back to the rom that you used to make the recovery.
If your phone won't boot into recovery you can always flash back to stock and start over. This involved ODIN+stock rom for your particular device there is a list at http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-N5110. Make sure you pick the correct one that came with your device originally ideally.
When you restore a backup, you have to restore everything including system and boot. Especially if you are switching between touchwiz and aosp. Try flashing a touchwiz kernel since the aosp kernel won't work with a touchwiz rom, and if you didn't restore the kernel or boot.img then that's why your boot failed.

I have a real frustrating problem with my Canadian Rogers Note 3. I'm rooted and running CM11, but I was looking for a ROM that might be more stable than the nightly builds. I wanted to try a TW-based ROM so I downloaded BobCat, JediElite, and FireNote ROMs.
I copied the ROMs to the SD card, booted into CWM Recovery and tried flashing one of them (don't remember which). The installation seemed to go fine, no error messages or warnings. But when I finished and rebooted the phone just stopped at the Note 3 boot screen. No boot animation, no loading, nothing.
I went back to CWM Recovery, tried the other two ROMs, and got the exact same results. Then I tried flashing the stock Rogers Note 3 ROM. CWM refused to flash it and spat out some garbage about a corrupt zip file (re-downloaded it with the same results). I eventually gave up and restored the CM11 image I'd backed up.
At this point I began to reason maybe CWM wasn't suited to installing TW ROMs, so I decided I needed TWRP instead. Goog.Im and TWRP manager both refused to install TWRP however. So I dropped the TWRP Recovery zip on my SD card and tried flashing it using CWM.
Here’s where it gets really freaky. When my phone rebooted I got a "recovery booting" message, but the recovery never loaded. The screen just froze at the Note 3 logo. If I pulled the battery the phone would again display "recovery booting" and sit there endlessly. The only way I could break the cycle was booting to Download Mode, then exiting so it enters a normal ROM boot.
I let the phone boot up fully and then opened ROM Manager. It showed TWO recoveries installed, one CWM and one TWRP, apparently side by side. Is this even possible???
So anyway, I went back to playing around between ROM Manger, Goo.Im, and TWRP Manger, trying to re-flash it to either CWM or TWRP, but not both. Nothing worked; every time I tried booting to recovery the system would hang at the “recovery booting” message.
I eventually tired of this and decided to get out Odin. I flashed TWRP Recovery successfully (according to Odin), but it still won’t launch. I then tried flashing CWM Recovery with the same results.
So completely out of options, I tried flashing the stock Samsung Recovery. It boots just fine. So I try again flashing the custom recoveries, but they still refuse to launch. Each time I have to reinstall Samsung Recovery.
And that’s where I am currently: I have a (badly) working CM11 nightly ROM on my phone. I have the stock Samsung Recovery installed. I’m afraid to try flashing any zips using Samsung Recovery because my backup image was created using CWM, and if I can’t get CWM recovery to work I won’t be able to restore the backup.
Have I broken some law of the universe by trying to go from CWM to TWRP? Would TWRP work better with TouchWiz ROMs? And can I even install TouchWiz ROMs after hacking my phone to CM11 nightlies? Lastly, how can I get this $#@& Samsung Recovery off my beautiful phone and install a working custom recovery?
Dear All,
Here's the problem:
The Goal: To Install CM-12.1 Custom ROM
What I have done:
1. Installed TWRP Recovery Manager and no matter how many times I tried, was unable to install TWRP Recovery
2. Installed Flashify, not possible to install TWRP, CWM or any other recovery!
3. Installed Rashr and finally was able to get PhilZ Touch 6 Recovery installed on the phone.
Rebooted to recovery and it's working! Great!
Now, I have the CM-12.1 zip file on the external SD card but can't flash the ROM no matter how many times I try. Yes, I did wipe factory reset and all the wipes possible, NOT ABLE TO INSTALL the Custom ROM.
The real problem now is that before I tried installing the custom ROM, I accidentally made a mistake, a really bad one too.
When my phone was starting normally, in Flashify (or Rashr, I don't remember now) I selected the downloaded TWRP recovery image for Kernel and rebooted the phone. Yes, a dumb move, I know, but for some stupid reason I did that! And now the phone won't start!!!
Getting this msg:
Set Warranty Bit: kernel
Plus, when I boot into Philz Touch 6 recovery, not able to install ROM or do anything else either.
I managed to install Aroma File Manager, and deleted some of the twrp recovery images, but still getting the kernel error.
Also, in Philz Touch recovery, I have done something wrong and I think I may have lost ROOT access. Tried several times to Re-Root Super SU but it says now install Super SU from the Market. How can I install Super SU from market if I cannot get the phone to start in the first place.
Anyway, if anyone knows how to fix these issues or has experienced similar problems, please share the steps you took to solve the problem.
All the help is appreciated!
Thanks vey much in advance!!!
P.S. Please write in comments if any screen capture is needed.
BOOTLOOP!
If anyone can, please help, I can't use my phone for over a week now!!!
the phone is stuck in bootloop!
the recovery I was using apparently wasn't the right version for my gt-i9192 and for some stupid reason it thought that my phone is gt-i9190!!! i was using twrp 3.0.0.0 serrano3gxx by the way. and i could not install the custom rom, the right rom for gt-i9192... because the recovery thinks my phone is gt-i9190... stupid right
so i installed openrecovery-twrp-2.8.7.0-serranodsxx-STABLE-signed zip file using the twrp recovery itself. and now i can't even go to recoery mode!!! WOW!! I think i ****ed up this phone big time!!!
i know there was a warning to not install the recovery using the recovery itself, but i didn't have a choice.
i did that because Odin is not working for my phone!! can't install anything with odin...
it just gets stuck and never finishes the flash. can't install anything with odin, nothing at all. just gets stuck!!
so now the problem is this stupid bootloop and on top of that i can't even get the phone to start the recovery, when I try, it goes back to this bootloop problem. by the way this is the bootloop msg:
Set Warranty Bit : kernel IN YELLOW COLOUR and the phone logo: Samsung Galaxy S4 mini GT-I9192
So recently i flashed the new cyanogen 14.1 nightly rom but it said their was an update but after i installed it it tried to go into recovery and wouldnt start. I shut it down and it would only go into fastboot mode and show the boot image. after this i downloaded fastboot and adb files and a tool kit and it now boots into the actual rom but still not recovery. so how can i get the recovery to pop up? iv already tried to flash twrp again but it still didnt load. and i even flashed the stock recovery and still wouldnt boot up. if anyone knows a way i can fix my recovery it would help alot. :good:
I have exactly same problem as you k hope it's a problem with the new cyanogenmod 14.1 nightly if not may try to change the kernel? I'm looking around too
Same problem here.... I installed TWRP and Dirty Unicorns on my One Plus 3, but immediately had a host of problems (including home key not working). I then flashed the most recently nightly (cm-14.1-20161119-NIGHTLY-oneplus3.zip). It booted fine, but now I cannot get into recovery. Any attempt to boot into recovery will put me back at the unlock warning screen... The phone is functionally useless at this point, because it doesn't even have gapps on it.
How can I restore this phone to a usable state (i.e., enter recovery to allow flashing of gapps)?
official twrp doesnt work with community builds and cm 14.1. You have to use modified twrp 3.0.2-22. the link can be found easily in official cm 14.1 forum on xda.
Hi there! I've found this device from many years ago and from what I can remember I tried to root and install a new rom, but something happened. Now, when I want to switch it on always appear this screen:
http://imgur.com/FkLYEiL
Now I can go to fastboot mode, but it won't reboot normally, there is always that screen..
So, what I've to do now? Thank you for your time!
Possible solution?
I've had this too, simply install cwm via odin (twrp should work too but I've done this with cwm and succeeded so I recommend using that for now), then put a rom on your sd card and install it, or you can (after installing cwm) flash the stock firmware, simply look for your model of s4 mini on google for stock firmware and you should find it, update me with what you get.
