Need to complain to Niantic about this one. They need to do whatever they did with pokemon go to get it working.

Ingess just got an update today. Can you check on 6.0 if maybe the issues was fixed?

[Q] Occasional hang ups and force closes

Hi, i have had this problem about occasional hangups and fc's after the ota update, my ZL works for a few hours or minutes, then it just hangs or gets a force close issue on the home launcher or any other app open at the time. Ive had my zl for 4 days now and i restarted it about 20times already in the last 3 days.
Anyone have this same problem?

Nope, Haven't had this problem, which version of the zl do you have? Mine's c6502
edit: Might because of the update that you are having these problems, either factory reset your phone and see if that helps
Well as with phone reset after Any update..

rooting it before updating ota would have failed, so guessing you rooted after updating. Did you try factory resetting otherwise, you might need to flash stock build again....

Phone doesn't start after lollipop update

Hey guys,
My friend installed the new lollipop ota and his phone doesn't start normally anymore.
He says that some failure reports show up and that he might report the error/failure.
He has no rooted phone or something like that. He never tried.
What can he do? Ota installing manually from original recovery or such things like that?
Thanks guys

Send it for repairs. It is less than a year old and if he never rooted it is defective and his warranty is still good.

Yes, I think this is a Problem for Warrenty.
Try this first. Yesterday i resolved the problem by my self.
See http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/bootl-loop-lollipop-update-t3016142
BUT TRY WARRENTY FIRST.
Phone gives error reports when booted Help i don't know if I have the same problem but my HTC One m8 went ballistic after I tried to install lollipop. For reference I have a sprint (unconnected) Htc One m8 Harmon Karman edition with Ł launcher as a launcher. I went to settings and found an update. The update download and then installed. When the phone went to boot it booted then instead of taking me to the home screen, it took me to a white page with a loop of error reports of apps not working. I can't get into the phone at all. I tried to boot in recovery but that did nothing. Please help I'm desperate.

Definitely looks like 5.1.1 possibility!
I'm still on 4.4.4, this update is a hard decision because there is no downgrade...
But update your post an confirm it 5.1.1 after? Also would b nice to know the build number

will do....im using an att wifi location so the download is taking forever
I'm updating as well, I'm guessing its 5.1.1. T-mobile, however, announced they are already testing 6.0 for their devices including note 4
Failed the update.....going to advance the date on the phone and try the update again.

Quick question: does the 5.1.1 update include the theme store for the Note 4?

Oh well, I guess I should simply be happy we're finally getting the 5.1.1 update. Really wish it included the theme store though (especially since we can't root)...
Thanks for the quick reply omair :good:
Does I need to be on the US and use an ATT simcard to update? I've recently bought an att note4 and it's on transit to my country.
No firmware?
After the update my device still says update available, however, it says 5.1.1 under device info. When I press continue update, it flashes "no firmware" and the icon at the top of the notification bar shows the arrows in opposite directions as if its trying to update, but nothing is happening. Any ideas as to why this occurs? Im using att straight talk and never had any issues with updates prior. Thanks in advance.
update try #3 failed as well......oh well i will be nuking the phone and trying it again.
Just finished the 5.1.1 update - no issues & phone's responsiveness is great now.
For once, add me to the list of people whose update went off without a hitch & promised enhancements actually are there.
There was a bit of sluggishness after the first reboot after install, but I'm thinking that was due to some kind of initial indexing going on in the background.
Aside from that, all apps, including Android Pay are working as before and no lag in the Recent Apps button. Text scrolling is noticibly smoother, especially when scrolling, for example, the list of installed apps in App Manager.

Mine failed too at 1%, on reboot it said the update was interrupted. Same thing happened in the initial update to Lollipop. Going to go out on a limb and guess this is related to my phone being encrypted. Wiping the phone was the only way I could get that update to take. (The little interim ones did work for me). Sure makes me wise I could backup my phone with Titanium Backup like I used to.

Nougat 7.1.1 is rolling out!

Hey everyone, been a little while, but 7.1.1 N is rolling out to you guys.
Awesome! Is this the same 108 build that went out to beta testers?
Does it include the battery optimization that was mentioned some time ago?

No, I relocked it after I flashed the image and turned off the oem unlocking option after. I was previously rooted though, but the script on the image should have taken care of that right?

I figured it out, I had just came from Omni Rom. For some reason, I had to flash the 6.0 image then flash the 7.1.1 image and now everything passes, and AP works.

You had to re-lock your bootloader also, correct?
Is anybody having issues with sending text messages (your standard text message) with WiFi on? Not over WiFi, but just with WiFi on. I tried the default messaging app and the Google one. They both work the same. For me to get a text message out, I have to turn off WiFi.

Why don't you flash the latest factory image?
You can't flash an OTA update via custom recovery.
Loving this new update!
However, if you want to save resources and please your customers at the same time when doing the next update -
skip the nextbit bits.
Just make the next updates (if you plan on making any more of course) stock, for all intents and purposes, except perhaps for the backup/cloud feature.
revert back to 7.0 ?
since i updated to 7.1.1, my pebble 2 would constantly disconnect.
how to revert back to plan 7.0 ?
thanks!

I flashed some random zip file that I found online lol. Hopefully it's not malware. I also flashed a custom kernel. So far it is working ok. Hopefully it will continue
It started however, during the initial setup

I recommend you to flash the official firmware again and read about the zips properly before flashing them :good:
