I have hit the dreaded screen flickering issue, and using the folded paper trick think I can convince ATT that my phone is in tact enough for a tradein. The problem is I think I need to be on a non rooted ROM for them to accept me. I'm currently on Fulmics 6.1 and am trying to use the LGUP tool to get back to KK and out of root. LGUP wont recognize my phone with Fulmics, and Resurrection Rom had the same sort of problem. According the the LGUP thread I need a non customized ROM for it to work. I've searched all over and I can't find one for the D850. Does anyone know a ROM that should work?

Hello
So after foolishly updating to Marshmellow and discovering that all my apps no longer update in the background, i flashed my device to the LG G4 V10D-226-01 software version, the 10D Europe Open from the LG g4 "Go back to stock rom" thread.
Problem is, everytime i open my phone i get "Warning: Current version is not available for user. Cant find matched cust for Nt-code mcc/mnc[22601],subset[ff]. I have looked both on google and here and everything i found was for the G3 model and it involved using a "custom restore" image. but no explanation on how to use it, its not a KDZ so i cant flash it.
I'm pretty new to all this and everything i wanted was to go back to my Lollipop variant after seeing how Marshmellow behaved on my phone. (not auto updating my background apps).
I appreciate any help you guys provide.
Thanks
u cant downgrade once u go to Marshmallow. Its a security thing tht was updated in the latest firmware b4 Marshmallow came out. Ur gona hav to start all over again wth the latest KDZ b4 Marshmallow
I reformated into a Lollipop KDZ by flashing my ROM from the "Go back to stock" thread. Problem has appeared after i did that. I am currently on Lolipop v10D
nobody has any idea on how i can solve this issue?

download the kdz file for your device from here and flash it using LG UP here. all will be fine. i downgraded from MM to LP after MM had big battery drain. many people have downgraded using this method.

Hello
I'm currently on V10o-AME-xx (middle east) using an unlocked D855. I'm currently rooted and only have xposed on there, no custom recovery. What I want to do is remove the root and get a fresh new phone while still being on kitkat. I started looking around and found this method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785089
However, the problem is I cannot find my phone phone's version in the firmware database there or anywhere really. Does anyone know where can I find it? If not, what'll happen if I flash the european one on my phone?
I found this thread where a user posted the link to the V10o. Not sure if it's the middle eastern version though. This is what he wrote, "Maybe one off the devs can do a flashable zip out of it", does that mean I cannot actually use it without modifying it somehow?
Maybe there's a way to extract my own KDZ from my phone?
Also, can I use the LGUP method to go from KK straight to MM, then from MM to KK normally? OR do I have to go through LP first? I noticed that post omits KK all together, probably because a lot of people got their phone with LP.
Thank you in advance.
I'm tired of the problems and struggle I've had attempting to use my rooted G4. I'm currently on 13b rooted and it's been giving me problems. It randomly reboots and doesn't start up at times. And it's so sluggish. I've gotten a replacement because I flashed the wrong kdz. I just want my phone to work without all these problems. I just want to get to the stock Verizon MM for my G4. Is this possible?
You should be able to flash the MM kdz - they can be found here in the general section. Be sure to verify it is the correct kdz.
Keep in mind once you go to MM you won't be able to achieve root without downgrading back to LP. I think there is a downgrade thread here in general as well if you need it.

Thank you I just downloaded the KDZ and flashed via LG UP. It installed without any problems. I'm aware that you can't root on MM, I'm ok with that. I need a break from rooting after all of this. Thank you I appreciate it!
Glad to see someone here not happy with rooting the G4. I don't find it worth the risk or the benefits worth it without the ability to flash custom roms. I've never rooted a phone without there being a way to install a custom recovery.
For anyone interested, The Android Central podcast discussed the topic of rooting and flashing roms a bit on their most recent episode. Most of them agreed that there isn't as much of a need anymore to root and flash roms and that it's kind of died down a bit. Features that people used to have to root their phones for are now available on most stock roms.

how to install LGUP tool
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=igB5rnLRXSc&spfreload=10
i know at the end of the video it says close the app, but dont, just start it and you be upgraded to MM in no time just make sure upgrade is checked
if you want to start fresh, then you can just do what my video says to get refurbished checked
if you upgrade with a rooted rom you have to factory reset your phone inorder for MM to boot
I have a g3 d855.
I was running 30b rooted and decided to tweek the ui soft keys (big mistake).
I ended up bricking but managed to use LGFlashTool without any problems to go back to stock "LGD855AT-00-V10e-EUR-XX-JUL-08-2014-32G+0.tot"
Then I installed 30n and found out it can't be bloody rooted.
I thought it would be simple to revert back to stock. 8 hours later and I am still stuck.
I keep getting "model information check fail!"
Is there any other tool for flashing the stock files as I am loosing my freaking mind here.:silly:
Thanks
Model

I have been trying to root my LG G3 D852 on 6.0 mm, i have found that there is nothing out for that yet. I know know that have to downgrade and I have tried but since I'm on virgin mobile so the downgrade file I tried to use bricked my phone so i had to send it back to LG to get it fixed. Is there any other way to downgrade or root without bricking my phone again?
Thanks

Hmmm. I had the same problem as you did with my G3. Same model and everything. Tried to downgrade it using my computer. Can't remember what tool, but it said it completed successfully. When it went to reboot, it would stay on the LG logo for 15-30 seconds, before going to the broken android screen. After a few minutes, it would reboot. Could enter into the recovery menu from the broken android screen, but when I tried to bump the files or flash a rom, there was nowhere on the phone to store it. I think it removed the partitions during the flash, hence why it couldn't store the files. It's not that I didn't have permission, but it showed in the console that there was no directory to mount. Couldn't even charge the phone in the state it was in. Guess it relied on the OS to control the charging. I'll probably try to simulate the phone, with the stock OS, and see if I can find any exploits that could allow for a "safer" rooting method. Tell me if you find anything yourself!
