I installed "icon changer free" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jy.iconchanger.ad to apply a third party icon pack (one by one). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sikebo.materialistik.material.icons
I used nova launcher on my note 4, but this time i wanted to give touchwiz a chance.
If anyone knows how to make a samsung icon pack can you point me to a guide?

ive tried almost all the launchers available in the play store and the problem is that the icons get rearranges in automatically when any new launcher is installed is there a way by which the launcher can adopt the deafult set of placements of the icons which are placed originally???

Your current launcher needs to have feature to 'backup' its settings, then your new launcher must have feature to 'import' setup from another launcher.
Im not usein be launcher its the deafult i want the launcher 2 adopt my deafult icon set

There is no "default icon set". Icons you have on the "desktop" are part of the launcher. If you change the launcher - no icons. Unless, as tweeny80 stated, your new launcher can import settings from your old one (which is slim chance)...
Nova launcher gives the option to import from another. Holo laucher gives the option to use the holo icon theme or the stock theme therefore y o ur icons will be stock. Hope this helps.

Install Unicon (I think its now called Icon Themer)
Install Icon pack of your choice (I'd suggest Belle UI)
Apply icon pack in Unicon
Enjoy

unable to get the dynamic icon working using xposed, unicorn and belle ui.
another option was to use nova launcher which supports dynamic icons.
was wondering if there is some way to port this feature to touchwiz without having to use 3rd party launchers or xposed...

Dynamic icons are not launcher dependent.

Latest version of Nova Launcher supports dynamic icons and it works just fine, was trying to get it working on Touchwiz (without using Xposed)
Hi,
I have a big issue with the fact that I can't change the app icons to the ones i want. If I try to use apps like Icon changer, i am warned that "Your launcher may not support creating shortcut via Icon changer ", hence I am not allowed to do so. How can i fix this ? I don't want to install icons from certain icon packs, I want to change them with specific pngs.
Thank you in advance,
Liviu
Use a 3rd party launcher, like Nova. Or wait for the developer to update Icon Changer. The phone has only been available for a few days, and I suspect a number of apps will need to be updated to support it.
I am surprised about the small icon size when you put a few icons in a folder. I change the resolution to HD+ but that makes them no much bigger.
Pixel 2 launcher show's much bigger icons using folders but I like somehow the stock launcher.
Any ideas how to make the icons in folder look bigger?

At first I was not that happy with Nova but.....
I found a backup for the S9 and did import and hat to tweak it a bit.
Here a screenshot of the touchwiz and one of the Nova launcher.
Touchwiz is the first thing I dump on a tablet or phone and I've used Nova since it first came out. Lately though I've been using Microsoft Launcher (formally Arrow) and like a lot if it's features.
I have rooted my s9 and would like to change the icons using an icon pack from the play store, is there any way to do this?
I have seen that you could use the application unicon with xposed but not for the s9 on 8.0.0
Thank you.

Just download whatever icon pack you like and install
Thanks for the reply,
I'm struggling to find an option to install the icon pack without a third party launcher. Could you explain how to do that please?
Hi all,
I want to get the stock miui look with the poco launcher. I really dont like the shape and the way the icons look so if someone knows about a icon pack with the stock default icons from miui system launcher or if i could somehow port them from another device as an icon pack it would be really appreciated!
P.S. i'm not rooted and haven't even unlocked the bootloader at least yet.
Sorry for the bad english!
