S-Pen note taking background color - Note 7 Questions & Answers

I take notes on my Note 5 constantly, and always configure handwriting white words on a black background. With my Note 5 I could create a new note in S Note and choose this color combo quickly and start jotting away. I picked up a Note 7 today at Verizon and for the life of me I can't figure out how to change the background color on any note. Am I missing something or did Samsung remove background color options when taking notes? And no the Verizon rep couldn't figure it out either. Thanks.

Now you can draw on any screen and save the image as a screenshot! Just like having a Samsung Galaxy Note 2
The app lives in the notification bar when active and is simple to use.
PS. not my app, just recommending it.

Black background is anoying!

I really dont understand why samsung uses black backgrounds with grey text as their default and only theme.
I dont know if anyone has mentioned it. but its rediculously terrible to read text on the note when you are outside this way.
Email is by far the worst. even with all battery and background savings off and brightness set to max its almost impossible to see the dark grey email list on a black background when you are outside. New emails dont have a color but are white... so its also impossbile to see if you have new emails when you are outside.
How in the hell could samsung came up with this theme. the blue and black first of all is very ugly and its far from user friendly.
Before my note 2 i had an One X from HTC. i changed to the note because of the very good battery usage time. The One X has white backgrounds for all menus, email and sms. wich makes it perfectly readable even outside. also new emails have a blue color while readed emails are black.
I dont understand why samsung has choosen this stupid color themes for their flagships.
And yes you can invert the colors. but its insane how the rest will look if you enable the inverted colors. Its just stupid!

Black colors use less battery.
It's ironic that you switched to Samsung because of the good battery time.
You really think thats ironic?
I think its ironic that HTC has removed the "screen on time" from the battery management tool as from update 4.1. because that way people cant see that their one X has a use time of less then 3 hours.
Also the Phone can heat up to about 60 degrees celcius when playing a game, in wich the screen gets so hot it starts to burn on your finger tips. battery drains from 100 to 0 in less then 30 minutes.
Well this irony is the reason i switched to the note 2. Now i get 8+ hours of use time or around 4 to 6 hours with a total of 24 hours standby.
How ironic you think it is... its allot better!
Black maybe less power consuming but the few minutes you use the email app is nothing compared to the hours you spend browsing the web with a white background. And yet i still can browse the internet for 6 hours on a charge.
So as smart as you think you are, i dont think this white background while reading a few emails will deplete your battery hours faster. But still its terrible anoying that email and sms is just unreadble outside. They should atleast add a function so people can choose for themselves wich background they prefer.
Its really not that strange i think!
Hi
In the web browser you can get black background with white text and then get incredible battery life even if you briwse a lot.
Go accessibilty option and activate the "reversed mode"
Enjoy.

The problem isn't with black screen, but the incredibly stupid grey color fonts though. If you're rooted, obviously flash away some good roms that settles it for you. Annoying but nothing you can't get rid of.
Have you tried negative screen mode when you're out?
You could try K-9 Mail to get rid of the grey font in the Samsung Mail app.
@sygys
I didn't want to provoke you. Cool down.

Blueish edge in S-Note

Hello, I tried S-note on a 10.1 2014 in a store. When I put the S-pen on top of the screen (not touched yet), the left/right edge showed a blueish edge. What is that? I tried it to PRO 12.2 but did not see such edge.
it tries to scroll up, any edge will give that blueish effect and it is plain stupid, i would be really grateful if somebody could turn that and zooming in and out off in S-Note.

I would also like the song pen scrolling disabled in a note. It makes writing by the edges really leggy as its trying to scroll the screen even though I'm not tying to scroll.
I can live with it, but it would be nice to be able to disable this feature.

Why I did not see this when I tried S-Note on Note PRO 12.2?

Missing Feature on Camera

So I have been working on review videos and tutorials. I just noticed that the Note 5 Camera feature doesn't have Greyscale as an effect style. Is this just an ATT version issue or do all Note 5 lack this feature? I did check the Samsung camera market place to see if there was an add on . Samsung tends to remove features and place them there.
Let me know what you guys see.
Only thing close is effects "monogram".
Have you tried using the Pro Settings to see if the grey scale is there? Personally not sure what the grey scale is, if your talking about the black/white thing with +/- on it, than that is in Pro Settings.
Monogram is the grayscale washed out a bit with a different name. Hint the name mono and gram.

Splitscreen color line

Hi everyone.
Firstly, i apologize if i m in the wrong place to post that but it s very difficult for me to use the new xda app. This app is not so organized than the old one.
My question is : is exist a non rooted app to change the splitscreen line color between two apps somewhere.
More precisions :
I owned a galaxy note 8 in the past which had an issue after 1 yeay of use on his display. I ve used the splitscreen feature to watch a vlc movie while on the other hand, i ve browsed in the samsung internet or checked my mail or played a game.
After a year of use i had a burned display. And the ghost issue was located exactly where was the split screen line separating the two apps. Samsung warranty was aware and changed me the screen of the phone.
Today i own a galaxy note 10 and i used the samsung multistar app. I was able to change the splitscreen color line from blue to black or dark (i don t remember). Multistar received an update that don t allow to change the color anymore.
That s why i ask if someone is aware about a third app that can give the opportunity to change this color line because i don t want to reproduce the same issue on my galaxy note 10.
Thanks in advance.
