Hello all!
I have a Nexus 5X and it worked perfectly. Until friday... I was in the Facebook app and the device freezed and reboot. When rebooting it hangs on the yellow dots loading screen.
The USB-Debugging is not enabled, so i can't unlock the bootloader so I can flash TWRP. Am I f*cked right now?
I tried the LG Up-tool, but nothing works... same problem... Can anybody help me?
Have you tried just doing a factory reset from the stock recovery?

Mine did this last night and I put it on the charger and I got no response I tried turning it on this morning and nothing so I tried holding power+volume up and it worked after thirty seconds or so

You can probably use the LGUP method to bring it back.
This why the first thing anyone should do with nexus 5x is Unlock bootloader even if you won't root or install custom roms.

Nothing works...
I tried the LGUP tool, but even then the phone hangs at the boot screen...

Try downloading a different Rom? Or try using your ruu for your network and reroot etc, see if that works
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
You should use a RUU. Just Google it

It sound like you are not running a custom rom? If so, just try a factory reset first.

If you have fastboot files on your PC, try
'fastboot erase cache'
when your phone is in FASTBOOT USB mode.
Then, if you have CWM recovery installed, go there and wipe your dalvik cache under advanced menu.

Before you do any of this, read the info provided very carefully. There is always a chance to brick your phone. Some steps take more than a couple of seconds. So be patient.
EDIT: There is also this EasyFlash tool.
The .exe RUUs are coming up with unknown error

For those still wondering: POWER + VOL DOWN.

I'm assuming you already install twrp. From there wipe it first then factory reset. Then reboot.

hey all
got a gsm GNEX that was stuck on bootloop.
have tried every way to unbrick it i could find flashing with odin, rootkit and fastboot and adb... have flashed android 4.0, 4.2, 4.4 and CM-11
same thing happens everytime every seperate flash the phone will reboot 5-10 times then say "updating apps" will finish that and go into a constant bootloop...
im wondering if the phone is either hardbricked or if its a hardware failure.
any help would be great
cheers
Hardware failure. Your internal memory is fried. Try to lock the bootloader. If its still unlocked on boot, you know it for sure.

Thats a good sign. Back up everything and unlock it again. Then try to flash the stock rom via fastboot. Without any toolkits!

Did you use the flash-all.bat or did you flash everything manually? The lines could be an electrical issue or its an issue with the screen..

So what happened when u flashed the recovery?

7 vibrations usually means hardware fault, normally some overheating issue.
I had that issue and RUU sorted it out. I needed to run RUU few times though because it wouldn't flash radio the first time
Hey,
Hopefully you guys can give me some help with the problem ive been having,
My nexus 5 is stuck in bootloop, i can get into the bootloader and the lockstate is unlocked but no custom recovery is appearing like it used to. I tried flashing using ADB but my phone doesn't show up as a device on my pc.
i have tried to wipe the cache ect and it comes up with "E:failed to mount /cache (invalid argument)
I only really know the basics of this stuff (only ever used the basic stuff to root and flash my phone)
Sounds like debugging is not enabled.

That's only necessary for ADB when booted into Android. Not required when using it from recovery. Anyway, that's irrelevant. The op should be using fastboot in bootloader mode.

You should be using fastboot then. I suspect you were, but like so many, erroneously called it ADB.

You need to take Android 101 again. ADB doesn't work when in the bootloader. It works when booted and in recovery.
There are a few potential fixes and a for-damn-sure one. Were you an a custom rom when the bootloop occurred? Rooted stock? More info please...

So if I were you I'd download the latest factory images from HERE. Unzip bullhead-mhc19q-factory-22ba5e5a.tgz (or whatever the name is). Then remove the -w from the flash-all.bat file located in the unziped folder. Then execute the flash-all.bat to reflash the factory images without wiping data. Have fun.

I don't think that works.
I also have the same problem and when I do that, it errors as "FAILED (remote: device is locked. Cannot flash images)"
Is there a way to unlock bricked device??

You are not in the same situation. Your bootloader is locked. Before anyone can help you, you need to provide more information about your sh!tuation.
