Found the right best buy employee. She had this working in an hour 0
Took the 4.4.2 update and it went to crap.
Stuck on download or connect ti kies page
You're stuck on this right? A couple of questions then.
Have you rooted it at all in the past?
Have you at any point installed a different custom rom?
This should be able to work for you.

Yes to previous root but in an attempt to recover any system files it now says custom firmware below the stock and binary section of download mode. Recovery screen no longer exists.

Took the 4.4.2 update.
Rooted same day.
Phone was stable for 2 or 3 days and accidentally got left on. Since then it's only showed a connect to kies screen.
Tried original kies
Kies3
Sidesync
And emailed corporate US, China, and Japan asking for help and/or md5 and no one replies
Willng to pay upfront just to show how serious i am about the $100. If it doesn't get resolved in the time agreed apon I'll simply ask for a refund
Bestbuy fixed it. Took 4 visits and 3 different employees but it's going now
Any way to create the md5 file they used to repair this? I'd like to share the heck out of it in hopes of helping others with stuck devices.

I would like to say first that i searched around the forums and google first and found little to no luck in finding unroot files for odin. It's a SGH-I317
I rooted my phone today (yay)
Downloaded a font installer app today too ( I should have read the reviews, but it worked perfectly on my rooted infuse so i thought why not )
And i should have looked up a unroot method before i rooted(my fault)
Anyways... to me, the advice posted on the forum were apps to unroot from the phone, not for emergency resets that require the computer
Now i cant get past the samsung logo and its stuck on that when i turn on my phone.
What i did do:
downloaded this: http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=8&view=8301

But it failed. Now im not a complete noob, but i still need some help from the more experienced users . Im not sure if im missing the proper files or if im pressing the wrong buttons or what. Please help me
You posting in the wrong section homie. You read everything but the rules:thumbup: chances are you wont find any help here.

Ahh sorry about that, wasn't sure if it was supposed to go into a Q/A or general.
Turns out i left samsung kies open while unrooting. Now my phone is running smoothly again. I would recommend downloading from sammobile.com for those who are experiencing the same issue

Think you will have to do it this way-http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565972

Unfortunetaly i cannot use odin because my phone WILL NOT CONNECT TO MY COMPUTER. the usb/charge port on the phone is bad, and its not under warrenty. sorry for the caps, but since it wasnt read the first time i figured a bit more force was necessary.
but i found a solution to my own problem. i extracted the recovery image from the mk3 tar.md5, and created a CWMR flashable zip. once i have tested it i will upload in case anyone wants/needs it
stock recovery for MK3 for flashing in CWMR.
Thank you so much. I've been looking everywhere for this flashable zip.

Just an FYI - this is the HTC One M8 Windows forum...so expect the mods to come after you with a vengeance...lol. I'd re-post this question in the Android group, or ask the moderator to move it. There's a few different Android forums depending on what network you're on too:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/
I'm guessing there was an update in-between the one you're trying to install and what you currently have, and for some reason, your phone is skipping it...but that's just a guess. My only recommendation is try re-flashing a stock rom on it (FYI - it'll wipe data off internal storage, so hope you have a backup of your contacts/photos/etc. before attempting this):

Agree that the error message indicates its looking for a newer build, and not finding it.
To the OP, did you manually put the update file on the phone; or did you download it the "usual" way when notified or by checking for an update in Settings?
What hboot number? What stock ROM (software number) did you put on the phone?
Hi all,
i have bought a galaxy S9 dual sim about month ago.
Coming from a galaxy s7 rooted , that was "broken" but the reception was perfect.
I have rooted the galaxy s9 from the beginning for adaway and some nice other features.
Done the first root with Magisk but that gave problems with platinum backup so i removed root and used twrp with supersu.
But i already soft bricked it by installing the magisk version that was not modded for the S9 - i know stupid, haven't been reading everything.....
So after downloading the EU standard rom version and flashing it, everything worked again.
Then rooted with twrp and using super SU.
Now i got from time to time that suddenly the reception of the cell drops out, then in a few seconds its back and i can call again.
This afternoon it started to do it again, but then it got back, tried to call the person i was talking to.
Suddenly after a few times of dropping out the reception it suddenly rebooted itself.
This is why i thought it maybe could have been because of the rooting or maybe the wrong rom ?
As stupid as i was, i did not checked at first which rom version was installed from factory.
Someone else having these problems ?
Its also the most occurring at my home, people asking if im inside because of the bad audio.
Here are some screenshots of the phone info.
Hope someone has the solution because this is getting pretty annoying.

Has anyone seen this on the Pixel?
I get this, when I turn off the phone and press volume up (only) then plug in the cable and get to this Download Mode that I has never seen on a Pixel. I always use bootloader to flash.

Yeah, it's been noted a while back. Unfortunately it is of no use to us unless you could get factory signed firmware from google, and then have the proper interface with which to install it. Some folks were messing with it in late 2017 to see if a root exploit could be found for the Verizon variant by installing it, however, it never came to fruition.

Thought that I would mess around with it.
It would be nice to have a different way to flash a firmware just in case the other method doesn't work.
Thanks
