Hello, I have a HTC ONE V(CDMA) running on stock Android 4.0 ICS. I have unlocked bootloader and rooted the phone. I tried to install clockworkmod recovery but wasn't successfully. So for a while now I've been using my phone rooted and with bootloader unlocked. I decide I dont want my phone to be rooted anymore, so I unroot my phone using SuperSU. After that I relocked my bootloader using fastboot. Now when I want to factory reset my phone it always gets stuck on the red HTC development menu. Would someone please help me figure out how to factory reset my phone? Thank you!
do it in recovery?

Well, you need to unlock and root again ahah. Then just connect the phone in fastboot mode, on your pc copy the twrp recovery file to your fastboot folder, open cmd and type fastboot flash recovery nameofrecovery.img, then just reboot your phone into recovery

Now you have stock recovery installed, the way to go to recovery is bit different from how to enter recovery for TWRP. It gets stuck maybe because of the current ROM has some problems.
I suggest you do these:
1. Go to bootloader menu and flash TWRP - use the one in my signature (not yet test the latest official one)
2. put the 1.57.599.1 backup on externel sdcard (you should have one)
TWRP/BACKUPS/YourSerialNo/folder here
3. restore this backup (make sure Micro SDcard is selected as TWRP storage)
4. boot to bootloader and flash stock recovery
5. reboot and do the setup wizard then do the OTA
6. Once complete, you can reflash TWRP if you want to.
Hi Im planing to root my m8 but have an OTA for the future back up so here's Im gonna do please guide if I have wrong steps
1. unlock bootloader
2. download TWRP and Supersu
2.A. using ADB [ fastboot boot recovery recovery.img]
2.B now using boot recovery flash supersu [now I have root access]
3. back up stock recovery using flashify
4. now [fastboot flash recovery recovery.img]
5. I have custom recovery now [back up stock rom]
6. flash custom rom.
in the future I just restore my stock rom on TWRP then flash stock recovery that I have backed up before on flashify
then perform OTA?
is this plan good enough?

hello there. I have htc desire 816 that runs on android kitkat. I wanted to flash custom rom and followed all the procedures. I rooted my phone using kingoroot and also unlocked the bootloader from htcdev site. I downloaded the twrp image specifically for this phone and flashed it using the official twrp android app. it indicated that flash was successful. i tried to boot into recovery but i could not find twrp . I tried flashing twrp using fastboot but no difference. I even tried flashing cwm . they all indicate that flashing was successful but i couldn't boot into recovery. When I click on Hboot then recovery, it spits me back again to recovery option. Can you please tell me what's wrong here?
