So with marshmallow releasing recently on the note 4, (for most) whats the opinion of staying stock or rooting and rom'ing for Nougat? If not already possible im sure it will be very soon. I did like a few features of 7 so if there was a stable ROM i might consider finding a daily driver myself. Otherwise i have been very happy with 6.0.1
Maybe ask the same question in a month. I think the code was barely released.
I'm pretty sure N is out for Nexus devices.
Actually I just saw this: http://techxat.com/android-devices-getting-cm14-nougat-rom-big-list/
So we are getting CM 14/Nougat. It's a matter of, when. Trust me, don't ask that. It'll happen when it happens. Everyone around here basically works for free. Some take donations. If someone comes up with a Nougat ROM sooner than someone else, whenever that is, then great, but we'll see at least CM 14 at some point, maybe another Nougat ROM as well from another author.

First off, I'd like to thank you for developing this ROM. I hate the idea of anything other than pure android, but you know, the Nexus 7 is not a phone. Good lord why they couldn't make the LTE one just have some phone guts, I'll never, ever understand this, but it doesn't. So, I got the Note 8.0, since it's a phone, and it's certainly no Nexus 7, that's for sure! Your ROM really brings it closer.
Anyway I just wanted to let you know that I am also experiencing the ext-sd issue. The video "screen smush" issues are present on mine, also.
Tremendous work, really. Keep it up!
does he have a rom for us on n5120's?
Not sure if this is a touchy subject but, does anybody know what happened to baked rom? It seems as if they just fell off the face of the earth....
Again, sorry if i shouldnt go in to this, i just cant find any info on them, and their wesite/ G+ hasnt been touched in months. To bad, was a great rom....
I don't think there is anything touchy about it. TravP just took a break. I remember the gap between Baked 8 and 9 was forever, and by that time a new Android (4.2?) was released. Then someone leaked BB9 to the forums when they shouldn't have and he decided to just scrap it. I still have a test build running on my Nexus S I think lol. I swear I saw someone post a screenshot of Trav running BB11 (might have even been trav himself on twitter) not too long ago, so maybe he will jump back in to things eventually. Baked is still the favorite ROM I've had the chance to run!
Thanks for the info, didnt know about that. That sucks it had to end that way, but i understand why he did it. It was also my fav rom. I would still run it if i could. I hope he does jump back into it. It would make me a pretty happy camper

Trust me you wouldn't be the only one! On the GNex we had one of the longest threads in the forum going. Then our device maintainer got banned for something stupid and they locked the thread. (Mind you, this is probably 10 months after the last official release lol)So most of us just left XDA. My S4 isn't even rooted because I can't run AOKP or an AOKP variant. Damn I miss those days!
Ya, alot has changed in the past year or two, but it will get better
Completely OT but I figure why make a new thread. Couple questions for you. 1. Which N7 do you have? 2. Do you know of any ROMs for Deb that have a mutiwindow feature?
As the owner of a Nexus 7 2013 LTE (deb), I can't help but feel as if nobody - especially not El Goog, actually give a frak about this device:
No Lollipop OTA yet
No Lollipop Factory Images
Hardly any roms
And not a single word from Google about the first two. Nada.
Now I've been using the one of two Lollipop roms actually available for the device, and I'm liking it, but I would have liked CM or Slimrom or any other custom variation (GROGG88's version is excellent, but I like to have variation to choose form - and now that we don't have xposed it's more important than ever).
I'd like to hear from you users and developers: Until Google step up their game (and even when they do), what do you think we can do to improve deb compatibility and rom variation?
Developers, is there any specific reason you develop for flo exclusively? (other than - I'm assuming - that it's the only device you've got?)
Bare in mind that this is an open discussion thread, I'm not blaming or requesting anything from anyone. Let's just talk about it.
I own a deb device. And agree that support is limited. I have grogg88's rom installed and must say it's one of the best available. I do also have cm installed. But wish there was more available. Hopefully Google will release the update soon
Of course it's not abandonware. Stupid question. Lollipop only came out 1 month ago and still has major problems on the devices running it.

This. With all the issues being reported on this forum alone, I have no desire to update to 5.0 or 5.0.1. I want all the new bells, whistles, and pretty colors, but 4.4.4 does everything I need and want.
I'm really hoping the GravityBox devs will find a way to get it to work with ART soonish.
As the title suggests, what is the next steps? Will we be getting custom ROMs soon? Or are developers not interested in Razer phone? I haven't heard anything in regards to development, and I am curious what to expect, if any.
Honestly have no idea. I find the stock romantic to be pretty good though. Just waiting for oreo to come out.
Ah well I just rooted with Magisk. I miss resurrection remix, what with all the customization.

Honestly, wait for Oreo. We seem to have everything for Project Treble, and Razer still says Oreo in Q1 2018. At that point custom roms become much easier
Yeah I'm waiting on oreo personally.. My guess is with its release coming shortly, developers would be waiting as well lol
The only thing I'm surprised not to see is a tweaked stock rom removing alot of the games and adding basic features like pre rooted, center clock, **** like that
Flashing twrp seems to be a bit tricky and I don't want to go back to stock once a new update comes out. So I'm waiting for Oreo which hopefully will make things easier.
Trying to learn how to do it myself. This device hasn't received much support so far, just seems like it was to little to late from razer for the big devs.

The first step I think is to compile the kernel from source and start porting features. I managed to compile it but I lost wifi and the flashlight for now
Dear All,
I had been wondering if there was any chance to see a LOS16 (A9) port for this device?
I know LOS 17 has been ported which is really great.
I understand everyone is eager to get to the latest version of Android they can get, but I don't always like what comes next, not always better than what was there before, not to mention, often performances are not as even as good as they were before.
Of course sometimes you have to compromise to get that new feature you were looking for, but some other times you simply do not need it and would just be happy on earlier version.
I am quite satisfied with A9, it meets my needs so far, and for now I see no reason to move to A10.
Dont get me wrong, that's great we have all those new roms based on A10, I thank all the dev for that, but I am just curious if anything would come based on A9 or if that's just not possible because of some reasons I am not aware of.
Thank you very much!
Regards,

Or maybe someone could explain how to make a LOS16.x Rom for Redmi?
I am unsure how it works exactly but I guess it is about to mix some files? That should be doable since we have device tree no?
I am curious to learn how that works.
Thanks to anyone who could help.
