I already received the $20 gift card, but the $5 referral is hard to use unless you know someone else with the ability to use Samsung pay.

You can use the $20 and buy a $20 google play gift card through Samsung Pay. You can buy a hell of a lot of gift cards including Amazon, Best Buy, lots of restaurants, etc....

OMG DID U SAY FREE MONEY , definetly gonna have a look at this when i get mine.

Just used it on my work vending machine. I bought a bag of chips and had my Samsung debit card before I got back to my desk. It ends today.......

[Q] alternatives where i can buy a nexus phone

Well i want to buy this mobile but i have a problem, i want to buy it in play store because it is the cheaper site where i can found it but a have a credit card from mexico but i have an adress in California where i can pick up, but it doesnt let me pay with that card, is there another alternatives?
Get a credit or debit card in the U.S.? Any card, any bank you want. Hell go buy a pre-pay card off the rack at CVS and buy it with that. They will sell them to anyone unless of course you have no legal US or State Government Identification, in which case YOU TOOK OUR JAAAAWBS!

Can you not use Mexican Credit cards locally? It is cheaper to buy them here in the stores than from the play site. You just have to get the 16gb. Can you get a 16gb at a regular store? It's going to be 250+ tax but you will save no paying shipping. I assume Best Buy takes any CC from any country.
Well in other stores i can buy with this card, i bought online with this card at macys and other online store and i just pick up in my adress in USA. I look into other websites and bestbuy doesnt have this phone (unlocked), walmart does but it is 460 dlls and in the playstore only 350.. im looking for 350 $ or less..

Sorry I sometimes forget which nexus forum I am on, thought I was on the Nexus 7 Forum still ROFL. Yeah you might be a little screwed, if you can't just get someone you know locally to do it for you. You'd have to use an ATM to pay them I'd guess.

Many grocery stores in the US sell prepaid MasterCard/Visa debit cards that you can load with any amount of money, up to $1000. Maybe you could buy one of those, load it up with however much the GN will cost, and buy it using the prepaid card.

Well then your only choice might be amazon. They have used GNex's in the $350 range, and new ones in the $400 range if you are willing to shell out a little extra. I purchased mine from Amazon because factoring in shipping, it would have been cheaper for me than buying through Play Store.

I've used a debit card to fill up a prepaid card before. It might vary from country to country? I did it just yesterday in fact, filled up a Visa prepaid debit card with $100 using my bank-issued debit card.

Can you answer these few questions about amazon?, it looks interesting but in amazon i have to pay tax? How many days can i have it? How much it cost in playstore? ( adding tax and shipping)
Tax depends on where you live. Shipping to the US usually takes about 3-5 days, international may take more, I don't really know for certain. You can find out how much it will cost in the play store by adding it to your cart and checking out. If will display the full price before you enter your payment info, so you can just close the website and the transaction will not go through.
Not sure if this helps you, but Best Buy has the Galaxy Nexus for free right now, with the signing of a Verizon contract.
OP lives in Spain, so no Verizon network.

Well I tried once here in the states and was told it was illegal. Maybe the clerk was just retarded.
Using the address of the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA, the total came out to $390.04. You may want to add $400 just in case it costs a little more to ship to wherever you are.

The standard motorola support line: 1-800-734-5870. Spoke with sales. I received my promo code for buying the Verizon moto X on day 1 of the motomaker availability. I received my code in my email. Later that day, I saw that they were offering either the promo code or a Visa card, so I called back, explained that I would rather have the Visa card, and they politely said they would send me a card, and please not to use the code as they were going to deactivate it.
Your situation may be different, but I know they CAN swap the code for a card, but it may be a matter of finding a rep that is willing or able to. Try a Sales extension, they seem to have more power to "please the customer."

Technically, it was reimbursement. I would much rather have had $50 in cash, but oh well. I essentially would like to give this to someone who wants to buy from Motorola's site. If you're going to buy from that site, might as well use this. It's a win-win.
I really wanted the SlimPowerPack thingys. They aren't available for purchase though.

Not possible. Out of stock forever, and they have NO clue when they will be available again. Meanwhile, I'm sitting here with $100 worth of store credit, and everything I want is "Coming Soon" or "Out of Stock". And they were supposed to send me the Visa gift cards FWIW.

Why don't you use it? Too slow or something?
I'm a big Swappa supporter now, bought my N5 and sold my s3 on there. Very easy and no ebay fees, just a flat $10 charge per transaction.
Those who said swappa I'll agree with. However, I would also suggest Amazon. When shipping and all fees are factored in, I find it's only slightly more costly than swappa. Additionally, there is much more visibility there. If it was me I'd probably post both places. Heck, I'm actually doing that for a couple of phones right now.

$200 Off Of The Note 4

Yeah, I wonder as well. I think that it's probably an AT&T question though.
Its not actually $200 off, its a guaranteed $200 trade-in for any working phone. Sure, it mathematically comes out the same in the end, but without a phone to trade, you don't get the $200.
It says in there "come back on 10/10 for the trade in", it still works until then.

I'm a bit confused. What are the participating retailers?
Where exactly can we trade in our old smartphones?
does it include blackberry curve as a smartphone? thats my question.
..
Something new on the promotion site from the last time I saw it; Best Buy customers go in-store to redeem instantly. Also in the fine print it states Best Buy customers do not need to submit the form, so it looks like we can get it from Best Buy without the inconvenience of waiting 6-8 weeks for the rebate check.
Can you apply the BB gift card to the note 4 purchase if you are buying it outright?

Best Buy has their own trade in promotion that gives you an instant $200 gift card when buying a Note 4.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/samsung-galaxy-note-4-128435
So I went to Best Buy and asked one of their phone guys, about this. He said that basically you pre-order the phone (if you do it online it has to be for in store pick up, which is not available yet on their website). Then when you come into the store to pick up the phone, you can bring in any other working smart phone. Cannot have damage to it. And they need the battery and charger with it too. They will give you a 200$ credit/gift card. That can be used towards the purchase price of the phone. They will apparently let you buy the phone outright too, which I have had issues, doing with them in the past. But now with the mobile share value plans and Next and all it looks like they may have changed their tune about that finaly.
Interesting thing is that it looks like their price is 25$ cheaper than AT&T.

Wait. Any working phone? Could I get 200 for my old captivate?
Edit: aww... I just saw the details. Kinda a pain.
Thank god I decided to look on XDA before pre ordering!
FYI giftcardgranny.com (or similar site) will give you approximately 90% value of the gift card in cash.
I'm trading in an old 3gs
I have hear 2 different answers from Bestbuy on if the promo can be for off contract purchase or not.

Does anyone know how Samsung Pay gift cards work?

Does anyone know how Samsung Pay gift cards work?
For example, you can redeem reward points for a number of different gift cards - let's say it's a $25 Best Buy gift card, 50% off.
That's what Samsung Pay says. But what does it mean exactly? Do I have to buy this card for $12.50? Is it free when I redeem the points? What is 50% off?

No, you're not buying the card instead your are using your reward points to get it and the 50% is for the amount of points it would normally take to get the card. So for example let's say you have to normally use 5000 points to get a $25 Best Buy card, well right now they are 50% off so it only takes 2500 points to get the gift card but the gift card is still worth $25. Does that make sense?
