Every since I updated to Nougat my Nexus started to stutter like crazy. I even did factory reset, but it didn't work. Opening notification tray stutters, opening quick settings stutters, opening settings stutters, scrolling stutters. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Mine is been really good. Are you rooted? I'm waiting for google to post factory images. I'm hoping that will fix most issues.

Don't need root, so no.

You used the stock recovery for the sideload and the factory reset right?
Did you update performance tools (adb) before applying the sideload? (I don't think this could be the problem but just in case).
I'd try a factory image flash all, using latest version of fast boot and just installing basic apps (like WhatsApp) to see if its fixed.

Yes.
Yes.
I understand I need to unlock bootloader to be able to flash stock image. Will I able to relock it back without affecting my warranty?

If you are getting back to stock, you're unrooted with stock recovery, you can always unlock / lock your bootloader. Have been doing this several times

Yes, but will it show it was unlocked? Will it void my warranty?
Odoslané z Nexus 5X pomocou Tapatalku
AFAIK unlock bootloader on nexus doesn't void warranty.
Alright then. I'll wait for factory image.

My N5X is slow to wake some times with the finger sensor, but that is the worst thing since the update so far haha. It doesn't always do it, but it always seems to do it when i'm in a "rush" haha

What were you using before flashing N? I was using PN+FKr16 and that combination was certainly faster. I hope improvements will come in a couple of updates.

You can use a theme.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
Link me? I haven't seen one.

Search theme manager themes in the play store. You need to be on a custom rom.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
That yields no results

Cm9 theme. Scroll through the list and find the sense one.
"Long is the way, and hard, that out of hell leads up to light."
There is also a free version.

No it doesn't.. the screen shots even have the Sense statusbar. Try rebooting.
I have the Sense status bar while using it, try rebooting before nagging that it doesn't work.

You have to be on M5 or newer I think. It's under themes in settings.

Then you need to be on a newer build.

Either or,
If your question is as straightforward as it seems,
1- really? This is your question?
If it isn't,

Live wallpapers are animated and whereas static are... well static.
Live wallpapers will look fancy but drain the battery quicker.

He was asking about the battery drain between static an live wallpaper, as live wallpaper drains more battery than a static wallpaper as it have to be animated all time.

I'm debating on what phone to go with, AT&T LG G4 or Moto X pure. I would like to have root and a custom rom along with keeping my mini sd card.
What are the pros and cons with the G4?
Which one would you choose and why?
For starters, the AT&T G4 has no unlockable bootloader.

I know. If you count on that, go ahead. The Moto X Pure/Style has an official bootloader unlock method.
@ms.journie If you don't care about bootloaders, root and custom ROMs, never underestimate the benefits of a removable battery
why not buy the international LG G4. its like $400-450 on ebay/amazon and can be unlocked where as the att varient is locked and will probably cost you like $500-600 thru att

I definitely want root, custom rom, anything I am able to customize to my liking.
Looks like I'm shooting for the moto x!

There is no guarantee that the AT&T G4 will get an unlocked bootloader, and if it does there may be very little dev support. Best bet is the Moto X or even better, the Nexus 6P.
Another good reason to choose the Moto X Pure Edition:

There's a couple of things that I liked with the Nexas 6P but overall I like the Moto X. Stinks that I have to wait until the 27th for the phone.
So I was reading this http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...emp-option-performance-improvements-and-more/ and I am not given the option and I was wondering of this is a thing or not

It is only present in MHC19J. Fair warning, if you decide to update, TWRP seems like it needs an update in order to view internal storage.

No clue, I just know MHC19J is supposed to have the following according to the Google employee on Reddit:
General slow/sluggish performance
DND next alarm disappearing issue
Bluetooth/WiFi improvements
Carrier-specific bug fixes
Edt: MHC19J is also our March OTA. The Nexus 6P received a similar build yesterday.
The V build is just the build with the March update the J build fixes some bugs and such as posted above. Honestly, I don't notice much of a difference with the J update (I was on Q before). I'm running the J build on my 5x and the N preview on my 6p.

Using MHC19J since yesterday coming from the february version and it is a new phone. 300% speed increasement, camera also much faster. This is the version it should has been in november.
I bought Pixel 2 XL before Google released Android 10. On 3rd September I couldn't update my smartphone because it thought that it had up to date system.
I participated in beta tests of many Google Apps including Google Play services. I opted out from everything and until now I cannot update my 2 XL to Android 10 using OTA.
Can you help me?

Unfortunately no. I'm using a MacBook so I don't know if it's possible on macOS at all.
