ze551ml - which external mic? - ZenFone 2 Accessories

Hello,
I would like to purchase an external mic in order to record sessions with my band in good conditions.
There are different choices concerning the jack.
Does anyone now about one that is compatible with our zenfone 2?
Thanks in advance!

external microphone

hi, I've been going crazy looking for a budget videocamera with an external microphone when I thought about doing it with my smartphone.
what I need is to record singing classes so i'm not looking for a great video quality but i need a great audio.
I read some old thread about phones and external mics but i guess I'm not even close to get what I want. searching in google looks like external mics for smartphone don´t exist.
Does anybody can help me on this?
thanks in advance...
well, looks like I found what I was looking for. the mic is the edutige eim 003 and is easily pluggable on most of the android and ios devices...
this is the link on amazon. you will find as well a couple of reviews on youtube. being from Europe the cheapest price would be 48€ but in us it's worth 28€. enjoy
It's also possible to make an adapter with the semi-standard iPhone compatible 4 pin headphone / mic plug on one end and separate headphone and microphone jacks on the other. I made one with just some resistors, a capacitor, and audio cables that now lets me use dynamic microphones (or even weak line in signals) with my iPhone instead of the usual condenser microphones.

[Q] ZenFone 2 specs but with stereo speakers?

The 2GB ZenFone 2 is absolutely perfect for my needs in every way, except for the mono speaker on the back.
My current phone is a Moto G 2014 which has stereo front-facing speakers and I can't imagine giving that feature up.
I am looking into bluetooth speakers right now, but I don't think they will be suitable for me.
Is there another phone which is similar to the 2GB ZenFone 2, but with stereo speakers?
Try the HTC One E8, but that's going to be $450

I find Bluetooth speakers work pretty nice. In the kitchen I have a Bem cube speaker that I listen to podcasts in the morning while making breakfast. For outside, or portable, I have a Rukus solar speakers. In the bedroom, I have a bluetooth alarm clock.

[Q] Quick lapel mic question

I have one of these cheap little things:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005DJOIHE?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00
...that I'm trying to use with my Note 4 using RecForge (or RecForge II). It doesn't work, (Actually I have 3 of them, none of them work.) so I did some research and found out that sometimes a TRRS adapter is needed so I got one of these:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PK2LSEU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
...and it still doesn't work. It's like it doesn't even pic the attachment up at all. Internal mics still work fine, nothing from the external. I tried changing the input settings in the app already, made no difference.
I have some janky little Sony headset/mic combo thing laying around that DOES work, though. I would just use it but the mic in it sounds really bad and the cheap little lapel mic is supposed to sound pretty decent.
Anyone have any idea why the little lapel mic won't work, adapter or not, but some little headset will? Is there something unique about the Note 4's jack? Does anyone know a lapel mic that will work?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks!!

Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe doesn't use the microphone jack from the Y cable

I bought a Y cable that split the connector into two connectors one for Microphone

I notice it's not using that when I tested it out with a recorder that suppose to use microphone jack to record audio. All it does is use the built-in microphone. The phone is not doing this automatically.

I have the Huawei Mate 10 Pro with external DAC and it can do this without any issue. So I decided to test the and found out audio work but again external microphone is not being use. It continues to use the built-in Microphone. I'm guess its there but not set.

Audio Quality when recording

Hi guys sorry if not correct place:
WHat's the audio recording like on this phone? For recording live music for example? I've a redmi 4x and the microphone filter makes trying to use my phone for a whats app band practice impossible with our remote member. It's a known issue on the redmi 4x but not sure if on all Xiaomi phones? Does music sound fairly clear when recorded with ml Redmi A2 lite? Anybody recorded something at a gig? I didn't find any complaints on my googles so hoping it's ok!
It is okay, you can use also the headphone where it has a mono microphone input plug on it...
The frequency response of it is quite nice...
But I am also looking for a converter cable or box, that I can connect to the MicroUSB port and record then Stereo Audio with at least 44 or 48 Khz
sampling frequency... Anyone know of any device or cable that will allow this.
Also I would like to conect something like a professional USB microphone there , like a Blue Yeti USB Mike... Any idea how to do this ?
Do I just need a USB to MicroUSB adaptor or USBtoGo Adaptor ?
Please post any known solutions. Many thanks.
Regards. Stefan.
