Nope, that's for new forum requests. OP is asking for something different.
This would be a @bitpushr (possibly @MikeChannon) thing.

Oh okay, I thought that it needs a forum, if it should be added there.

Possibly both correct.
You can't select a device in profiles if the device does not have a dedicated set of forums.
So to be able to get a set of forums it would need a request in the forum request thread. For that to stand a chance of being added though (it not being a new device), there would need to be quite a few threads already created (I do see a few but.....)
If there are some threads, (let's say between 20 and 60) then we might not add a forum but we might add a special tag so users can find them together via device search.

I was posting a solution to fix annoying wi-fi issues with Samsung Galaxy I 9000 with images but the forum is not allowing me to post ? I plan to contribute a full series of problem fixes with this particular device. Can any mod allow images only (no links to other sites) for my account ?

I'm probably missing something here, but: Is there a way to remove a closed poll in one of my threads, so that I can create another one, when needed? I looked under the thread options, as well as the options in the OP (Advanced Edit mode), but could not find any way to do this.
Thread in question is in my signature.
No but admin can, if want to link the thread here I'll pass across, or send a PM.
You can also make requests like that here for fast responses
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=276306
Nope, once you created, and closed a poll, only mods/admins can do the stuff your asking about

...and posted a formal request in the above linked thread.
Is phpBB, vBulltin, or any other?
PS: Is xda-developers forum software capible of showing the thread open time?
I often found it is difficult to tell which is newer one, until I click into it. Kinda time wasted just to see the freshness of thread.

vBulletin. Not sure what you mean by thread open time, the default sort is with the threads with the latest posts at the top. The stickied threads are at the top of course, so you might have to scroll down in some forums to see the threads with the very latest posts in there.
This might help: [GUIDE] - XDA New User Guide - The Visual Guide.
Thank you,

Ahh, I see what you meant by thread open time now. No problems with your English, I misunderstood. No, I don't see a way to sort by the start date. It is generally expected here that the first post of ROMs or guides get updated, so whenever it was started wouldn't matter.
Thank you,

Sorting them based on post count might work, as the most active rom threads will have tons of posts but sorting them based on last post (default) is better imo.
Can also sort according to 'Threads / Thread Starter', have no idea what those do besides mixing all the threads and confusing me. :silly:
Hello, all XDA-Users.
I know, most users know this, but not every XDA-Member…
I'd really like to say something here:
I truly see too many XDA-Users, that simply post something, without thinking about the fact, that somebody maybe overlook/misses your post.
Well, this is OK, but not, if the post is for a specific user.
If somebody wants to reply/say something to another user, without Quoting a Post of the user or mentioning somebody with @[Username]; the [Username] will not be notificated.
That will cause, that there's an extremely low chance, that [Username] will read the post. Maybe he/she looks at the thread at a random moment or recieves a private message etc. Maybe the Member is subscribed to the thread and takes a look randomlý.
But,
If you talk to somebody, please make use of the Quote/Mention-Feature‼
I'm saying this to anybody, who is a member on XDA-Developers.
Quoted Text
XDA-Member-ID (mine is 6011384) or simply type @Username

I hope, everybody will use the QUOTE/MENTION-Feature in future if neccesary and i also hope, it helped.
Thanks to all XDA-Users.

I remember your signature once to have a text similar to the following one:
„If you want me to read your post, please either Quote/Reply to my post or type/paste @ИΘΘK¡€ in your post.“
Thanks for your reply
Many members actually forget to use Quote/Mention.
I think, it makes sense to put this into the Non-Urgent Forum rules.
I've seen another post, where Quoting/Mentioning isn't used.
@Hannah Stern, I believe this thread would be a better place for the recommendation you posted above - that way the mods can see it and consider it.

trying to learn how to quote >.<
6011384 @Hannah Stern So it sends them a notification, yet the username doesn't become a clickable link?
And no problem if the username has spaces in between?
*Edit: The username becomes a clickable link, and it appears that spaces in the username isn't a problem, when using with @
Even if you use the @ option, it automatically changes to mention option which you can see by editing the post.
Also, the correct way to use the Mention option is
'any text here, preferably the username, and without the quotes'

It should be obvious to me, but it isn't - is there and quick icon to apply the mention tags, or do you have to type the whole thing in? Thanks

Hey guys, whenever I check my statistics in this page, it shows I have 11 posts
http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=7043986
But whenever I click on "Find all posts by Akash_Jain" it just shows one result and as much as I remember I just have 1 post, so why is it showing that I have 11 posts? And yeah onew thing, in the development section, I had tried to get my posting privileges elevated. Is it that they elevated my privileges? But I didn't get any notification regarding the thing. Please clear out the thing.
Thanks

Yup, that's why. You applied for the bypass of 10 post restrictions and that's why your count is 10 higher than your actual count. :good:

You can request a section for your device here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1660354
Only then will you have that option. But many things factor in to device section decisions. But good luck! :good:

When a section is added for a device, so is the option to choose it as a "my devices".
