I am seeing similar numbers on my new Note 7 on AT&T. So far the battery life blows for me, the set up is identical to my Nexus 6P except I have Google Now always on (launch from your voice regardless of whether the screen is on or off) turned off. All other apps are the same, sync is the same, etc. I'm hoping it's something simple or the phone just needs to settle in otherwise I'll go back to my 6P.

Tmobile here
Im guessing it still has the wifi calling bug from previous samsung phones

Good..so it's not just me. Android System is usually around 20% and now Android OS is around 20%. I am also on AT&T. Battery life has been pretty subpar in my opinion, so I'm hoping it settles in after awhile.

Yea, same here. I just tried wiping the cache partition, so we'll see if that makes a difference.

(TIP)Possible battery drain solution for LTE devices.

Like many here I've been having battery drain issues since the day I purchased the Galaxy Nexus. I also purchased the extended battery since day one. I've been reading through every single forum on how to reduce the battery drain and none seems to have worked for me. I've tried switching to wifi, 3g only, no email push, no google+, etc and my phone at 100% battery would lose almost 30% within 2 hours idling. Then I was looking at the settings and I came across the Developer Options/Background process limit and limited my background process from Standard to At most limit to 1 process and my battery has improved tremendously. Prior to making the change the Android OS was using 80+ % on idle (Wifi or 3g didn't make a difference), now it's uses around 20 or less. On idle I'm seeing around 4% or less an hour vs 15% battery drain.
Please remember this may or may not solve YOUR battery drain, but it has definitely helped mine and I just wanted to share with the community on what else you can try.
I've had pretty good results with my battery. I think some of ya'll are either just playing around with it too much or have some energy-sucking apps out there.

Or that you don't have a connection to the data network.
Just say'n. (I do the same thing at night)
I had Wi-fi enabled for 12 hours, and the battery only dropped to around 85%. I have been on 4G for 5 hours now, and the battery is now down to 13%. I'm going to use a Wi-fi/3G combination tomorrow. Oh and I also have my phone rooted/underclocked to 900Mhz.

Light use with very little screen time from the looks.

I've been using it for 3 days and have had no issues. Anyways its as easy as checking the standard limit if you ever wanted to revert back.

[Q] Is this typical battery performance?

I'm new to the Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Toro), I just switched from a Thunderbolt.
So here's the issue: I am seeing much quicker battery drain than I would expect when running Carbon 1.1 (Android 4.2.2) or Carbon 1.0 (4.2.1). I'm going to try franco kernel today. Here are some screens showing stats. I replaced the stock battery (person who sold it said it wasn't holding charge) with Anker battery. I also disabled NFC wondering if maybe this battery doesn't support it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, maybe I missed something with installing the rom with this phone, as I said before, I am new to the Nexus.
You might can squeeze a little more, but </= 2 hours screen on time is generally what you can expect.
Seems pretty normal to me. With almost an hour of onscreen time 53% after almost 7 hours is pretty good.
Alright, thanks for the input. Sort of not what I expected, as this isn't much better battery life than my TB. Would anyone expect an improvement using just 3G? I don't typically use data on my phone anyone, as at home and at work I have wifi

Not a substantial one, no, but minimal improvement maybe.
EDIT: Unless the majority of your battery drain is coming from data usage.. Torrenting and such..
I somehow noticed a much better battery life in 4.2.2 than 4.2.1
I am running ParanoidAndroid 15th Feb release and AK 691 Pirates on my maguro.
I have disabled sync and only sync mails 2-3 times a day and complete sync once.
And screen on time between 2.5 to 3hrs is normal for the GNex.

Android OS - keep awake

I got the G3 today and am still finding my way around. I am concerned that keep awake has been over 5 hours at this point. Can someone explain this to me or tell me what I can do to fix it?
Thank you!

Glad I came upon this thread. My android os is always 14-20%. But my battery life and screen on time are ok. I was really stressing over it my first day with the g3. My g2,nexus 7 are normally 8-11%

Glad to hear your battery life is ok despite having the same issue. Is there anything to be done about it? I guess I worry it's just adding stress too the system by being awake all the time but I don't actually know haha. Hopefully someone on here will know.

the only thing that you could do do decrease its awake time is to shutdown your phone. without android os yoour phone can't function
not without a custom kernel

Gap in battery stats

Anyone know why I'd have a gap like this in the battery? Normally I would assume a gap like that would be from the phone being turned off but my phone was never off as far as I can tell. The up time is at about 17 hours right now and the last time I unlocked the phone I used my fingerprint. When a reboot happens you have to enter a pin/pattern the first time to unlock. You can also see that wifi was active that whole time. Looks like the cellular signal was off but I have wifi calling turned on so I never pay attention to cell signal in my house. I think I've seen this one other time before and had no explanation. It's almost like the service that monitors the battery wasn't working. I'm running stock, decrypted 6.0.1.

This is the 5X. I charged it up right at the beginning of the weekend and then used very rarely which is why it looks like it would last 4 days
You rebooted, that's completely normal. Happens all the time.

I've seen a similar thing on the battery screen on my N6 a couple weeks ago on 6.0, never really got a decent explanation, but didn't actually cause any real problem and hadn't occured repeatedly since.

"Sure" to jump to Android 11.0.4.1
I did the 1st one and it killed speaker volume, suffered finger print reader, sluggish performance, auto dimmer. More I'm sure, can't remember it all.
I played hell and hoop jumping to get back to 10. There have been several releases. Are things OK now?

Thanks, Think I'll stay on 10, I don't see any celebrations about the 7t on 11. Almost got sucked into a Pixel 6P but a neghbor sent one back for heat and battery, a co-worker for crap finger print. Both of which installed updates.

Great words!!!
I experienced the same problems that's why rolled back to OOS10 and would never update even to OOS12 which is also not that good yet
I moved on to the 8t. Totally different phone, much better, got the max RAM. Much better call sound quality and reception. The only thing I miss is the better macro camera feature on the 7t.
