Hey,
I updated just now to the latest build of the Nougat - NRD90M. But there is no new white buttons, also the update doesn't include the new nexus launcher.
Why?
Mines the same ?. Don't seem to get an option to set a different lock screen wallpaper either?
because google didnt include.... simple...
"Overview UI is still in development, and subject to change. " statement made before the official release.
i personally hate the solid white nav buttons, and its not that hard to sideload the launcher you are referring to.
I did side loaded the Nexus launcher a few months ago. Seems you can change lock screen wallpapers using Google now launcher then revert back to Nexus launcher and it still works, win , win!

Im pretty sure there was a post about this launcher here but i did a search and couldnt find it.
I have been using it for a while now, and am thinking it has replaced go launcher as my fav launcher.
The Current version i am on is QQLauncher Pro 1.42 and it is amazing.
One thing that i have found amazing for the s2 is it includes a lock screen, it has take over from the stock lockscreen with for me NO issues, i havent seen it flash up in the background unexpectedly or anything.
The theme and style are alot like MIUI but ofc with a proper app draw.
Id recomend people give it a try if they are up for trying a new dock/lock screen combo.
I think i will give a shot at making a theme for it soon.
On a side note the lock screen works even if you arent using the launcher as your default. so you can have the TW launcher and this pretty nice locks screen if you wish.
thanks, but if I wanted my android phone to look like an Iphone I would have bought an iphone
Not if u like the interface but not the os
I like the look of this launcher. Not sure how it can be compared to an iPhone, MIUI yes, but not this launcher. The unfortunate thing is it force closes every time I try and add an application. Will watch it to see how it progresses.
Hi Guys.
The stock ICS launcher is superb. However with all the great widgets and folders, its a shame that we have only 5 home screens.
Is it possible to add two more home screens and make it 7 as I think thats the perfect amount.
Im rooted so any tips on how to do this myself and push it to my device or even better if someone has made the adjustments themselves and can share the file.
NOTE: I don't want any other changes to the launcher. I like the constant Google search bar integration and I don't want to remove anything. I just want 7 screens.
Thanks.
Not on stock. You'll have to try a 3rd party launcher. The cyanogen team put out Trebuchet launcher in another xda forum for testing. You can add home screens, even remove the search if you want. Personally it has been running smooth with no issues, but I've read of some people with issues (probably don't have a nexus)

It's quite easy...
So this is my first Android device (coming from iOS) and after looking through different launchers (Go, Apex, and Nova) I think I still like the stock 4.1.1 one the best.
But I want so features from them in the stock launcher, is that possible? Specifically I would like the pages to loop ie,. When I get to the fifth page I want it to go back around to the first page, also I want cool page flipping animations , and lastly I'd like the launcher to work in landscape. Apparently this was the default behavior in 4.0 but they removed it 4.1... weird.
Anyways sorry I'm such a noob just looking for a few answers.

Unfortunately you can not make the stock launch go into landscape without rooting your device and making some changes. I do like the loop feature as well. Nova was the closest to original but I did not like the landscape view it provided, chopped some widgets and just did not "look right" for me. I installed Nemus launcher and so far this has been my favorite. Everything just seems to look crisper and the landscape view is perfect. The one thing I did not like about is that it did not give you a separate tab for widgets in the launcher, but that is ok because you can just long press on a spot on the page and pull up Widgets. Hope that helps some.
Use nova laucher it will let u do landscape mode infinite scroll and all that. ITs just as fast as stock launcher
hello everyone,
i hope i hitted the right forum section.
i own a N7 LTE 2013 with 5.0.2.
after lollipop upgrade and updating the new google launcher (N5/6/9 style) i noticed what it seems to be a bug, i wonder if i'm the only one who noticed it/have the bug.
if i want to change the background image, holding tap on the screen and pressing on the wallpaper button appearing on the screen, the image list doesn't refer to the right launcher: what i see is the old launcher form for wallpaper changing with the old kitkat wallpapers (except for the first image that refer to one material design wallpaper).
if i want to see the news material design wallpaper list i have to go through settings - display - background, and here i see a doubled "background" section, one list old wallpapers, the other list the new ones.
someone else noticed that?
thanks everyone

edit: my N7 is completely stock.
update: same issue after 5.1 update.
Updated to the 7.1.1 beta today. Are the round icons only appear on Pixel phones. Every article I've read said that was a feature in the beta. I am completely stock and my Icons aren't round. Am I missing something? Love the new camera update and the app shortcuts.
It's pixel launcher's privilege.. I think I saw an apk at Apkmirror yesterday about icons and pixel launcher too.
These should do the job.
I installed latest Pixel launcher apk and latest round icons app
So far the only round icon with white background I'm seeing is the calendar.
Now, regarding pixel launcher...I don't know how to make the swipe option work.
