I recommend using the SP FLASH TOOL method for flashing stock ROM if possible.
TO FLASH THIS STOCK FIRMWARE via SP Flash TOOL Click here
THIS is Lenovo A7000 Stock "MARSHMALLOW [Android 6.0]" OTA UPDATE.
version : A7000-a_S223_160405_ROW_WC814D6764
This method is the alternative method to the SP Flash tool.
I have tested it and it works:-
First, when I am on stock Lenovo rooted lollipop ROM(ver.S153_151127_ROW).
Secondly, it also worked when I am on marshmallow rooted ROM (ver.S223_160405_ROW).
The third time it works when I am on vibe 3.5 custom ROM [MM based] with custom kernel.
If you have a rooted device, your device will unroot after installing the update.
If your device is not rooted then also it works like a charm.
To install or flash this OTA ROM
1. You should have Lenovo stock recovery installed. Use any one between method a or b
(a)If you want you can Flash stock recovery via TWRP. Click here
(Procedure is the same as installing zip file in TWRP).
(b)Flashing stock recovery via SP flash tool. Click here
(Run spflash tool Download and unzip the package, load the scatter file and flash it in "download only" mode)
After flashing recovery immediately boot into a recovery check if the recovery is installed or not if not then flash recovery again.
2. Download the stock ROM from the Lenovo server.
DOWNLOAD LINK: click here
3. Now make the two copies of the downloaded package first one in internal storage(not in any folder).
4. Rename the package to update.zip to the one in internal storage.
5. Then Boot into recovery (Power + half a second the two volume buttons), then select English as recovery language.
6. Now select install update package. It will give some warning click yes then the update will start.
In between, you will feel that update is stuck don't worry it is updating, after update your phone will reboot automatically. (update may take 10-15 minutes)

Hello,
I flashed a stock rom for my zenfone 2 Z00A without any problem but because I have installed TWRP on my phone to test out cm12.1 and cm13 I can no longer do the OTA as they come in. I have searched through the forums and have tried to edit the OTA file as described but it always errors and won't install. I did a backup when I first installed TWRP, if I use that recovery file will it bring back my phone to stock or will I still have TWRP? If i will is there a way to remove TWRP and go back to the stock recovery so I can install the OTA's the normal way?
Thank you,
David

Hello,
What I did was;
1) download the latest full firmware from this site http://www.asus-znfone.com/2016/01/full-firmware-zenfone-2-ze551ml-V2.20.40.160.html and installed it using twrp as I would any custom rom.
2) After I went through all the set up I was alerted to a system update. Before I did the update I replaced TWRP with the restore.img from this link
https://mega.nz/#F!k4MHiAgL!dVuOKeH3eokcwPSNI79ffw!Z1N1EbKa using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img command.
3) After rebooting it is possible to do all the OTA updates.
Hope this helps. David Waldie

Here you should find the stock recoveries: http://www.andromods.com/download-files/htc-one-m8-stock-recovery-verizon-sprint-att-tmobile.html
download the right recovery.img file and follow these instruction on how to flash - http://androiding.how/how-to-install-twrp-recovery-via-fastboot/ - in this just change the twrp recovery.img to the one you downloaded and run the code in command prompt.
It is recommended to do I clean install to avoid any further reported errors. Once you relock the bootloader you will lose all the data (like hard reset).

However, I have to ask, if I am on stock firmware; only rooted through SuperSU and with TWRP recovery,
do I need to reinstall (reflash) or restore to sotck firmware as in steps # 7 to 9 in the post (link) I added, or
can I directly flash the stock recovery and then relock the bootloder and start downloading the update 6.0

First thing .. you cannot do OTA with a rooted stock ROM, you need a non-rooted ROM.
Secondly .. there is no need to relock bootloader - read the note in my thread.
Just read again post #1 and follow all the 14 steps, you should be fine.
Anything, you can ask in my thread as I'm not following your thread.

Hi, i would downgrade to emui 2.3 because the rom that i have (B708) is drinking my battery, can i without any risks? If i can, how?
You can look around on the forums and I'm sure you will find the proper tutorial and download links but basically you need to:
1. Flash stock recovery using ADB in fastboot mode
2. Using stock recovery you then perform an "update" using file which you put in the folder "dload" (update.app) Note: This isn't a ROM its just a "preinstall" for flashing another update.app file
3. Then you update the rom once again with the proper update.app which is I believe b132. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
4. Then finally once you boot into b132 you will get a notification for an update to b520 (not sure since it varies from region) or you can go into Settings and do a manual check for an update and then you can update and if you so desire you can enter the recovery once more to wipe data and cache so its basically brand new.
If I do have the time maybe I will link you the downloads to the stock recovery, update.app file and b132, but I'm not promising anything
Also one more thing, I recommend not flashing chinese builds if you really don't have to because these can brick your phone.
Good luck and have fun.
EDIT: You can also flash some of the ROMs on here that are based on emui 2.3
EDIT 2: Heres a guide you can follow but it seems that the links are broken... Link to the Guide
EDIT 3: Found the links :
Stock Recovery (To flash it, put the .img file into the folder of Minimal ADB, open ADB and type fastboot flash recovery stockrecoveryP6U06.img)
Unicom 2.0 (need to flash this as update.app first, after flashing it will say that it failed but don't worry its supposed to happen)
Emui 1.6 b132 (needs to be extracted first, flash after Unicom 2.0 same way)
EDIT 4: If you need further help or instructions just ask, I'll gladly explain all the steps since I recently downgraded back to stock aswell
Hi,
Below are the steps to rollback to Marshmallow from Nougat. I've only tested it on BLN-L22 so I don't know if it works with other variants.
Your bootloader would be locked. However, you can unlock again using the old unlock code.
You can find firmware of your version @ Honor Official Site
Download the Marshmallow firmware from here Honor India Official Support
Unzip it and place the dload folder in the sdcard (internal storage wont work)
Power off the device.
Press Volume Down + Volume Up + Power key to log into Huawei software upgrade
Let it finish. Now installation is done. But now when you will boot, it will bootloop and go to Huawei ercovery. Simply select the shutdown option
Once the device is off, press Volume Up + Power. This will take you to Huawei Recovery
Wipe data and Wipe Cache
Restart. You are back to MarshMallow
Kindly do the above at your own risk. It worked for me, but it may brick for you.
Edit : User @honor6xak was able to rollback after wiping the system using TWRP and following above steps. If there is no system, there would be no firmware for Honor to overwrite. It would be as good as flashing fresh.
Method 2.
1. Make a nandroid backup (complete backup) and save it somewhere safe. Just in case things get messy.
2. Download the official firmware (Marshmallow) from the Honor official site.
3. Extract the dload folder from the firmware and put it into an sdcard (physical one).
4. Reboot to TWRP and wipe data + system. Twrp will warn you about wiping system. Once you do it. Power off the device.
5. Press volume up + volume down + power this will take you to Huawei recovery and will auto install the firmware if the folder is there in sdcard.
This is a tad bit risky but if you have nandroid backup then you can be on a safe side. But still do it only if you are sure. I don't have money to pay if you Sue me

Yes, that's the reason I specified the BLN number. You don't need to login to have the firmware download. If you can give the link we can update the post.

If you flash these official version you'll get unrooted and your bootloader would be locked again. But you can unlock the bootloader again and root also.
Since it is from official website I doubt it will have any virus
So hacky but... you can find the 'rollback package' here http ://www, hihonor, ]com/us/support/details/index,html?[DOC_ID=94205] and the firmware here http ://www, hihonor, [com/us/support/details/index.html?][DOC_ID=94205]
Just remove the spaces, brackets and replace periods with commas.

Hello bro,
I several times tried the method that you mentioned in your thread using a memory card but it always failed. I'm very curious how it worked for you. Right now I unlocked and rooted my Honor 6x BLN-L22.
I just want to know if your phone was unlocked when you tried this method.
If yes I'll give it a try. It might work this time.
Thank you

You can do one thing I don't know if it work but you can try it. Download firmware finder from play store. Search for the latest nougat firmware then select download. There would be two files 1. Update.zip 2. BLNxxxx some name. Download the second file. Then flash it with twrp.
Now do the procedure as I described in the first post. When I did the roll back I was on the unofficial nougat version.
I'll search for some other method. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Thanks a lot bro. I'll try that.
It worked for me on my BLN-L24, rolling it back to I could exchange it. However I had to do a couple other steps first to get it to work, so here's my full steps that worked for me:
1. If you have twrp or another custom recovery, flash it back to stock.
1a. To find the stock recovery I had to get it from the zip file here since I'm a dumbass and didn't make a backup: If you have twrp or another custom recovery, flash it back to stock.
2. If you have a custom bootloader, flash it back to stock.
3. Download and extract the stock rom. Flashing it from zip will not work.
4. Copy the UPDATE.app to /sdcard/dload/ (not a physical sdcard, if that's what's confusing you.
5. Turn the device all the way off.
6. Press and hold volume up, and volume down, then press and hold power until the phone starts booting, immediately release it once you see something on the screen.
It should now 'update' your phone back to EMUI 4.1.

6. Press and hold volume up, and volume down, then press and hold power until the phone starts booting, immediately release it once you see something on the screen.
It should now 'update' your phone back to EMUI 4.1.

I'd put the dload folder in the sdcard folder but it didn't work. I'd to use a physical sdcard

What did you do that you are stuck at TWRP?
Tell the history then we can suggest something
Download the update_data_full_BLN-L22_channel_in.zip and place it on sdcard.
You can then flash it with TWRP

You cannot directly flash the 4.1 file on your nougat. If you want to do that then you have to use the procedure I gave in the first page.
The link I gave is for nougat version. Basically, when I had a similar problem like you I flashed the 733mb file and my phone was able to boot.
Wipe data in TWRP
Flash the 733mb file
Wipe cache
I hope it works

Both methods didn't work for me though I flashed the 733mb file using TWRP successfully.
