I'm thinking about building yall a kernel for root. I glanced at the other kernel that tried it. I compile mine differently like I did on the G920T, G925T, N920P, and N920.
Can't promise anything. It would be a "systemless root" via the boot.img being patched.

Bootloader on the ATT, TMOBILE and SPRINT Varients are locked. You might have better luck with N930F - International Varient....
Good luck. (I think the N930F is due for release at the end of the month - I would imagine that Source will be available soon after...
will this trip knox ?
Thx.
The source for SM-N930T(T-Mobile) is out. How do you go about it?

I'll pull it when I get off work.
One source covers these models...
Here
right after i sent the email to samsung for the n930A love too
N930FD is showing as available for download too.
I would donate heavily if root is obtained on the N930A.

So not only will this help get TWRP on the device, but it will get us closer to getting LOS and some working custom ROMS (GSI or not)!
Very stoked about this news
Very happy
Really nice for having them already after 1 month, since official sell started!
I've already a running version of these sources on my phone with wireguard. There are some quirks to take because we don't have natively a ramdisk in this manner anymore. Also I'm struggling with audio problems but everything else is working as I can see.
As next step I have a look at the mainline source to get them also in the tree.
I'm working on building LOS for later use with Sailfish OS... I'm currently running into build errors.

So this means the code that Xiaomi has published is bad. . .or that it will just be difficult to get custom ROMs on the phone due to the slider (or something)?

No, their code is fine because MIUI works on the mix3. It could be my device tree.

Android 11 for honor 5x has started early testing. We still failed to fix the problem of unable to boot, but we got some clues from dmesg. Now we hope more people can help us analyze the problem.
