Big problem on 99% roms Pink / white colors on camera app

Fellow members I have flashed about every Rom available for the inc and still end up with the same issue. I've tried new kernels and roms including cm, ud, virtuous, all of Lou's, and now miui 12/3.
It all boils down to install Rom. Set all apps up. Finally get around to using the camera and after I take the first pic and close the app, upon opening it again my screen turns colors ranging from pink to white. Only way to fix is reflash. Swell bc its everyday.
Help please.

Try another camera
Have you tried another camera?
In the Virtuous section of ROM manager, Extra Goodies section, there is an Evo Camera - try that.
Absent that working, is there something on the camera lens and/or is it compromised somhow - eg - did it get wet, is it cracked, etc...

I've tried that too. Still same results. It was the phone. Later that day it wouldn't boot and VZW sent me a new phone. Problem solved I guess

Compass orientation off in new GMaps?

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Ever since updating Google Maps to the new version with the new UI, compass orientation is always wacky while in 3D mode. See the screenshot below to see what I mean:

This is what it looked like immediately after tapping the location button twice. Even worse, the map doesn't even pan in the direction the dot is facing half the time, but instead moves in the opposite direction.
This doesn't seem to be a problem while in navigation mode, but it is nonetheless annoying.
Apologize if someone already posted about this but I couldn't find one. I've only tested on Rootbox, but I've used many ROMs in the past and in my experience that has never made a difference.

Yep you are correct, mine has been the same. For example completing a whole roundabout before we even get there. Moving to a field even though we're on a marked road. Moving sideways whilst driving forward. Very weird!

What roms are available for her she plays storm8 games surfs pinterest
And takes a lot of pics
I would like to update her to a newer Rom, I have Odin and root experience I'm actually on a HTC one sv extremely modded.
I did research your threads but would like some input from users here I also would prefer to use twrp or cm thanks in advance
I need something stable also she's not techhy at all just something I can flash to her phone and she can go with she's experiencing heavy lag and poor connectivity like I said I just went something quicker, stable and user friendly for her

[Q] Old GS3 - Custom ROM for best sound quality

Hi everyone,
I have replaced my old GS3 with a GS5 and now would like to use it solemnly for playing music. I will never use it as a phone ever again!
So right now the phone has had all the OTA updates and is crappy slow. I'd like to install a custom ROM that would be very performant on the music part, and with no bloatware. Obviously if the ROM has issues with text messages/phone functions etc I don't care.
Also, I have just purchased a FiiO E18 (an android external amp/dac) and will be using that to process the music.
Can anyone recommend a ROM or anything I should do to my GS3?

Sound is definitely better on TouchWiz... Maybe the BareBones ROM by metalfan78 might suit you, but it's ultimately up to you to do the research and find what's closest to what you want. Look through the Android Development section.

You can always install viper4android. It has excellent sound quality, with many customization options.

You could just download a stock touchwiz ROM, and remove anything phone related (the phone and texting app) and the other touchwiz bloatware so all your left with is the play store, some other app (calander, alarm, etc. The essentials), and the music app. It will basically be a mini tablet.

Battery drain problems

My gpad the wifi version running Android 4.4.2 got problem in retaining battery. It drains about 4 to 5 percents of the battery when the pad is in idle for about 10 hours. The pad is new so i don't think is the app i downloaded that is causing the problems. It must be something have to do with the manufacturer. Are you folks having the same problems? May be i need to flush it and reload the android to get away the apps installed by the manufacturer. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sound better than average to me (I've had quite a few tablets&phones ... but only have this GTab for 2 days).

that is actually quite good,mine use to lose 10+%.got it to only lose about 2-3% by using clean master.just kill everything when i go sleep.give it a go.

Thanks will give it a try. There are just too much possibilities here. Need an expert to figure it out.

Download App Ops Starter from playstore. Look for apps that keep your tablet from going to sleep and turn off that setting. Also you can turn off their ability to spy on you.
