The lastest chinese stable rom for my Mi Max 6gb 128GB has been draining battery like crazy. I read that the same Miui version has been causing battery drain for other Xiaomi phones, has anyone elses Mi Max 3 has been suffering the same problem lately?
Side note: This is a brand new Mi Max 3 and reason of asking is because i used the global stable on another Mi Max 3 some time ago and the battery usage is amazing.

8 hours total, i'm actually waiting to unlock the phone to switch to Global rom. When i has the 4gb version, global ran so much better.
Hmmm. Not to much [emoji19]I have SOT abt 13.5h.WIFI, internet. 10.0.1.0 OEDMIFH

That is very short. I have same model and latest china stable ROM 10.2.1.0.
I haven't done an extensive SOT but with normal usage I can get close to 48 hours. Bluetooth is only used when driving or jogging. Wifi on most of the time and cell data too.
You may have a process running in the background.
Have you used the miui cleaner and are you running stock launcher?
Unfortunately the phone i purchased had a virus and i didn't want to wait until i unlocked the bootloader to clear the rom and flash the global rom. I returned the device back for a refund. Still have my Mi Mix to rely on meanwhile.
Same battery drain on latest global rom 1035

Not sure its worth changing. I am getting worse run time with latest stable global rom. Rooted. Using magisk and edposed most offenders disabled. 100 frozen zpps and processes and goog play services is restricted. The more stuff I disable and limit the worse it gets.
Here are the specs

What is your opinion, is this a good or bad choice ?
That moment when you record with selfie camera 1080p but your display can show only 720p
Do you think there will be A3 Pro ?
In my opinion Mi A3 is a step backwards.
MI A2 has a better display and a better SOC despite the fact that it's an year older. In-display fingerprint scanner and wide lens are good additions but simply it's not enough. Having an HD+ display in 2019 in a mid-range smartphone is crazy. Snapdragon 665 is worse compared to SD 660 in terms of Gpu performance. Very disappointed by Xiaomi.
Totally dissapointed. I will keep my Mi A2 with 6/128 gb.
I'm also disappointed with the A3 specs the cc9 on which it's based gets the 710 processor and 6gb ram so why is the A3 getting less? I'm still running an A1 which I've loved for 2years was hoping this would be an easy choice.
I'm also trying out Havoc on a mi pad 4 might end up with a Chinese market phone that havoc supports......
I have an A1 and was hoping that A3 would be a no brainer for me. I guess i'll stick with it for a while now... 720p screen is a no-go.
Let's wait and see if there will be any "Pro" version of this phone.. Even A2 Lite has a full hd screen.
Mi A1 still a decent device for me. It doesn't really look like an upgrade

Best smartphone under 300 PPI
I don't really care about the capacity, S660 is still good for me, but I've expected NFC on Mi A3 for Google Pay... :crying::crying:

They put the stupid infrared port instead of a NFC sensor. It cost nothing. Also 720p display.
It is a 2012 phone for 250 euros!
What about battery life? It must be interesting. 720p amoled display + 4000mah battery + energy-saver chipset must be good for longer battery life. A cant found any battery life test, and sot time info so far...

This. I'd take one if it has good battery optimization (*cough* mi8 w/ miui 10). I'll take better battery life + super amoled over higher res screen anyday.
Unless your usage revolves around an app/site that doesn't support zooming (ie. gmail), 720 vs 1080p has no noticeable difference.

Yes its enabled, i saw one video where was checked Manual Camera Compatibilty app
Im thinking about ordering, but i need infos about battery life, but nothing was found yet
Ordered one (64GB)today on Gearvita for 237USD = 212€ with shipping to Germany. If somebody is interested, you get this price only with coupon code "ROMiA364G" wich you enter during checkout. Original price is much higher. I come from A2 and hope for much better Camera (perheps with Goggle Camera if API2 really enabled) and better battery life...
since on GSMarena Mi A3 and Mi CC9e compare almost equal, I wonder if the 128/6 GB CC9e would be able to run Mi A3 Android One and Mi A3 firmware. I also wonder if Mi A3 and Mi CC9e are A/B devices regardless of internal storage size.
@Dior DNA
Like previous generations, the MIUI counterpart (in this case, Mi CC9e) has legacy A-only partitioning scheme whereas the Android One variant has A/B one. Frankenbuilding should be possible, but complete conversion is a complicated job.
i think it's a marketing stunt - and if it's not, i feel real sorry for them. it's still a lousy move on their part.... as soon as they've pushed a first batch of converted cc9e-s (aka mi a3) they will magically release a mi a3 pro based on the standard cc9 which will be an awesome phone. it fixes everything bad in the mi a3. (screen, nfc better soc) while still keeping everything that's nice about the third gen android one. amoled, big battery.
even if they dont release it, if the cc9 gets good developer support (considering the sources are already out i hope it will) it's gonna be my next go to phone.
L.E. they only reason i see that they didnt use the cc9 is politics. with those specs it would directly compete with the pixel 3a at half the price.
I own a note 8 exynos and to be frank pubgm on it sucks big time, even though the phone was a flagship of its generation. I am just wondering if its worth upgrading to note 10+. I love the pen features but would not upgrade unless the gaming (esp. pubg) is a smooth experience.
What is the fps note 10+ owners are getting on pubg m? And on what graphic settings?

No issues there mate. (10+ 5G Australian Exynos model.)

Thanks. What about people using the non 5G version (I assume the 5G Exynos chipset is different from the 4G one).

I think only Modem is different between 5G and LTE variants of Exynos 9825 SOC and so performance of GPU should be similar between two if not same.

This is correct. Same GPU and RAM count, its just the antenna and modem that's different. (oh and it costs a lot more )
I know this is an exynos thread but pubg on Snapdragon is pretty good. Loads faster than note 9, rarely any lag wifi or 4g. In about 30 - 50 mins of game play lose about 10% battery.
Not bad I guess.
Carrier locked 256gb 10+ model
Note 10 snapdragon 855
Don't get the exynos version.. Extreme fps option is not there unless u put graphic on lower option.. If u want it for gaming get an iPhone or snapdragon
Samsung will be bringing the OneUI2.1 that shjps on the S20 series in the coming future.
